Villa Adorran - In The Heart Of The Wonderful Fethiye Region
Set back some 12km from the coast, the lovely village of Uzumlu gives visitors a taste of old Turkey whilst being within easy reach of everything this wonderful stretch of coastline has to offer. There are several shops within the village itself, along with numerous places to sample fresh local cuisine and experience the exceptional warm welcome from the locals. A 15 minute car journey takes you into the hustle and bustle of Fethiye itself - a lovely town where you can find everything from traditional harbour markets to modern supermarkets, quaint old back street bars to lively nightlife. The world famous beach of Olu Deniz is only a short car journey away, probably Turkey's most photographed piece of coastline. Other attractions include Cadianda (a ruined Lycian city dating from the 5th century B.C), Kayakoy - a ruined Greek village and the stunning gorge at Saklikent. Further afield is the lovely beach at Patara and the pretty coastal towns of Kalkan and Kas – well worth a day trip to. Whether you like to get out and about, or whether you just want to relax by a beautiful pool enjoying the peace and quiet, Villa Adorran will not disappoint.
We would strongly recommend car hire during your stay - the villa is just over a mile outside the village of Uzumlu and is best reached by car. We can organise car hire for you at preferential rates, please confirm type of car required and we will forward prices. The access road to the villa is rough in places but the last section down to the villa is now fully paved making access and car parking easy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was lovely to have a resident cat "Cassy" (we called her!).
In-resort team were brilliant and the emergency phone idea was invaluable (it came in handy several times!!)
Lovely area, Turkish people are great (although a bit mad on the road!!), and the service is first-class.

Less than a week back from our 2 week stay at Villa Adorran and missing being there. The villa is in a beautiful location, away from all the hustle and bustle of main resorts, set amongst mountains with fantastic views. The villa is not overlooked and so many a happy time was spent just around the pool area. The transfer from airport was excellent and our hire car arrived at the villa just as we did and left when we did. A car is a must. The help from Nick and his family was invaluable with suggestions of where to go and what activities to do. The only time we had a problem with the villa was with the air conditioning and a call was made and it was recitifed that same day. The villa has everything for all your needs and we even had a visit from the tortoise that lives in the next garden. The pool was well looked after and we even had the cleaner come in to freshen the villa up after 1 week there. Nothing was too much trouble.
Had a fantastic day on a boat trip, just the 5 of us going round bays and jumping and diving off the boat. Visit to Saklikent and other places were good. Do try a Turkish Bath in Fetiyhe, we all enjoyed that. A must is the market at Fetiyhe - be ready for haggling. The village itself of Umzulu was charming and eating at Eddys Place, the Secret Garden and the Vine restaurants are ones to frequent.
Would recommend anyone to go there.

This is the second year running we have stayed at Villa Adorran which does not fail to disappoint. The villa is comfortable and well equipped with a good size pool surrounded by beautiful scenery, peace and tranquility. There is a good selec tion of value for money, friendly, family-run restaurants less than 5 minutes drive away in the village of Uzumlu. Villa Adorran is a great place to escape. The villa was excellent and beautifully finished. The information we received before arrival and from the in-resort team was also excellent. This was our first time in Turkey and it exceeded all our expectations. We loved the rural setting and the incredible views of the mountains from the terrace. The pool and pool terrace were lovely - and a great place to relax and cool off. There is plenty to do and see around the area. We have been on many villa holidays and this has been the best

Had a very enjoyable two weeks in Villa Adorran. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. The villa is spacious, comfortable and well equipped in a quiet area. Many hours were spent lounging by the pool. The In-Resort team were very helpful as were the owners. Would definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing holiday with the option of the livelier resort of Fethiye 30 mins away. Uzumlu village is a 2 minute drive offering a selec tion of good value restaurants/cafes and pizzeria in a quaint old Turkish village. Will definitely return to Villa Adorran.

The property itself is of a high standard and very tastefully decorated. The views are spectacular and locals very friendly. It is off the beaten track (literally) so you get a true sense of the Turkish way of life rather than a Brits Abroad tourist area.
Only bad points which I guess is due to the local supplies are the water was either freezing or boiling hot and I wouldnt like a child to be in the shower on their own, the electricity cuts were almost every day but nothing too drastic.
Overall though I would definitely recommend this villa, espcially for a group of friends or a family. It is a real chill-out place.
29/07/09 - we are getting the water checked and will ensure that this is rectified as soon as possible.

My husband and I stayed in the villa for a week in May 2009 and had a wonderful time. The propery was immaculate and tastefully decorated with everything you would need including plenty towels and comfy beds. The views were stunning and unspoilt and we particulary enjoyed having a choice of terraces to have a drink and watch the sunset! We have already recommended this villa to our parents who went and had a great time too. We are looking forward to returning and will take our 3 children next time age 6,9 and 12. They will love the pool and there are lots of places to visit and see nearby.
Although we didn't stay in this property (we stayed in one just a few hundred yards away) we were allowed to have look by the people who were renting.
The villa was beautifull, far nicer than the one we stayed in which was clean but not cared for and very basic although the pictures didn't show this.
Hopefully we will be able to go again either this year or next and we will definately put this as our first choice. The people who were staying there couldn't fault the service they received or the villa itself.
After seeing it inside ourselves we were really envious and disappointed that we hadn't chosen this one instead
'Wow!' was our first reaction to Villa Adorran. A beautiful villa set in the most beautiful location. Waking up each morning to those views was a delight. The house has all mod cons and is gorgeous & the swimming pool made it difficult to decide whether or not to venture to nearby Fethiye and Oledinez.
Oledinez is by far the nicest beach resort I have been to in a long while & the Turkish people are some of the friendliest about.
I highly recommend this villa & will definitely be returning!
