Fabulous property in the middle of a beautiful village. The house was spotlessly clean and things like fresh milk, butter and a fruit loaf really made it a home from home experience. John and Karen were great, communication was really good - we will be back again. Had a fantastic few days walking in the local area.

situated at the top of the hill , quite steep 10 min walk down to harbour, owners very friendly , but single beds and all bedding could do with updating , shower sealant needs renewing , as not very inviting to look at or step into , wifi was a extra cost also of £10 ? apart from these few things ... generally good overall

A perfect location for a peaceful getaway. Lots of dog walking opportunities. Cottage was very well equipped and comfortable and we had a warm welcome once we had found the cottage. There was no name at the entrance to the cottages so very difficult to find especially in the dark. We would highly recommend it.

If you want a break away from a hectic lifestyle, this is the place to stay. We found Stables Cottage barn conversion to be very well equipped, spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, a real home away from home. Abbeycwmhir is a quiet village and is described as a “remote historic village hidden away in the Cambrian mountains, virtually undiscovered by the modern world”. Pretty well sums it up. The satellite Wifi seems to be a bit weather dependent, but we found it more reliable than we experienced in Dublin. The ruins of the 13th century Abbeycwmhir Abbey, the 19th century neo-Byzantine St. Mary’s Church and the spectacular Abbeycwmhir Hall are all easy walking distance from the Stables. This is the first time we’ve stayed in a self-catering cottage as we invariably book BnB’s and hotels when holidaying. After our stay here, this practice may well change. A word of caution for overseas visitors, roads into Abbeycwmhir are narrow, so keep well to the left and be prepared to stop to allow cars to squeeze by. I’m a cautious driver and managed to cope with the challenge. If I can, anyone can.

Had a fantastic stay , cottage exceeded our expectations combined with great surroundings I wouldn't hesitate to return to happy union stables for a relaxing comfortable and very enjoyable stay and strongly recommend , owners were great and welcome package was brilliant we loved the freshly baked barn bread many thanks with only one negative which was poor wifi but due to area it's understandable but maybe having own dedicated wifi in cottage would improve this but seriously not a bad point by any means because there isn't any I can think of

Yet another fantastic stay at this holiday home. We all thoroughly enjoyed our second holiday here. The cottage is very well equipped and is a real home from home. Theres so much to see and do in the area for all ages. Our hosts were very welcoming and the cottage is a real credit to them. Im sure that we will be returning again in the near future.
