Very Central! Our cottage is in a quiet street, but just yards from Western Road and its shops, clubs and restaurants - no need for taxis! 5 mins walk from sea, 10 mins from station. Free WiFi.

Situated in the Clifton Hill Conservation Area, Dragonfly Cottage was built in 1824 and retains many period features. It is in a quiet road, but is just yards from the big shops, restaurants and clubs and just five minutes walk from the sea.

It is equally suitable for a great hen do or birthday celebration, but is also great for a family gathering. We have lots of excellent feedback from previous guests.

There are three double bedrooms which include three double beds and a single guest bed. There are two bathrooms, each with a walk in shower, and a downstairs cloakroom. Groups of over seven will need to use the double sofa bed, two single Z beds and cube bed. The top floor bedroom is up a steep flight of stairs which may not be suitable for young children or those with impaired mobility.

The cottage is very well equipped, and we have tried to include everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. We have tried to make it as comfortable as possible for our guests, so, for example, the duvets and top pillows are all goose down and feather.

The rental includes sheets, towels etc. There are no nasty little extras for cleaning, guests over a certain number etc!

The large, open plan lounge is perfect for socialising with a glass of wine to chat and plan the evening or weekend ahead. There is a wide screen TV, DVD player and DVD library and a Bose Apple compatible docking station. The dining room is separate from the lounge and the large dining table seats up to 10.

The courtyard garden is a great sun trap in the afternoons and an oasis away from the city.

Everyone who stays at Dragonfly Cottage raves about the location which is very central, just yards from Western Road and all the big shops. Preston Street with wall to wall restaurants of every type is about three minutes walk away and there is a Waitrose, Sainsburys and an M&S food yards away from the cottage so you won't starve! Just about everything is walking distance including the sea which is about 5 minutes walk away and all the pubs and clubs. There is an excellent little craft beer outlet, The Brighton Beer Dispensary, adjacent to the cottage which we would thoroughly recommend.


Book any Friday and Saturday night and you can check out as late as you like on Sunday for no extra cost! Provided we do not have guests leaving on the day you arrive we will also try to accommodate requests for an early check in.

As it is in a residential area, Dragonfly Cottage is not a party house, but is a great central base for everything Brighton has to offer. Chilled out hen do's are always welcome. Smoking is fine in the courtyard garden, but not in the house. Sorry, we do not normally accept all male groups.
