Sunset Villa is located in the Sunset Village Residence on the border of Yalikavak and Gumusluk. This luxury villa has a private walled garden and enjoy views over the Aegean Sea and the islands beyond, even though the villa is on the second row. This is the perfect location for watching the fabulous sunset that this area is renowned for.
Sunset Village Residence successfully combines peace and tranquility with activity for the whole family. The villa is situated directly infront of the largest of the 2 swimming pools, both have a separate kids pool and plenty of sun terraces and sunbeds with luxury cushions. The staff wait to greet you at the pool-side bar – there is comfortable seating with parasols to shade you from the sun whilst you enjoy the freshly prepared food and drinks. Wireless internet connection is also available along with toilet and shower facilities. An air-conditioned shuttle service (not free) is available to the beach, Yalikavak, Bodrum Town and to the local Supermarket. It is also available for private hire with driver. A Car is not essential but can be arranged. Airport transfers can also be arranged.
Sunset Villa was completed in May 2007 and accommodates 8 people plus a cot. The spacious open plan living area has a comfortable L-shaped sofa. There is a dining table and chairs and a fully fitted luxury kitchen with granite worktop. Two sets of double patio doors lead to the covered terrace, with dining table and chairs – a must for the Bodrum climate. There is a large ground floor shower room and a laundry/storage room. On the first floor there is the masterbedroom with en-suite dressing and shower room. There are 2 further bedrooms [one double and one twin – both with fitted wardrobes] and the family bathroom. All bedrooms have patio doors to the first floor terrace – a perfect place to relax on the sofas and enjoy the sunset.
What is there to do nearby?
Yalikavak - This once sleepy fishing village is now becoming one of the busiest marina towns on the peninsula whilst still retaining its charm and culture. The cobbled streets of the main town offer a variety of shops, restaurants and cafe bars. If you enjoy eating fresh fish then you will be at home here as there are many excellent fish restaurants along the marina– just look for the sign ‘Balik Restaurant’. Yalikavak is known for its clean air, stunning sunsets and crystal clear waters and offers fabulous views of both the sea and the mountains. Port Bodrum Marina - opened in Yalikavak in 2003 - harbours both fishing boats and luxury millionaire’s yachts. Most of the archaeological remains in this area are either unexcavated or are ruins. It is suggested that the ancient city of Yalikavak was situated on the top of one of the surrounding hills. Few tombstones and city walls still bear witness to the history of the town.
Gumusluk - meaning ‘of silver’ is the harbour of ancient Myndos and is one of the oldest settlements on the peninsula. This area is steeped in history and rich in archaeology both on land and underwater. Bring your snorkel because there is so much to see just below the water where parts of the historic city subsided. The centre – a small fishing village - has kept its charm thanks to strictly enforced building prohibitions. This photogenic small waterfront is home to about 20 fish restaurants and a few craft shops – perfect for an elegant lunch or dinner. The only noise is the gentle lapping of the sea on the shoreline. From here you can walk across the sunken causeway to Rabbit Island. The area is not over-developed and provides some of the most scenic views on the peninsula.
The Bodrum Peninsula - is situated on the south west coast of Turkey and is by far the prettiest area on the South Aegean coastline. Bodrum is unique as it caters for such diverse interests. You can experience traditional Turkish life only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of a modern resort. Watersport enthusiasts are more than catered for. Many of the resorts offer parasailing, windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling, banana boats and ringos. Divers from all over the world enjoy exploring the waters around Bodrum and there is something for both beginners and advanced divers. There are many Diving schools offering internationally accredited courses and who act as dive guides. For the Children – or the young at heart – there are two Aqua parks on the peninsula, one in Bodrum and a larger one between Ortakent and Konacik. And of course, a Turkish Bath is a must!
The area is steeped in history and this is still evident right across the peninsula. Take time to visit the more obvious sites such as St. Peter’s Castle, The Mausoleum, The Amphitheatre and Myndos Gate. There are various ways are to explore the peninsula. You can cover the whole peninsula by car in just a few hours by following the coastal road. Daily Gulet cruises, available from all harbours and bays, visit some of the beautiful bays and coves. Alternatively you can visit each village individually by public transport called a Dolmus.
The sun shines endlessly in Bodrum and after sundown you will enjoy the millions of stars in the clear sky. There is no humidity, and rain in Bodrum during the summer (April to October) is a very rare occurrence. There is no ‘winter’ in Bodrum, frost and snow never touches the Aegean. Of course we do have rain in ‘winter’ but mostly the days are sunny and bright. You have to experience it to truly appreciate the attraction of Bodrum.

The villa was presented spotlessly clean and was very well equipped and furnished. The shaded ground floor terrace was excellent for dining, the first floor terrace was perfect for chilling out with a book. Sunset Village is a fantastic complex and the other owners and guests made us very welcome - we (and the kids) made some new friends for life. The facilities such as the pool, bar and shuttle bus were excellent. This is are second visit to Yalivavak and highly recomend it to anyone. We are planning next years visit to Sunset Village already. Many Thanks to the owner of this superb villa.

The house was great and also the people on the residence were very friendly and helpfull. Even the free bus to Yalikavak was perfect. The house is really complete with good beds. The overvieuw from the house over the sea and the surroundings are great aswell. Even the cleaning was perfect arreenged because we stayed in the house for 11 days they came on the seventh day to change the linnen for the other 4 days we had still to go PERFECT. The surroundigs are really beautifull and there is a lot to see in the neighbourhoods. If you rent a car you can really see a lot of the real Turkey and there friendly people because everywhere you come specially outside the tourist area you will find an unbeatteble hospitallety. Our holliday in this villa was an unforgetteble one and not in the last place because of this great villa with its great services We will for sure come back here for an other holliday.

quiet location, beautiful view of the sea. The pool was within a few feet of the villa. easy parking, the villa was very well equipped, and having the dvd player and the satelite tv with UK programs was a real treat in the evenings, and during the heat of mid-day, very good for keeping the children happy and out of the sun for a bit.
I found the property beautiful and was very clean. It was like being home from home which is what i wanted especially with the family being with us.The views were stunning and the sunset every night was beautiful. Our stay at the vill was great and the people in the other villas which we met were very helpful. The pool was fabulous and i was in it most of the holiday . My granddaughter loved the pool and at night she loved searching for little lizards with grandad. The only thing i would suggest is that you definately need a car as you are at the top of the hills but it didnt really bother me at all.Yalicavac was loverly and i would definately reccomend this villa it was so lovely plus the pool was fight next door i would like to thank yalcin who ran the pool bar for his input about the place and he was really good with the children also carol the owner was lovely she was very helpful. Hopefully i will return but i would like to come on my own with just my hubby as i found i needed another holiday with all the family being with us so i would definately like to have a 1 bedroom villa or 2 many thanks christine
I stayed at this villa for one week in May 2008 and I am more than happy to provide a reference for the owner. The accommodation was spacious, well maintained and of a very high standard. The swimming pool was crystal clear each morning and the resort staff were courteous and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and please pass on my thanks and gratitude to the owners.
Fabulous villa - furnished and equipped to a high standard. Relaxing on the upper terrace watching the sun go down was a great experience. The main swimming pool and bar which is just a stones throw away was superb - chrystal clear. The free shuttle bus services the villa very well. Would definately recomend this lovely villa.
The Villa was beautifully presented and fully
equipped. It was very clean and comfortable.
Totaly exellent value for money there was even a welcome pack waiting for me.
The Villa is in a great setting with fantastic views of the sea. The site is clean and well kept with a large pool area -unfortunatly being December too cold to swim. There is a pool Bar were snacks and drinks are served with friendly staff - in fact the staff can't do enough for you. There was also a free shuttle sevice into Yalikavak and in to Bodrum Town .
I booked this villa as a base to look around the Yalikavak area to purchase a property - but I didn't have to look very far and have to decided to buy a villa on this site (sunset).
I would highly recomend this clean, modern villa
to anyone and would definetly stay there again.
The property itself is excellently furnished & on a small, secure estate with really good facilities - pool, bar area & minibus. The only thing I was disapponted with was the view as it's in the 2nd row back. The wonderful view is blocked by the house in front but you can see it from the swimming pool area.
I would be interested to hear why you were disappointed. Your text gives a good review which does not match your scoring. With regards to our villa being on the second row - this is clearly stated in the description of the property, however there are still good views as seen in the photo which is an actual photo taken by me from the property. Kind Regards. Carol
We stayed at this brand new villa during the first week of August 2007, with us being the first occupiers furniture was in excellent condition. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location of the resort gives you a magnificent view over the Aegean Sea specially at the sunset time, the villa is centrally located in a quiet resort away from the crowd. However, the villa is located in the second raw that takes away only part of the view but you could still enjoy the scene. The main swimming pool is awesome just few steps behind the villa. It's worth mentioning here that daily free shuttle service provided by the resort management to Yalikavak and Bodrum is a plus, other wise it will be very difficult -if you don't have your own car- to go around specially for dining. This is basically due to the location of the resort at the very top of the hill quite far from restaurants and supermarkets. Overall all, the whole family had a great experience in Bodrum peninsula, and we all came back home with great and lovely memories. Thank you very much Carol (owner).
