We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at The Croft. The terrace and garden were just lovely, thanks to the great weather, we made good use of them both. Every morning was greeted with wonderful views and sunny breakfasts al fresco. The house was homely and had everything you could want. Cathy the owner was very friendly and helpful. We found lots of great walks and the town itself was very popular and had all we needed. We will be recommending The Croft to friends and family and would definitely return, perhaps at winter time (if available). It is completely understandable that the house is booked so far in advance. We feel very lucky to have managed to fit in a stay!

Had an absolutely brilliant week at the Croft. Can't fault a single thing, the location is perfect with stunning views across the valley, everything you could need is in the house including a lovely welcome hamper from the owner. The owner herself is so friendly and welcoming nothing is too much trouble.
Enjoyed so much already booked for next year we can't recommend the Croft highly enough.

Thank you for your kind review Keith. Looking forward to welcoming you all back to the Croft next year. Thank you very much indeed for the bottle of wine and card you left me - very welcome but not necessary!

Lovely home from home holiday accommodation with everything you would ever need. Complimentary welcome basket was very well received, thank you! Rothbury itself was a great base from which to explore the wider area from.

Couple from Coalville, United Kingdom Mar 2017

We were so impressed with Cathy's attention to detail, the quality of the furnishings, the range of equipment and the cosy but spacious accommodation. Perfectly located for us, so we could walk straight out onto the moors. Rothbury is a charming small town, with a comprehensive range of independent shops, all of which provided excellent service, there is no need to travel elsewhere to shop!

We could have not expected better service!

This is our second stay at the Croft; this visit was as fantastic as the first one.

The house is warm and welcoming, Cathy has thought of everything, and I'm sure she even arranged the good weather! Rothbury is a great location, with plenty of walks right from the front door and wonderful beaches and castles a short drive away. There are lots of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby to enable you to have a car-free week should you wish.

If you don't feel like going out, you can always stay in and practice your piano playing (there's plenty of music), catch up on your reading (there's a good selection of books)... or just sit on the balcony with a coffee and enjoy the view.

The Croft really feels like home ... and we wish we were there now!
