About the Roney Palace
The Roney Palace is part of a complex which includes the famous "1 Hotel" and shares it pools and amenities with the hotel, except for the "1 Hotel" rooftop private pool and lounge which is restricted after 6:00 pm for Roney guests.
Chairs at the pools on the mezannine level are free including pool towels, however beach chairs and umbrellas are extra

In addition the proximity to restaurants, shopping and food markets is so that there is really no need for a car, altough there is rental car office accross the street if you want to vernture out of South Beach to visit the Casinos at Seminole or the Florida Keys.

This is our second year staying at John's condo in South Beach. I can not stop raving about it. John was receptive to any small issues that arose. Sitting on the balcony and drinking my coffee was the most relaxing thing I have done this year. The condo is exactly the same as last year - just as clean - and we had another wonderful family vacation. Dare I say - we can not wait until next year!
We rented this condo and it exceeded our expectations. The pool and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Great service at pool. RIght on beach and easy to get up and down from pool area. The condo matched the photos exactly and nothing beat sitting on the porch with iced coffee and watching the people run by on the boardwalk - except maybe getting down to the boardwalk and joining the runners! Perfect location. Well equipped kitchen and even had beach chairs and umbrella!
I needed to contact John - both before booking and once I was there and he was easy to deal with. There were no surprises - except good ones! Can't wait to go back - Lisa
We stayed at the property for a week from June 18 2013. As the owner had informed us, there is work being carried out on site. This did not affect the inside of the property except for the use of the balcony, which was off limits. The construction work commenced at 8.00am each morning and did create some noise and disturbance. Overall though this did not affect the enjoyement of our stay. The apartment is very well appointed and the pool was lovely (despite the noise). The owner was also very helpful when I contacted him with a query. We would definately recommend this property and when the constuction work is completed it will be perfect.
