An excellent villa in a very quiet location about a mile up a narrow track into the hills off the main road into Pollensa. The villa was very well equipped for our party of 8. The pool is very clean and warm. The views into the mountains are superb. The seating area under the veranda at the side of the house is a major feature and will seat at least 20. It was very warm whilst we were there and the efficient air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome. An information book about shops, restaurants, cleaning days etc. would have been useful but we managed to find out everything for ourselves. Although bath towels are provided, we only found out that we needed to take beach/pool towels after making an enquiry.

Area We loved our time in Soller and would consider returning to this town and maybe this villa. It was a very cute looking house, well situated near the town with a pool. Very close proximity to the tram stop which takes you to Port de Soller. A 15 minute walk to the beautiful town centre of Soller (try to catch the market there on Wednesdays). The whole area was charming and felt very "Spanish", not like resorts overrun by English tourists or catering for only for English tourists. Beautiful views around the villa of the mountains. Whilst we were there we didn't really experience any insects (mosquitoes/ants etc.). Nice breeze some days from the mountains. There was a lovely healthy food shop selling veg/fruit and other essentials very close by, as well as a small supermarket and a bakery. We found no need to do the usual Carrefour 'big shop' we've needed at other Villas. For this reason, the closeness of the town and the tram service to the port/beach, we found we didn't really need the hire car we had. Although we'd planned to visit Deia and other local places, we found the driving too much of a challenge (narrow roads edged by high walls, hair-pin beds etc.) in the large people carrier we had. The main roads from Palma and to Port de Soller were good. Villa The villa doesn't have aircon but this didn't pose such a big problem as we've experienced in other parts of Spain. However, more portable electric fans are needed to service all of the bedrooms, the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms wasn't quite sufficient. Pool terrace quite small but sufficient - however, needed more sunbeds/seating for a family of 6. Currently only 4 sunbeds. Wouldn't say it was suitable for young children, there are flights of concrete steps outside to the pool and to the third bedroom (which is on the 1st floor but via an exterior set of steps). The outside eating space was lovely, and we spent a lot of time there. Kitchen was a little dated (typically spanish), the equipment was ok, good fruit juicer/coffee percolator. However, it lacked multiple shelves in the oven for baking and baking dishes (we bought disposable ones from the local pound shop). Comfortable living room with plenty of seating for 6, we managed to change the language on the TV so we could watch a few English programmes - but a DVD player would have been useful. The bathroom was new and well equipped, lovely big shower. Good facilities for washing and drying clothes. Overall a good villa and very good value for money.

The villa is set in a picturesque location in Majorca with astonishing views and a quaint square a short walk away. Most impressive, was the owners accommodation.

We had a lovely two weeks in Can Cuarassa. It is a good location roughly equidistant between Pollensa old town, Alcudia and Porta Pollensa and only a kilometre or so from the sea. The pool is lovely and everything well maintained and clean. Unfortunately we were burgled whilst we were there (we were at the market in Pollensa on a Sat morning and had left a shower room inner window open and the main front gate. They used a wire to slip the snib of the outside shutter and then crawled in the small window. Very annoying however the Owner and his daughter could not have been more helpful. A few suggestions we would make to improve the whole experience :- (a) the directions as how to find this Villa were poor/ wrong and need to be updated/ corrected. An actual sign on the gate giving the Villa name would assist here, (b) the electric kettle is tiny and hopeless. We British like our cups of tea and a good sized working kettle is a necessity, (c) some sort of guide left in the Villa with days for local markets, nearest doctor/ dentist, recommendations as to supermarkets, restaurants , nice beaches, car hire and generally some local information which might assist guests. Overall, we had a very fine holiday and this is a lovely comfortable Villa with a nice and helpful local owner.

We were overall satisfied with the renting. However we would like to add a few coments: 1) Hot water was missing both at wc and in kitchen 2) The drain in the shower (garden) was more or less blocked 3) Ants were frequent in bathroom and sleeping room 4) Please observe as well that the sunbeds were quite old, and som of the sewings might need a review. 5)The most disturbing factor was the burning and especially the smoke coming from the citrus plantation next to the chicken breeder. It is difficult to understand the legacy of this kind of burning of dry grass in city area - and especially during a dry season. For any questions or alike please dont hesitate to contact me for explanations or any questions. Yours sincerely Jens Qvesel

Fabulous villa with sea views, lots of indoor & outdoor space. Great location with an amazing supermarket restaurant and a couple of bars 5 minute walk. Palma 20euros in a taxi. Just perfect. Only thing is the oven needs attention.

This is a well stocked house with plenty of space, magnificent views and a good base for seeing this part of the island. It was however a little too remote for us and no-one mentioned the tv was only available in German so not so great for the children.

The villa itself is wonderful with beautiful grounds and a superb good sized swimming pool. The nearest resort of Can Picafort however, is not pleasant at all. We arrived very early in the morning on a Sunday and as such would suggest that the villa owners should offer a welcome pack of the essentials. As with all the villas we have rented the kitchen is too small for the number of people and the fridge freezer is far too small for more than 4 people. Overall though the villa is beautiful and peaceful and would ideally suit a family.

Well laid out spacious villa high up above surrounding countryside with a choice of eating areas, smart pool and lovely view. Pretty garden overlooks field of sheep.
