Baradwys Coastal Retreat is on Beach Road in the South Pembrokeshire village of Llanreath in South West Wales. Llanreath has a small beach which is a three minute walk from the house (going down the road). The beach is pebbly and rocky but lovely for exploring, playing, paddling and picnicking.
There are also a wealth of stunning beaches to choose from in this area all just a short drive away. Try Barafundle and West Angle Bay and of course Freshwater West, popular with surfers and the setting for the blockbuster films, Harry Potter and Robin Hood.
The towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot are just 20 minutes away by car and both have beautiful sandy beaches.
Take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to really marvel at the beautiful coastline, walk round the Lily Ponds at Bosherston to Broadhaven South.
If you'd rather go rockpooling you can't beat Manorbier, a sheltered bay that's overlooked by a ruined Norman Castle.
There are some wonderful walks right from the house, simply walk to the bottom of the garden, through the gate, over the stream, up the bank and follow the footpath to the right. This is a marked woodland and coastal walk which circumnavigates the golf course and follows the coast. There is a footpath (the first footpath off to the right after a few minutes walk) that leads right down to a secluded part of the beach although this walk takes about 7 or 8 minutes and involves some steps. The footpaths can be accessed straight from the very bottom of Baradwys gardens. Please see our 'gardens' page for more information.
There is a pub within a mile, another pub a few hundred yards further on plus an ASDA supermarket, then there is a Tesco supermarket a quarter of a mile further on. Please be aware that you have to pay in the ASDA supermarket car park but not Tescos.
There are many leaflets at Baradwys giving information on local attractions for all the family to enjoy.
There is a wide gateway leading from the road and there is plenty of parking on the driveway.
The property can not be seen properly from the road with just the roof top visible. Although there is a front door from the street, this is accessed down a flight of steps. It is rarely used and more convenient to use the back door, going off the driveway, as the main entrance. This door leads into the kitchen /utility room and there is an en-suite double bedroom, with super Kingsized bed, going off to the left.
