Stayed in this villa for the 4th time and definitely be returning next year, if I could live there I would. The staff have changed since my last visit but this time round they were amazing and did as much as they possibly could to ensure that we had an amazing holiday!

It took a while for the driver to find the Villa in the dark but when we got in we found it to be exactly as advertised. Really nice and spacious inside with all the things you need to make it a home from home. We cooked sometimes and ate on the veranda with the setting sun and mountainous scenery as a backdrop. The pool and grounds around the villa are superb, with plenty of space for sun worshippers and people who need some respite from the 40 degree temperatures. We have been to Uzumlu before and this is situated on the lower side of the village a couple of minutes walk behind the petrol garage and gives you loads of privacy. The walk to the village takes a good 15 minutes but there is a cut through which makes it more interesting, seeing the wildlife and saying Merhaba to the locals. It is relatively flat compared to where we stayed before at the top end of the village, so a car is not necessary unless you want to travel further afield and even then the Dolmus is easy to deal with and cheap. There are about 6 nice restaurants around the village and Guli is lovely lady who runs the Cafe. Sky sports is in the Grape garden and they normally have a few games on at the same time and the traditional barbers are good for the Turkish shave and massage. Fetihye market is great and only about 20 minutes on the Dolmus and Olu deniz is just a bit further. You really get the best of everything and have the ability to choose whether you want the tranquility of the village or want to travel to the bustling tourist areas. With 3 generations of our family there, a mixture was perfect. The new addition of Wifi to the villa will make it perfect in order to keep the younger generation busy when us parents and grandparents wanted some rest time. We loved it so much we are going back again this year and would recommend to others.

A lovely, peaceful villa in very beautiful surroundings. Pool was great, Uzumlu very welcoming and delicious restaurants - Lup Lup cafe (the lady is SO kind), Selale restaurant etc. Must visits are Kadianda ruins (just up the road), Fethiye market, Saklikent (but NOT during a thunderstorm!) and a private boat trip is really good value. We would love to go back and very jealous of anyone yet to have their summer holiday there!

Second time with Villa Renters and again not let down. The Villa was lovely, quiet and secluded. On arrival we were met at the local garage and escorted to the villa after getting there despite the slightly dodgy directions - but that seems to be a Turkish trait! Maybe we were spoilt at out last villa as we were slightly disappointed with the food pack that we paid for in advance, but at least there was tea. The Village was smaller than expected but what was lost in size was made up for by the friendly locals. There are half a dozen places to eat and small supermarkets to supply your every need. I would highly recommend both the café and you must try the pizza shop! If its peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday youre looking for then this is it, but do make sure you hire a car. Thank you Turkey and Villa Renters for a wonderful holiday!
Owner reply:

A car isn't absolutely necessary as there is a local bus to take you into Fethiye, but this does of course depend on the kind of holiday you want. A lot of our guests don't bother with a hire car and are happy to stay in Uzumlu with the occasional trip further afield.Pleased you enjoyed your holiday.

We had fantastic holiday at Aysun Villa. The Uzumlu village is beautiful with very friendly locals. Quite and peaceful place, perfect for family and kids. Villa was lovely with everything you need. Very clean with spacious bedrooms. Youre not overlooked by any neighbours and pool was great for kids. Its around 45 min away from Oludeniz, and 30 min away from Fethiye town centre. there are minibuses everyhour to take you to Fethiye town centre and 5-10 min walk to Uzumlu village for shopping, restaurants etc. Special thanks to Aytan and especially Haldun who looked after us thoroughout our holiday. You feel in safe hands with them, anything we needed they provided to make our holiday very special. I would recommend Aysun villa to everyone and would definetely book it for our future holidays. Thanks again.
Owner reply:

Pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you revisit again. Uzumlu is a magical place to be.

We were collected at the airport and arrived late at the villa, hot, tired, hungry and in need of a coffee, it was all there! NO EXTRA CHARGE. A little welcome food parcel. Fantastic. The villa was amazing, clean tidy and everything you could possibly need, with a clean swimming pool in the back garden. A phone was left for us to use when we went out in case of an emergency, we could hire a taxi at reasonable costs, the driver was excellent. One of our party had to spend several nights in the hospital and this was made so much easier due to the help and support we received from the resort agency (the couple were very friendly and helpful, not your usual youngsters!). We had a fantastic holiday and would happily return to the same villa or use the same company to hire a villa in a different area. We were extremely impressed.

On arrival we were met by In-Resort who took us straight to the villa by private transfer. Everything was well organised and received a friendly welcome from Zeki. The villa was found to be spotless as was the pool and gardens. The welcome pack was much appreciated after the journey and all facilities in the house were in good working condition. We loved the "flowers" on the bed and the spacious rooms with views all around. Uzumlu village is just the place to get away from it all. The people are very friendly and welcoming. We found the Cadianda a great place for food and the staff were fun and efficient. Local transport is also very good and the dolmus stops 2 minutes walk from the villa and goes to Fethiye which is beautiful espcially the boat trip. From Fethiye it is very easy to travel further afield which we did on several occasions. We visited one or two markets which was worthwhile especially the "designer" gear. All in all we had a wonderful time and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this lovely villa for a great holiday. We hope to return sometime in the future.

Fabulous spacious villa. Very comfortable and homely. Nice pool area and lots of inflatables for the children. Nice area really friendly people and spectacular views all around. Situated next to an authentic Turkish village very cheap and near enough to main (but very quiet) road to go to whever the mood took us. Loads to see and do. Resturants and cafes are excellent.

We have had a wonderful holiday in Turkey. The villa is immaculately clean, very well-equipped, and comfortable. Our two girls, (7 and 6), particularly loved the pool. We booked a transfer from the airport via the owner, and also booked a hire car to be delivered to the villa the following day which made the whole experience of arriving very easy. The service provided by the agency is great, from the groceries brought by Desiree on arrival, to the emergency Doctors phone service, which we unfortunately had to make use of. We loved everything about Turkey, the beautiful scenery, and the friendly locals, who were particularly great with the kids. We would love to come back soon.

Having being met at the airport and transferred to the villa by private transfer, travelling through beautiful countryside, we arrived at the villa relaxed and refreshed. We were met by the Management Company who showed us around the villa, explained how things worked and explained we could contact them on the mobile provided on the emergency number already in the phone if necessary. The car hire we ordered through the owner arrived at the villa 20 minutes after our arrival. This was an excellent start to our holiday with no waiting around. The weather was absolutely glorious for this time of year (March) and it enabled us to exlore the area. Villa Aysun is just like home from home and has been lovingly furnished by the owners who seem to have the guests' comforts and need foremost in their minds. One of the most comfortable and well equipped villas we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. The locals in Uzumlu are extremely helpful and friendly. We shall definitely be returning and have already recommended it to friends and family. From the time we booked right through to our return home we really felt that we were being looked after by the owners and the Management Agents. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to everyone for everything.

Absolutely fabulous holiday - location and villa are second to none and the services of the Management Team were excellent. We were well looked after from the moment we made the booking and right through the holiday. Have already booked again to return in 2008 and would highly recommend this villa.

Brill holiday. Loads to do such as jeep safarri which was really good fun, lots of places to eat out and really enjoyed the shopping in Fethiye and Hisaronu. Can't wait to go back. The villa was great, too - lots of space and the pool was terrific. Jenny

We had the most wonderful holiday - everything we could have wished for. Uzumlu is such an enchanting village with friendly people and outstanding views. The Management Team were extremely helpful and so easily contactable with the mobile phone provided in the villa. Villa Aysun is one the best equipped villas we have ever stayed in - real home from home.

Hi Jo The holiday was great, the villa was perfect and there were no problems at all. All the transfers and car hire arrangements went smoothly and apart from locking ourselves out one night (no spare keys?!) i cant fault it!! Thanks for your help and we hope to come back soon. Vincent.

We were very pleased with the accommodation. The villa was nicely decorated and very well equipped. The pool was great. We found it much easier to have our own pool and be able to watch the children as opposed to trying to keep track of your own children when there are lots of others in the pool. The views of the mountains from the villa are beautiful. The area was very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would certainly recommend it. We were well looked after when we were in Turkey by the In Resort team. Thankyou for a great holiday.

The most relaxing holiday ever in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The owners have thought of everything and it was home from home with the added advantage of a private swimming pool, balconies with glorious views and lots of sunshine!! Uzumlu is a quaint little village which is totally unspoilt by tourism and is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday, yet within easy reach of towns, nightlife and beaches, all being only 20 minutes drive away. From the moment we made the booking we were well looked after by the owners and their agents in Turkey. Many thanks from all the family - we'll be back

We only had minor problems, one was the toaster (low power?) could have been bigger, one was the barbecue (no draught?) and having 5 women in the party, the lack of a full lenghth mirror was a problem. But this is only detail, the area and the people and the local restaurants were excellent. The pool was good and the facilities offered in the villa were first class especially the air con, although no air con in the lounge was a problem for someone sleeping downstairs.
Owner reply:

Thank you for your constructive comments. We always welcome people's views so we can try to put things right. Since your stay we have put a full length mirror in the hall and we have sorted the BBQ.

Brilliant from start to finish. Location and villa exactly as described and we would recommend this villa as its one of the best we have stayed in. Owners and agents very caring, will go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. We booked this villa purely based on the reviews of others and we were not disappointed. We will DEFINITELY be booking again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this villa in August. As a party of 7, an extra bed was supplied, which we added to one of the bedrooms as the air conditioning was invaluable ! I agree with an earlier comment that a fan in the lounge downstairs would be appreciated as its extremely hot in the height of summer with very little air movement. The villa was lovely. Nicely decorated and clean and comfortable. It was a great treat too to have sufficient poolside loungers and parasols. Not many properties think these things through ! Aysun and Zeki were very helpful and sorted any small problems out immediately, even delivering additional delicious olive oil - thank you ! The village of Uzumlu is lovely and the surrounding countryside is stunning. It is however, quite remote and we would recommend car hire to get the most of a stay. We visited everything for miles, and would definitely recommend a trip to Saklikent as a challenging day out ! Also, its worth using a car to do a big shop in Fethiye as the availability of fresh produce in the village is limited. We would recommend a visit to Alanya Place restaurant in the village as Ali the owner is very friendly and we found the stray dogs to be a problem whilst we were eating at Cadianda restaurant. All in all, a great villa and a great base to stay whilst visiting this beautiful part of Turkey !
This propoerty is beautifully situated in the midst of an olive grove in a quiet location just outside the village of Uzumulu. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could need which was very welcome. The pool is not too deep - 1.4m which is excellent for children. Although it is in a quiet location it is adjacent to another villa - owned by an English couple. The upstairs air conditioning was very welcome - especially in the 40degree heat of August. We would have liked to see some air con or at least fans located in the downstairs rooms. There was alittle noise from next doors dog and cockerel which seems to crow continuosuly through the night, but you got used to it. The village is delightful but prices are beginning to get expensive. A car is definitely needed if you wish to avoid paying the over inflated prices of the nearest shop which happens to be located in a petrol station at the end of the lane. The local mini bus to Fethiye - the nearest large town is not very frequent - one an hour at best and although very cheap was extremely crowded. You have to take it though s the experience is very worthwhile! Taxis are very expensive and English tend to get ripped off. The villa was perfect though - and the region quite staggeringly beautiful. The call to prayer to the local mosques echoed surrealistically around the mountains nas was very relaxing. Local food was good and the village boasts a few good restauarants although in August chefs tended not to be present top menus can be limited.
Holiday and villa absolutely superb. We had so much fun.people extremely friendly.Turkey is stunning, the scenery, the people, the relaxed way of life, what more could you ask for. Many Thanks for a Magical fortnight. We have already booked for 08.See you soon.
This villa was brillantly set out, really big inside. The pool was plenty big and deep enough. The villa has beautiful views set in the mountains. The village of Uzumlu is a typical Turkish village, all the locals are very friendly. The service we recevied from In-Resort was fantastic, always there when you needed them, they also provide a mobile phone for your use. Would recommend the villa to anyone who is thinking of going to Turkey. Local bus stop just on main road. Brillant !
The property was spacious and well equipped and best of all, in a beautiful unspoilt setting. There was a good main road to Fetihye, and good facilities in the village for petrol, food shops and restaurants. Within easy travelling distance were a wide range of great places to visit. The in resort management was excellent.
Owner reply:

Thank you for your comments. We always have good feedback about our Management Agents. They are very professional and it puts us at ease to know that our guests are being well looked after.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. If you want to kick of your shoes, unwind under the stars with a glass of wine and sense of peace this is for you.Cannot recommend enough - quality was superb and everything was thought ofa fantastic retreat.Holly & Stuart
Owner reply:

Thank you, you have summed it up brilliantly.

Wow, what a place to unwind - it is like stepping back in time, yet only 20 minutes drive from Fethiye. Villa Aysun is furnished to a very high standard and equipped with everything you could wish for. We couldn't recommend it enough - we had a fantastic holiday and will be going back very soon. Thanks Jo - a great holiday
Owner reply:

Thanks Julie - we feel like that, too - life in the slow lane.

8 June - 24 JuneDear Jo I really enjoyed my holiday in Villa Aysun and Villa Katife. I had two wonderfully relaxing weeks in Villa Aysun with just birds and crickets for company. A tortoise wandered into the garden one day and the path to the village was blocked by some lazy goats on my last morning. The villa was not too isolated though and I was able to buy everything I needed in the village shops. I swam in the pool two or three times every day and it was kept very clean by your pool man. As requested he came in the early morning while I was asleep to do the cleaning.I was very happy at Villa Aysun. Your agents Nick and Aysun were at the villa on the first evening to welcome me and show me round the villa. They are a charming couple and did their utmost to make sure that my holiday went smoothly. They work so hard and they are on the go all the time helping holiday makers, booking taxis, arranging outings and all done with a smile. I thought they were lovely. When I moved to Villa Katife the holiday changed completely. It was much more energetic, as I was not on my own any more. We visited all the local bars and restaurants, swam in the sea and took taxis into Fethiye to spend money at the market. We took a boat trip to Rhodes and joined hundreds of holiday makers looking round that beautiful island. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a Turkish teacher anywhere, so my turkish had to be put on hold for a couple of weeks. I did revise in the villa in the evening though and learned some useful new vocabulary. Everyone in Uzumlu wanted to practise their English on me and wouldn't let me demonstrate my Turkish. Overall the holiday was a great success and I hope to be able to return in the future. With best wishes Josie
25 June - 9 July 2009Hi Jo,We loved the villa, its gorgeous. Nick & Aysun were great but our favourite had to be the pool guy! Bless him!! The locals were fabulous and treated the kids whenever they saw them! It was an effort to get Harry to climb up the mountain path to the village at times though....Lazy monkey!!! We adopted a few wild tortoise and the kids had a fab time in the pool, Tia learnt to swim properly and after the initial screaming match was fab!! Also, Thank you for the Disney Channel.......a god send for the grumpy children.....All in all we had a lovely time.....Thank you!!!!!KirstyTamworth

The villa was booked for myself, my sister and her friend. Lovely and peaceful location. A visit to the Cadianda Restaurant is an absolute must, fabulous food and incredibly cheap.Would recommed this to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday away from it all. Management company were excellent and extremely helpful. The only problem we had was that on arrival there was no lavatory paper anywhere!! Overall villa fab!
What a fantastic holiday we had - the villa was perfect (beautifully furnished and very well equipped). The surroundings are magnificent and the locals very friendly. We enjoyed many meals in the local restaurants, and had the occasional night out in Hisaronu,Fethiye and Calis. For this we used the management company's own taxi service - cheap and extremely reliable. Other evenings we had BBQs and relaxed on the terrace by the villas own pool, listening to music just soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the surrounding views. From the moment we booked the holiday up until our return we were well looked after. The owners and the management team were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Over the years we have stayed in many villas in many different countries, but this one really was something special and for the first time ever we will be making a return visit. Many thanks.
