Spent a week at Gulls Way for the Tall Ships event. Very good location - have stayed in different properties in Packets Quay before. Great views, very comfy apartment, comfy bed. Maybe could do with some plumper pillows. Kitchen small but well equipped for holiday use [apart from a decent plastic ice tray]. Just a few things let the property down, particularly the bathroom. The grouting around the shower/bath is in great need of cleaning/bleaching or renewal, likewise the shower head which had some black mould on it. If it was my property I would install a glass shower screen rather than a shower curtain, which are hard to keep hygienic and difficult to manage when wet if one person has a shower followed by someone else wanting a bath. The kick strip in the kitchen was loose and kept falling off and a few small things like the hooks in the kitchen which were broken and one on the bathroom door could be easily repaired or replaced and would make the world of difference. Also it would be useful if washing up liquid was available and a black bag for the rubbish at the end of the stay - otherwise presumably everyone who stays has to go out and buy these each week like I did.

We had a great week in Falmouth. The weather was very kind and this property is an ideal base. It is "compact" so would worry if the weather had been less kind. Itiny criticism is the shower is a little cramped - if you are taller than 5 9 " then its a bit of a contortion to get a wash. Local facilities are very good. Parking space easy to get in and out of(might be different if car park was fuller). Leave some ice in the fridge. Its also a bit stuffy overnight - with no possibility to open windows - have to open doors of balcony. We would consider returning to building but next time might look at those apartments with a bigger outdoor area. Saying that the view from Gulls View is magnificent.

Stayed Saturday 25 January 2014 - Solo
Ive chosen to give Gulls Way apartment 4/5 stars, it was an amazing stay but a few things subtracted from it which prevents me from giving it 5 stars. I had a bit of trouble actually finding the apartment first time around as Im not that well known in that area of Falmouth and the placing on google earth/map was a bit misleading (just a bit further down the street than it actually was). At this point, it wouldve been very nice to have the owners number so I couldve called her and asked for directions, but I didnt and I eventually found the apartment with a bit of help from a friend of mine. Once in the apartment I was thoroughly impressed (and so was my friend), it looked absolutely stunning! It was very clean and tidy, and a bottle of white wine was placed on the table as a welcome gift which was a very nice touch (especially for me as I love wine, but unfortunately cant drink red wine). All of the rooms were perfect for a solo stay, probably for a couple as well, and I also realised during my last few days there that the sofa was the kind you can pull out and it becomes a mattress (I think, didnt test it as I had no use for it). My only complaints are the following: The heating and the boiler was not on when I arrived, so I had to make do with cold water until I figured out that the boiler wasnt on. The kitchen equipment couldve been better. Among other nitpicking I found that the previous guests appear to have not been too good at washing up, so most of the mugs had old coffee stains in them that are impossible to remove. I knew they were clean, but it still wasnt very tempting to use the mugs. The apartment itself wasnt anywhere close to being "soundproof" (dont know the proper word for it in English) so you could hear everything going on outside and in the next apartment. Lastly, as Ive never rented a holiday apartment on my own, I was hoping there would be a sort of instruction leaflet there. Like where the bins are, how to clean before leaving, informing me that I had to turn on the boiler myself, how to work the TV and other small stuff like that. Besides these small things, my stay was absolutely perfect and I will definitely try to book this apartment again for my next trip to Falmouth!

This is the 2nd visit to Gulls Way, thats how satisfied we are with it! A lovely apartment with FANTASTIC views, ideal location, literally yards from some excellent pubs and restaurants and within 1 minute walk you are right in the town centre. The apartment is adequately equipped for a weeks stay, and ideal for romantic week away. The secure carpark is also a great bonus. I would highly recommend this to couples of all ages, Falmouth has lots to offer, so many lovely shops and things to do.

Lovely property, amazing views with the added bonus of balcony. Perfect for two, bit cosy for 4. The bed was really comfortable and the wine on arrival was a lovely touch. The only down side was the shower could do with being replaced and the kitchen is a slightly dated. We would definitely recommend and will no doubt be staying again!

Unfair to claim it sleeps 2-4. It is clearly 2 person accommodation only. We have stayed in this property before, 2-3 years ago, and would come back again. Great views, ideal for 2, only downside is that the kitchen requires upgrading as most of the units are tired and worn.

Gulls Way is a lovely property, as good if not better than the photos! Perfect for 2 - we were there on our honeymoon at the end of May 2011 - so brilliant location to explore than lovely town of Falmouth, just a stroll to lots of lovely pubs and restaurants. The views every morning and evening - AMAZING! The apartment was as described - kitchen adequately stocked, plenty spacious living area for 2 or small family using the sofa bed. Good covered parking - as we only moved the car once! I would definitely recommend to friends/family and we hope to return for out first anniversary and many more in the future! Many Thanks Caroline & Ben Westwood

Ideally situated loved watching the boats from the French windows and a.good base for exploring local town and beaches . Brilliant that it has its own car parking space so you can explore the rest of Cornwall as well. Apartment itself was very comfortable and well equipped just right for the two of us may be a little bit cramped for four.

I am from Falmouth originally and return twice a year to see family. I was brought up on Greenbank and this apartment brought back so many happy memories. The views are beautiful, and its position is so good for the town and amenities and the parking was just so easy, think I have found my perfect place to stay and will definitely be staying here again. The apartment itself was perfect, had everything I needed and even included a complimentary bottle of wine. Thankyou

This is the second time that we have stayed in this apartment, and we LOVE it! it is so relaxing and the views are just perfect. So easy to park the car, and just walk to all the restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. or maybe just take the ferry for a day out. We hope that we will be able to retun next year, or maybe the following. Jenny & Pete

Gulls Way is a lovely apartment and had everything we needed,(Although we did find the fire alarm is not working and needs upgrading). The views were stunning. Unfortunately due to the apartment been so warm, we had to leave the bathroom window open and door to try and get air into the bedroom. This resulted in, us be able to hear revellers going home just outside the bathroom window, often to the early morning, maybe a fan could help cool the bedroom down. While we were there a party started in a adjoining flat at 2.30a.m. thursday night and didnt stop un til 4.45a.m. when I managed to speak to the young people involved, they did stop the music immediately, but by this time we had lost our sleep. Due to the lost sleep early in the week we decided to leave Gulls Way on the Friday morning ( Even through we had plans for Friday and Saturday) we could not stand another sleepless night if the people next door decided to party again. We did contact the owners and they were very concerned and said they would look into our conplaint. They offered to put us in a hotel for the Thursday night, but by the time the text came through to my mob we were home.

Gulls Way was just as we expected from the excellent photos. A lovely base for a very romantic couple. We had an excellent two weeks and were not bored at all. Plenty do in Falmouth with Regatta week and Brad Pitt filming. We did not tire of the fantastic views of the harbour as there was always something to watch. An excellent position to watch the red arrows. We will definitely be booking again in the very near future.
