Side Turkey is one of the Turkish Mediterraneans most attractive and popular resorts. Occupying a narrow peninsular on the sparkling Mediterranean coast, its history stretches back thousands of years. The resort is surrounded by stunning ruins, including the waterside Temple of Apollo and a well preserved Roman amphitheatre, which still hosts colourful performances.
Strolling down the pedestrianized main street brings you to a harbour filled with pleasure boats and overlooked by restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy a relaxed sunset drink. The town’s long sandy beaches are some of the best on the Turkish coast and have established the resort as one of the country’s top tourist destinations. Every kind of water sport is available- or you may prefer just to laze in the warm Mediterranean sun.
Side is at the centre of a beautiful and very diverse region where the Taurus Mountains descend to the Pamphylian Plain.
Nearby Aspendos has a fantastic Roman theatre, which hosts a dazzling annual festival of breathtaking opera, ballet and musical performances during the summer months.
The waterfalls on the jade green Manavgat River are another popular local attraction. Further into the pine-forested mountains, a Roman bridge spans a rushing river in the Koprulu Canyon National Park, which is one of Turkey’s premier white water rafting venues.
There are plenty of other activities within easy reach, including horse riding, golf and a theme park. Many tours are available to Aqua parks, stunning mountain gorges and waterfalls in Alanya and Manavgat, Jeep safaris and many more typical holiday activities.
For golfers, Belek is only 30 minutes drive from Side and has about 10 great golf courses, including one designed by Nick Faldo and the Gloria Golf Championship Golf Course which regularly hosts the European Seniors Golf Tournament.
The apartment was very nice, spacious, clean and had aircon in every rooms. We loved the apartment and it was very centrally located, close to the shops and restaurants. 10 min walk to the beach although the beach is mostly occupied by 5 star hotels and you need to pay for the sunbeds when you find a bar/cafe with allocated seating area.
My only complaint would be the pool management, whatever theyre using for swimming pool treatment was extremely high that we all had some side effects on face, also all our kids ended up having ear infection and some sort of allergy on their body (a reaction from chemicals in the pool) at the end and we had to take them to the hospital after holiday. We use various pools every year but this was extremely highly toxicated in my opinion. You cant open your eyes in the pool it burns so bad, never experienced that before. We have never ever had any issues with swimming pools before. They should really look into this for future bookings and make sure the treatment they use is moderate. Overall the apartment, the pool area, garden was very nice.

We had a wonderful family holiday in this lovely apartment, we particularly enjoyed the pool area and being so close to the beach and other amenities. The excellent communication with the owner and efficient comfortable transfers meant our holiday was relaxing and hassle free from start to finish.

The apartment was was off the beaten track a bit, although the beach was walkable and it was easy to get around on the dolmus . The grounds and the apartment could do with a bit of a tidy up. The paths needed weeding, there were lots of anthills and the brick pavers were uneven. Whilst we were there the trees and hedges were trimmed and they left quite a lot of debris on the ground around the pool, although this was cleared up within a couple of days.
The apartment itself needed some TLC, the 3rd bedroom was very small and the wardrobe door kept falling off its runners, the showers kept getting blocked and flooding the bathroom, there was a huge burn mark around the hob in the kitchen, and most of the blinds kept breaking. The air conditioning units were noisy and the one in the 2nd bedroom didnt work properly.
Having said all that, most of these things were trivial and we did enjoy our holiday, the pool and the the resort was great, if a bit spread out. It would be good idea if a more detailed map could be provided and/or directions to the things mentioned in the handbook, there is quite a few good suggestions but it is not easy to orientate yourself and work out where they are in relation to the apartment.

ust had a brilliant 2 weeks at the apartment with my husband, daughter, her partner and my 14 month old grandaughter. We booked on monday morning and arrived on the Friday evening of the same week! The whole booking process, transfer and communication with the owner and their representatives Graham and Pat was first class. The apartment had everything we needed and more. The pool was lovely and we had 4 sunbeds assigned to the apartment. Any requests we had during our stay were promply dealt with. We would definately go back to Side and the apartment again in the future.

The appartment was first class. The owners have put a lot of effort into making this appartment really special. Everything you need is provided, and with air con in all bedrooms and the lounge area it made our stay very comfortable.
The pool area is clean and tidy and the location is very quiet..
You are in walking distance of some nice reastraunts and Old Side town is about a 20-25 min walk although there are plenty of taxis and buses to catch on the main road .
I would like to thank Graham and his wife who manage the appartment for the owners who got the electrical problem sorted out within the hour and this was about 7-00pm.
This is a lovely appartment and we would definitlely look to go back there again.

We came back to this apartment for the second time, last year we stayed for two weeks but this year we rented the apartment for five weeks and a few days. As last year we had a wonderful time, the area is very quiet and it is very relaxing. We will probably go back if possible next year.
