8 out of 8 people recommend staying here
Villa Eda is quiet, relaxing and extremely well-equipped. We mixed lazing by the pool with a couple of trips to the sights. Its 2.5 hours drive to Ephesus and less to Aphrodisias (early start recommended for Ephesus, to avoid the crowds). Nearby Akyaka has good fish restaurants, and has more Turkish tourists than British, which was a bonus in our eyes. The owner, Coskun, is within easy reach, and was very welcoming. Definitely recommended.
We had 2 weeks in this villa in October 2009
The villa was exactly what we were looking for - peaceful, private, accessible to town with all the facilities to eat in
The pool area is south facing so we had sun all day. The pool is a great size and the villa also was just right for a couple like us who like their space - its simply but well laid out
The villa was very well equipped and there was always plenty of hot water
Our hosts were brilliant - on hand but very discreet
We thought the villa fantastic and would go back
We stayed at Villa Eda in August 2009. We found the villa bright and airy and the rooms far bigger than they appear in the photos! The villa is very clean and simply but tastefully furnished. The veranda provides a lovely cool spot when it gets too hot by the pool. The location is quiet and secluded and the grounds of the villa planted with small trees and pretty flowering shrubs and climbers. The owners, Coskun and Ingrid epitomise genuine turkish hospitality, generous but modest and unobtrusive. We were presented with freshly home baked cookies shotly after our arrival (which went down a treat particularly with our two teenagers!) and we were touched to receive a parting gift on our departure. Although their home is just a short walk through the grounds, Villa Eda remains totally private. Given its seclusion car hire is essential. The pretty seaside village of Akyaka is only a 10 minute drive. It retains an authentic turkish charm, where the market stall holders are quite happy to let you browse without pestering you to buy! It also has a very good selec tion of restaurants and boat trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this villa and resort.
It was a wonderful palce to stay and very luxurious. It offered everything and more for a relaxed and comfortable holiday. It was great to stay in with a group of people and it was spacious enough to not get in each others way. Plenty to do within walking distance from the house including the beach. The taxi service recommended was very convenient and punctual. Thank you for making it a great holiday for all five of us.
