Apple Tree Cottage England/Wales Border.

Our "cosy retreat" offers warm and comfortable accommodation throughout the year.

The beautiful hand-crafted kitchen/diner really is the focal point of the cottage. Fully equipped with oven, hob, refridgerator, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, table and chairs you'll find yourselves spending a lot of time here!

The lounge with its wood burner and a supply of logs, television and stereo system is the place to wind down after the day's activities.

The fully appointed bathroom has a brand new Victorian style suite comprising a full sized bath with shower over and glass splash panel, Wash-hand basin, WC, and radiator with heated towel rail.

Upstairs and outside the cottage.
The two bedrooms (one Double and one Twin) have stunning views of Llanymynech Rock. The twin bedroom has a further mattress under one of the beds in case you have a fifth guest.(when the mattress is used It makes the bedroom a bit of a squeeze but we do not charge extra for the use of this facility)

Outside there is a well-stocked Cottage garden to the front of the cottage. You can relax on the bench and enjoy the garden, or pass the time of day with the friendly locals. To the rear of the cottage is an off-road parking space and a raised terrace with a table and chairs and a Barbeque for those summer nights!

The Surroundings and THINGS TO DO:
Llanymynech is an attractive village half in England and half in Wales, with beautiful views over Llanymynech Rock. The village boasts three great pubs, two in England and one in Wales. In addition there are Indian and Chinese takeaways within walking distance. Golfers will be amazed at the views from the Llanymynech golf course where a young Ian Woosnam learnt his game.

Things to do:
Llangollen is only 25 minutes by car and has an adventure centre with White Water Rafting,Canoeing and Rock Climbing and many other outdoor activities.

Or, a real family favourite- an amazing trip on 'The Thomas Telford' canal boat culminating in a trip over the Pontycyslatt Aquaduct 130 feet above the River Dee.

The Historic town of Chester is also only 35 minutes by car with its Roman Battlements and ramparts which encircle the town and make for a wonderful walk, or Shop in the medievel shops set on two levels,a shopping experience like no other.
Also within driving distance: Portmerion, Llandudno, Conwy (which has the smallest house in Britain) and much much more.
Ramblers will find this an ideal centre with Offa's Dyke running close by.

Very nice cottage, lovely area, nice places to visit and plenty of short walks.Would come back again.
A small but quirky cottage with everthing you could need for your stay. Set in a lovely village with plenty of places to eat out or order in and just a few miles from the larger super markets. there are fantastic walks on the door step and easy access to alot of attractions such as chester zoo, mount snowdon and the numerous historic landmarks scattered all around the local area. Overall we had a great time and would recomend this cottage to anyone who wants to get out and explore the welsh countryside.
Small but cozy little cottage. Theres no bathroom upstairs, but wed still go back. Nice location
This is a lovely cottage, very well equipped and with character furnishings. We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed our stay here.
A lovely few days in a very quaint cottage. Our only moan is that a welcome folder would have been useful, including details of where to visit etc. Details of a local Doctor would have been useful as we had a poorly child!!
