Watch the sun slowly disappear behind the islands at sunset. .
Sunset Terrace Villa is well located for days out exploring the local area and all it has to offer.
Plenty of shops provid holiday essentials as well as gifts and souvenirs. Saturdays is market day, the town fills up with villagers bringing either clothes for sale or fresh local produce that are a feast for the eyes and taste buds!
Many scuba diving companies allowing divers of all levels the opportunity to benefit from the crystal clear waters. Divers are pleasantly surprised to see a rich array of aquatic life and the remaining amphora and anchors from the ancient sea trade route.
Boat trips and yacht charters
Sunsail and a host of other yacht charter companies are based at the cosmopolitan marina. This is the perfect starting point for a bareboat sailing holiday exploring the Bodrum Peninsula and beyond.
Daily gulet trips to the surrounding islands and bays, and trips to the Greek Island of Kos and Kalimnos can be arranged here.
The marina was opened in 2003 and is well worth the visit. Even if you are not interested in boats or yachts there are plenty of things to do; a great range of shops, bars, restaurants and a lovely pool that is filled with fish to feed.
The valleys and hills surrounding th town offer beautiful natural surroundings for horse riding and pony trekking. One of the best places is Countryranch which has 27 well looked after horses. The horse riding at the ranch is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders; pony trekking for kids and Horse Safari tours for adults (3 routes)
Regular buses connect the resort with the nearby villages and Bodrum town. The Dolmuses run till about 5am in high season and out of season this varies. The Dolmus station is situated behind the Migros supermarket in the centre.
Many bars provid a lively nightlife. While the best night clubs can be found in Bodrum there are two night clubs in town.
Restaurants and Cafe's
There is a great range of restaurants and cafe's, from fast food , cafe's serving English breakfasts to brilliant fish restaurants and traditional Turkish food. For a romantic meal, there is a great range on the waterfront where you can watch the sunset.
The summer season begins in April and continues until the end of October with hot sunny days. Unlike other Turkish resorts, the climate here is mostly breezy and is renowned for its clean, cool air, offering welcome relief from the heat of the sun. Being so close to the sea the villa benefits from the cooling Imbat breeze which blows off the Aegean Sea. This means that the climate feels more comfortable compared to other Turkish resorts further south, even during the hottest months of July and August.
A very popular destination for holiday makers looking to escape the intense heat of the city centres.
This is a lovely villa with outstanding views over the water and watching the sunset each night from the top balcony was beautiful. The villa itself was excellent and met all our expectations, it was very clean and airy. The double bedroom is quite small but adequate, all the other rooms are as described. The owner was a very nice and helpful man if we needed anything i.e., fans for the children’s bedroom and double bedroom they were there by the end of the day. The main bedroom and lounge are the only rooms with air conditioning. It was a little further out of Turgutreis than we would have liked but as there is a Dolmus bus service within walking distance it really didn’t matter. We would certainly recommend this villa to our friends and would book it again if we were going back to Turgutreis.

Property owner met us at the airport to take us to the apartment.
He had bottled water & soft drinks plus water melon as a welcoming gift.
Property was beautiful & clean & accommodated our family of 5 extremely well.
Property owner was extremely obliging, even taking us to the Supermarket to do our grocery shopping. He kept in touch regularly to make sure everything was to our expectations.
We also had a lovely day out on his boat, with the family swimming & snorkeling around the islands.
Only downside was the very busy road traffic outside, that created some noise in 2 of the bedrooms. This could be rectified if airconditioning was supplied in these two rooms & the window could then be closed.
