The Airds is a lovingly maintained, high quality apartment to rent in an enviable location just 8 minutes walk from the sea front and town centre.
The Airds is a ground floor apartment in a large building consisting of only 2 apartments. The owners live above (a reitired couple) and they rent out the ground floor one, including the large gardens, on a holiday let basis. Both apartments have their own separate entrances, parking and garage. The owners are on hand if required or if not, you won't see them at all!
The beauty of the apartment is that whilst it is peaceful and quiet and with its own private parking, it is only an 8 minute walk to the sea front.
Being furnished to a high standard throughout, The Airds is a beautiful period property with huge rooms and high ceilings. As well as the very spacious 2 bedrooms there is a separate room off the living room that houses a double sofa bed, dressing table and drawers. Commonly referred to as the sunroom it can easily be used as a 3rd bedroom.
The layout of the cottage will also suit couples who just like a little more space and quality or families who require all the room on show.
A real feature of the apartment is the beautifully landscapred, 1/3 of an acre gardens that guest have full use of. From here you have lovely views over Sidmouth. The master bedroom, living room and sun room look out over the gardens.
The spacious living area has a treble sofa and 2 x armchairs as well as a 42 inch digital TV with Freeview. The dining areas houses a table and 6 chairs.
The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, microwave and washing machine.
The huge master bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets, a wardrobe and views over the gardens.
The 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds (with room to spare!), bedside units and a wardrobes.
The sun room has a double sofa bed with dressing table.
Wi-fi is provided throughout.
This is a wonderful and unique apartment to rent in Sidmouth that is adaptable to suit all needs and requirements. The space, the high ceilings and the location really have to be seen to be appreciated.
The apartment offers the best of both worlds. The energetic will love the pretty and romantic walks that Sidmouth and East Devon provide. Those just wanting to relax, unwide and take in the sea air can do so without the need of a car. By contrast if you want to get out and about, Sidmouth is very well located for everything Devon has to offer.

This lovely seaside town nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley.
Sidmouth has everything you could possible needs - a picturesque beach, a lovely mile long esplanade, great shops, fine restaurants, fantastic walks and much more!
The beach is an ideal place in which to relax on a deckchair. The more energetic can always climb the 500 feet high Peak Hill to enjoy the magnificent panorama Sidmouth and the coast far below. In the other direction is the equally commanding Salcombe Hill whilst inland are the green hills of the pretty Sid Valley. Alternatively there is always a gentler stroll around town, through the park and gardens and along the seafront. This is linked by a walkway to the western beach at Jacob’s Ladder.
Sidmouth’s park, The Byes, is a delightful riverside walk and quiet sanctuary. There are popular guided walks from the Heritage Centre taking in the main landmarks of the town. A ford still takes traffic across the River Sid.
As well as The Byes, there are many interesting walks and drives around Sidmouth. The nearby villages of Beer and Branscombe are both worth visiting en route to Seaton, the next sizeable resort.
Families with children will enjoy the location. If you can get them off the beach, the kids will love a visit to Crealey Park, one of Devons largest theme parks or the more relaxed Bicton Gardens with its park and train ride. "Pecorama" at Beer is also a lovely day out.

Your description did not do it justice, it was far better than we expected, especially having a second toilet . Charles and Betty could not have been most helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable and all rooms were light and airy.with plenty of space.
I would not hesitate to go back with my family or to recommend it to friends or family.
