Albert Road

Overview

Albert Road is in central Brighton, ideally located with in easy reach of both the local train station (3 mins walk) and all the wonderful things that Brighton is famous for it is a short walk to the three main shopping areas in Brighton (Churchill Sq, The Lanes & The North Laine). Restaurants and Bars are never far away in this vibrant city, but Albert Road benefits from being very close to the main eateries. The Brighton Pier, theatres and beach is a 5-10 min walk away. It may be central, but is on a quiet tree lined street, ideal for a peaceful getaway. I bought Albert Road because of the location, but the apartment benefits from a spacious south facing reception room, which accentuates the full length ceiling to floor windows. The flat also retains many of the original victorian period features, which seems to fit seamlessly with the more contemporary decor. All rooms are very light and airy, with neutral decor. As with all of central Brighton, parking can very difficult, however there are plenty of NCP car parks to leave your car for the week. However, since Albert Road is so close to the train station, why would you need to come by car?

Summary:

A gorgious two bed first floor flat in Victorian conversion. Extremely close to Brighton station, and the best shopping/eating outlets in Brighton.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The flat was in an excellent location for all the main attractions, but far enough away from the city centre, so was a haven of peace and quiet when needed. Parking wasn't as bad as I had expected, just have to remember to move your car every 2 hours during the controlled times. We were usually out by 11am, not back till after 6pm, so it didn't effect us much. If you just want to laze on the beach, go to the marina, parking free all day. We cooked alot and found the kitchen well equipped, would recommend a microwave if possible, maybe also a map of Brighton in the drawer with the take away menu's :-). Will definitely come again.

I have stayed at this apartment and found the location excellent - trips to London were a breeze due to the close promimity to the station. Close to all amenities, but far enough to get away from it all. Down side is the parking - difficult everywhere, but there are places near by that you can park for free.Natasha MooneyHoliday on Ice (Jan 2005)
