The property is semi-detached and is in a fairly quiet residential area. Amenities, which include Croydon's very large shopping centre, are a short bus ride away. If you intend to use a car then there is free but contested car parking space in the road at the front of the house.The house has recently been expertly renovated and modernised to a very high standard.. It is located in south east London near to fast and frequent transport links to central London. Trains run frequently and regularly from the local railways stations to London Bridge and to London Victoria.
The house is ideal for a family with children, or for a party of people visiting London for work or leisure purposes. The house has all mod cons and ample sleeping facilities for a party or family of up to 5 members.The entire property is centrally heated and has been double glazed so as to keep the house warm and comfortable during cold weather.
The house has 2 sizeable bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has one double bed and one single bed. Additionally, a cot can be provided by prior arrangement.
The ground floor contains a living room with a wall mounted 32" TV. There is a double sofa bed in the living room so that an additional 2 people can be accommodated (but only by special arrangement). The seating is adequate for 6 people. Under the stairs is a small office area that contains a desk, a chair and a broadband connection. This is ia great facility for those who need to work on-line and away from their normal place of work.
There is a spacious and modern kitchen diner containing all mod cons including a cooker, extractor fan, dish washer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, washing machine/drier, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. In other words, everything you are likely to need. The oak table and chairs provide an excellent facility for dinner parties or for family meals.
There is a modern, spacious bathroom containing a large bath with an over-head shower and full cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The bathroom is located on the ground floor and has many extras such as towels, bath mats, laundry basket, toothbrush holder, soap dish, storage. The bathroom is connected to the property's central heating system to ensure comfort.
The house has a paved and decked patio area to the rear with table, chairs and sun brolly. This provides a very pleasant setting for sitting outside on hot summer days or evenings.
If you are intending to use public transport then daily or weekly travel cards can be purchased from the local railway stations. You will need an Oyster Card to purchase a weekly travel card, but not to purchase a daily travel card. Using a travel card can give you unlimited travel on the buses, trains, trams and tube trains in the designated travel zones at a fixed price.
Central London is in zone 1 and the house is located in zone 4 or 5, depending on the station you want to travel from. You will need a card or a ticket that covers zone 5 if you intend using East Croydon railway station. Although both local railways stations are technically within walking distance we recommend using the frequent local bus service which takes you to the railway station in a matter of minutes.
Trains run all night from central London (Victoria and St Pancras International) to East Croydon railway station. The house is a short taxi ride from East Croydon railway station so you need not worry about getting home in the early hours of the morning after a late night out in central London.
Under no circumstances can the property be used for parties or for other activities likely to cause a nuisance to the neighbours. The house is for quiet residential use only.
The house offers excellent value for money for canny, discerning visitors who want to enjoy London's attractions in comfort and privacy. Much better than a hotel we suggest ! And more cost efficient.

We had the pleasure of staying at the landlords previous property last year (a two-bedroom flat, also in Croydon), so, when it came time to look for another short-term rental for our visit, we got straight back in touch with them, and found that they had recently acquired a two-bedroom house. As with their previous place, the decor and presentation was immaculate, the accomodations were pleasant and comfortable, theres a nice little garden, and their attentiveness in dealing with our requests and requirements left nothing to be desired. They even equipped the house with baby gates and cabinet locks to keep our toddler safe. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone looking for a short-term house rental in the Croydon area.
In terms of the local amenities, theres a bus stop 5 minutes walk away that takes you into central Croydon in 5 minutes, theres a good selec tion of shops and takeaways in easy walking distance, and, of course, once youre in Croydon, youre a 15-minute train ride from central London. I suppose, if I had to level any kind of criticism, the parking on Dominion Road can be tricky, as its a narrow road thats always full of cars, but thats a minor detail.
Overall, this house comes highly recommended. You will be taken care of, and you will be sure of a comfortable stay.
