Having stayed at Casa Monica before we knew what to expect. Joyce, the agent couldn’t have been more helpful, rectifying any issues and advising us on restaurants, baby equipment etc. huge thanks to her .

I wanted to leave a comprehensive review as it would have helped me to decide which villa to choose, so here goes… There were 12 of us, all family, staying for 2 weeks in August 2019. Upon arrival Joyce the representative met us and showed us around. She explained that the Jacuzzi bath in the main bedroom was not working and that there were some tiles missing in the pool. Although a bit disappointed, the Jacuzzi bath didn’t worry us, but the missing tiles made the pool a bit of a hazard and looked untidy. We were extra careful when getting in and out the pool with no incidents. The Jacuzzi round the side by the bar area totally made up for the one in the bathroom anyway and could seat all of us! Bedrooms – 2 good sized main bedrooms within the house, one with walk in wardrobe. 6 ‘outside’ bedrooms were ‘hotel’ sized with ensuite. Mattresses – difficult question as people have their own preferences. They all looked reasonably new. Aircon can be noisy but then I’ve never had an aircon unit that didn’t make a noise! The bedding consisted of a fitted sheet and 1 pillow. On top was a single duvet cover. On the double beds were 2 single duvet covers. I feel that in a villa such as this, some nice bedding would have been expected. We asked for more pillows but there wasn’t any available. There was no spare sheets available either. Bar Area: Amazing!!! This was fantastic. The BBQ could have been bigger but you can manage as there is an oven, microwave and cooker there as well as a fridge freezer and sink. Lovely furniture and massive table to sit around. Kitchen: Lots of utensils, crockery, etc, only thing we had to buy was a can opener which we happily left for others. Plenty of fridges too. Pool/outside area: Lovely big pool. I wanted to mention that there is no shallow end, so if you have young children or non swimmers, be careful. There is no slight incline, it is just very deep once you climb down the steps. Luckily for us the last renters left inflatables which was nice. Sunbeds needed replacing but were ok if you laid on a towel. Outdoor furniture was old white plastic and dated. Would have been so much nicer to have new modern stuff. Games Room: Accessed near where the cars are parked, down very steep steps. A bit like a basement. Our teenagers only used this once. It would have been better to have the room as storage and put the games stuff by the bar area. We were looking forward to family games nights but this wasn’t possible due to the location and steps. Electric: At the end of the 2 weeks, we paid 400 Euros. We only had aircon on in the bedrooms at night. To be honest we closed the main curtains to keep the sun out during the day which helped keep the villa cool. We did have a couple of power cuts but we put that down to using too many appliances at once. We told Joyce who conveyed this to the owner. Area/Other: Javea is a lovely area, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. All within around a 5 min drive. You could walk it but we didn’t as there are no pavements and the main road gets very busy. Taxis are reasonable and easy to find. It would have been nice to have had some information in the villa like taxi numbers, bars to go, etc so I mentioned this to Joyce before we left. The villa seemed like it was unloved and could have done with some TLC. It would have made a big difference to have had nice outdoor furniture, sunbeds and lovely bedding. We left a note with Joyce to tell the owner. All in all, although some of the negative points I’ve raised were very small, nothing stopped us from having an amazing holiday in this lovely place.

Had an amazing time, villa is massive and in a great location, cars defiantly recommended (we had 3 cars) but we often walked to and from Arenal Beach which is amazing and has everything you could want, takes maybe 25-30 mins. Good supermarkets nearby also. Joyce was absolutely amazing and couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating if she tried, and everything went very smoothly! Between the 12 of us we honestly couldn’t find fault, could maybe do with a spruce up/update in areas, and a few of us did get bitten by mosquitos, but in no way did this detracted from our amazing stay. Thanks again, and already considering it again for next year! ;-)

The agent Joyce, allowed us to check in early which was a huge help! she was nice and friendly and helpful. There were 12 of us and we loved the size and facilities provided. the only negative comment would be better mattresses!! The villa was nice and tidy and there were plenty of fridges/freezers for food and beer. The main kitchen was well supplied with ample pots and pans , plates, bowls, glasses etc. There's also a dishwasher and washing machine. In the other kitchen area (BBQ area) there's an ice machine in the freezer which was a great addition. The BBQ could have been a bit larger considering there are 8 rooms but we managed ok. The pool was cleaned 3 times during our 2 week stay so can't complain about that. We all said we would consider returning for another holiday.

Fabulous villa and very spacious. Location excellent and walking distance to small supermarket and restaurant and cafe. Lots of outdoor space. Pool has no shallow end so need to be careful with small children. Need to replace tithe covers for the sun beds as they are very dirty and torn. Lots of cooking utensils but bizarrely no frying pans!.... Could also do with some extra pillow as all beds only have on pillow...small things but need mentioning. Overall I would definitely stay here again. We were very mindful not to have aircon on in day as you have to pay at end of stay in cash. We paid 268 euros for one week so be careful as it could be quite expensive.

Perfect location and views were stunning. Booking and handover process very easy. Villa beautiful but kitchen very tatty. Outdoor space great however no real useable area for shade and outdoor furniture was tatty and some broken, not enough chairs and beds for amount of guests. But had a wonderful holiday and would still love to return

Casa Gaby is a perfect place for families to have a holiday together. There is plenty of space and the pool and jacuzzi are just the right size. You do need a car, but there are plenty of things to do within a very short drive. The beaches are all very different, it is worth visiting the local one as well as sandy ones and the beautiful coves nearby. Our only difficulty was in finding the property - there is no name or number on the house and I would recommend getting met and escorted to the property.

Casa Gaby is a beautiful villa and is so generously proportioned that our group of 3 families (16 in total) had plenty of space. The villa is well equipped and there was nothing that we required to bring or buy to supplement. It is in a quiet location with stunning views of the sea but close enough to the centre of town for the younger generation to walk to bars and restaurants. The pool is of a generous size and the jacuzzi on the rear terrace was a definite winner. All in all it is a fabulous place, great value for money and a perfect lay-out for holidaying with a large group. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect villa holiday.
