Cornish coastal property with spectacular sea views - close to sandy surf beach and coastal path - ideal for 2 families holidaying together or 2 - 3 couples wanting a beach or walking holiday.
This waterfront home is decorated in a contemporary, relaxed beach house style. Bright and spacious, it has spectacular sea views from the lounge, main bedroom and front deck. Sunsets are unmissable - enjoy from the deck or lounge with a large glass of wine!
We are right on the coast path and close to a sandy surf beach, so ideally located for a beach /surfing or walking holiday.
The property sleeps a maximum 8 people (maximum 6 adults) in 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin room and is best suited to a large /extended family or 2 families on holiday together.
MAIN BEDROOM: Kingsize four-poster bed, painted wooden floorboards, door to deck and front garden, sea view.
BEDROOM 2: 2 single beds, tiled floor, garden view.
BEDROOM 3: Double bed, tiled floor, sea glimpses.
BEDROOM 4: Kingsize bed, garden and countryside views.
BATHROOM 1: Bath with electric shower over, basin, shaving point, WC. (near bedrooms 1 and 2)
BATHROOM 2: Bath with electric shower over, basin, WC. (Adjoins bedroom 4 and can be used as en-suite).

KITCHEN: This is open-plan to the lounge/dining room and fully equipped with electric hob, double oven, microwave, fridge /freezer, dishwasher etc.
LOUNGE /DINING ROOM: Sofa, LCD TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player with ‘music port’ (for MP3/iPod connection). Dining table and chairs. Painted wooden floors. Patio doors to large west-facing deck. Panoramic sea views.
LOUNGE /FAMILY ROOM (2nd Reception): Sofa and low seating, LCD TV with Freeview, DVD player. Broadband /internet connection. Tiled floor. Patio doors to sunny garden.
OTHER: Laundry with washing machine. Large entrance hall with space for boots, coats. Courtyard and back patio with hanging space for wetsuits.
CLEANING /LINEN: Bedlinen and bath towels are NOT included – nor beach towels. Duvets and pillows ARE provided. The property is cleaned before arrival and on departure - additional cleaning can be arranged if required (paid locally).
GARDEN /OUTSIDE SPACE
Front garden: Large west-facing wooden deck with 4-seater bench. Only a short distance from the cliff with spectacular sea views and amazing sunsets.
Back garden: Sunny lawned garden adjoins farmland and has direct access to country paths. Picnic tables, loungers, parasol, barbeque. Views of sea, farmland and countryside.
Location and Activities
The property is just metres from the Coast Path, offering an unrivalled opportunity to walk in either direction along the cliffs and explore the stunning Cornish coast. It also has direct access to country walks heading inland across farmland to the Bude canal and beyond.
Some great beaches nearby (2 minute drive or 20 minute walk away): 2 family surf beaches with surf hire and summer life guards at Widemouth Bay and several beaches and a sea water swimming pool at Bude. Many other wonderful beaches further afield.
Other than its magnificent beach, Widemouth Bay has 2 beach café’s, a great local pub with restaurant, garden and sea views and a local shop selling freshly caught fish, crab and lobster. There is also a restaurant with a growing reputation situated a short walk from the property (5 min. along the coast path).
Bude is an attractive Cornish seaside town with a harbour and canal, a few café’s /restaurants (one in particular which we highly recommend), some good local produce suppliers (including organic) and 3 major supermarkets. There are 1 or 2 decent boutiques /clothes stores, several good ‘serious’ surf equipment suppliers and plenty of ‘bucket-and-spade’ type shops selling inexpensive beach/surf gear.

Although the property is on one level and therefore suitable for those with mobility difficulties, it is not wheelchair friendly due to a few steps at the front door and uneven ground in the garden.

beautiful views of the coast and the seting sun, right out side our door step. Plenty to do in the local area with our 2 girls. Lots of child friendly places to eat.
This is one of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in. Everything was clean and well kept. The outside space is great, a hose out the back to wash out the wetsuits and decking out the front to watch the sunsets.
If youre looking for peace and tranquility mixed with fantastic sunset views across the cliff tops and sea then this is the place to stay.
Cool whites surf inspired cottage and yet child friendly too. Beds are wonderously comfy.
For dismal wet weather days theres the milky way adventure park to keep the kids out of mischief.
Further a field some lovely pubs to be discovered on windy country roads.
The local people and owner are welcoming and friendly, offering genuine advice without intrusion.
Chruch Races is a little piece of heaven that quite literally "sits" on the dramatic North Cornwall coastline. The property has been tastefully decorated with heavenly white-washed walls and floors along with contemporary, comfortable soft furnishings. Its a pleasure to wake up each morning in this lovely little property. A special mention goes to the wonderful master bedroom. What a mattress !!! -I slept so deeply for each night of our stay!! The owners have thought of everything - barbeque, plasma TV, outdoor furniture (front and back garden), CD player, fully equipped kitchen, DVD player & DVDs, hooks for surfwear....Its hard to fault the property - perhaps the only slight disappointment is the poor shower - its rather weak and dribbly - not great for those of us with long-hair! The sea view including the dramatic sunsets from the cottage are second to none - nothing quite like sitting in the front garden with a glass of wine watching the sunset!.You will definately require a car to explore the area - there is so much to see, wonderful walks, incredible beaches, dramatic landscapes, beautiful villages in cornwall and devon, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, great restaurants - we recommend Lifes a Beach in Bude for a great meal. I should say, the town of Bude itself (a pleasant 20-25 mins walk from the property) is great for shopping and eateries but its fair to say that it lacks the beauty of the nearby historical Tintagel as well as Port Issac, Boscastle and Padstow - to name a few. The convenient local shop in Widemouth Bay (approx 1 m from the property) sells great produce - Ive never bought such succulent chicken - delicious! All in all its a beautiful property in a stunning setting. Book now to recharge those batteries - this is a little gem!

Car hire is recommended as the house is less than a 15 minute walk to at least a couple of shops, bars and restaurants; however parking is available if required.
