Cosy detached house set in small garden on edge of Northumbrian National Park. Ideal for walkers, naturelovers, cyclists and families.
On the edge of the Northumberland National Park and only a short scenic drive away from the medieval market town of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, Coquetdale is a great base from which to visit the unspoilt countryside and coast of Northumberland.
Nearby the popular village of Rothbury has a challenging 18 hole Golf Course, Leisure Centre with swimming pool and gym, tennis courts, fishing, bike hire and guided walks are available locally. Enjoy visiting the selection of friendly cafes, pubs and restaurants .
Visit National Trusts Cragside House on the outskirts of Rothbury with its fascinating history, beautiful lakes and acres of ornamental grounds.
The Northumberland Heritage Coast is within a short drive with its castles, quaint working fishing villages and long stretches of sandy beach. Take a boat trip to Holy Island and or to the Farne Islands to visit the bird and seal colonies from Seahouses.
Holy Island, only reached at low tide, is a very special place with its fascinating history, beautiful village, castle and priory.
Hadrians Wall, a World Heritage site, is within an hours drive and is free to visit.
Beamish Museum, one of the North East's top tourist attractions and a fascinating day out for all the family is within a 2 hour drive .
Visit Kielder Water with its boat trips and bike trail. You can even enjoy star gazing at the small observatory in some of the clearest skies in the country.
This lovely Northumberland Self Catering Cottage is a great place to stay for couples .families or groups of friends .
You enter the property straight into the sunny conservatory which is on the front of cottage with space to store/dry walking boots cycles etc..
There is a spacious family farmhouse style kitchen/diner. This has everything you need for a home-from-home holiday including cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Plenty of utensils, pots and pans and crockery are available.
Also downstairs there are two bedrooms:
• Bedroom 1 . Double bedroom with views over the rear garden.
• Bedroom 2 . Double bedroom wih views over the rear garden .
• Shower room with shower cubicle wash hand basin and w.c.
On the first floor there is a spacious sunny lounge with open fire and feature fireplace. Additional sleeping for 2 on sofa bed in lounge .Patio doors leading to a balcony with fantastic views over the Simonside Hills. furniture available to enjoy breakfast and a coffee!
• Comfortable Master bedroom with super- king size bed, fitted wardrobes ,portable tv and clock radio.

Pillows and duvets are included in the rent. Sheets pillowcases and towels can be supplied for an extra charge of £20 payable in cash to caretaker on arrival when picking up keys to property or customers can bring own if they prefer *

Oil fired central heating .Electric heater and portable gas heater in conservatory. Open fire with feature fireplace in lounge.Electric Fire also available for additional heating if required.

We are happy to accept one well behaved dog at this property and there is a pet fee payable with your booking of £20 per stay. . Please enquire if you have more than one dog and let us know the breed and we still may accept your booking.
Private parking for 2 cars . Plenty of free of charge on street parking nearby if required.
