7 out of 8 people recommend staying here
Having stayed here before we find the location ideal as its away from the main road, very quiet. We were lucky this year as no one was staying at any villa near us. Not that they really over look you anyway. It's a 10 minute walk in the heat of the day to the main road where you will find a variety of restaurants. This year we found a new restaurant that had opened mid season, the Begonvil Park run by Tony. Ok so it doesn't have all the fancy trimmings but it was one of the best and cheapest meals we had. you can also buy chicken off the spit to take back to the villa. Hisaronu is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the villa which we enjoyed doing. Alternatively you can take the dolmus from the main road or there is now a buzzer at the gate of the villa for a taxi. This is a good idea if there are 5 or 6 of you , slightly cheaper that way.
The villa like most we have been to in Turkey lacks some kitchenware but not enough to detract from your stay. On arrival you will be met and offered to have groceries delivered. Do this yourself its much cheaper and the shops like SOK and BIM (like a small lidl) are just on the main road and open till all hours, well BIM closes earlier. We arrived after midnight and could still buy groceries. You are left to yourself mostly, ask for the mobile number of the man that meets you. If you have any problems just text him he will sort out any problems you may have, although this year he found our Scottish accent difficult to understand. We had 1 slight problem on arrival, the owner had organised transfers but there was a mix up as he owns the property next door and the transfer man it turns out had the name of that villa on his board. Having taken taxi's to the villa because of this and finding ourselves out of pocket. We contacted the owner, on the website there is an 0845 number which I used but got no reply but luckily as we had been here last year I had the mobile number that had been provided then. This proved fruitful and after I explained to the owner what had happened he refunded our taxi fare to us. This was greatly appreciated as this was some of our holiday spending money.
Great villa loved everything about it
Good value for money. Staff available when required but stayed in the background as they appreciated that it was your holiday. Washing machine and dishwasher temperamental at times. Enjoyable relaxing villa in quietish locale. We had slight difficulty finding the villa directions would be better saying behind NEW Green Valley hotel.
This was a lovely villa, set away from the main street, which was fantastic, close enough to the local shops and restaurants, even a stones throw away from a taxi buzzer outside the new green valley hotel, which you can also use if you fancied for a beer or lunch etc. The villa had everything you could want for your stay, apart from a safe for your valuables. The staff were very polite and helpful at all times, and made the stay pleasurable as gave us tips on where to go, places to eat which they found great, and shopping areas , as we have been to turkey a few times but in bodrum, but not this part. During our first few days of our stay, we returned home from a lovely evening at Sandinos restaurant (Highly recommended, as they were lovely and the food fantastic, recommend their speciality of onion bajis, to die for!!!) to find that we had been burgled, and had all our iPods iPhones and cash etc. stolen. The maintenance guy had given us his number, so rang him to help with the local police, being the jandarma, who were good on the night, but ended up being a real bad lot making us feel like we were the villans rather than the victims. However we did not let this get us down and ruin our holiday, Adem the maintenance guy was great, and run me around when necessary on quite a few occasions to get things sorted, and put extra security in place so we felt more safe . PLEASE DONT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF, CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE YOU GO ON HOLIDAY, my only upset being that the owners who rent the villa out, did not even email, ring etc. just to see if things were ok, did not need an apology, as like I said can happen anywhere, but just common courtesy would have been to contact us and see how we are. Like I have said would recommend, as was a great holiday apart from that one night, but please dont hold it against the owner not to book, just my gripe as would liked them to have spoken to us, and would go back!!!!!!
really lovely villa in a very quiet location. 10-15mins walk to the main road where there are many really good bars and restaurants. There is a buzzer to call for a taxi a couple of mins walk away.
Villa has a lovely terrace and pool area with sunbeds and now parasols which were very welcome as it was very hot!
villa has everything you need for your holiday. need a torch for coming back in the evening as it is dark and there are no street lights.
Just a couple of gripes with the villa - the maintenance man who looked after everything and whose wife did the cleaning was difficult to get hold of and did not give
a contact number. Also just one clean and change of bedding and towels the entire time we were there and we were there for 3 weeks-very unimpressed!!
we kept the villa clean anyway so that was not really a problem but extremely unhappy about the bedding and towels especially as it was so hot. we ended up washing
them ourselves as there were no spare ones in the villa. When we queried this we were told it was correct just one bedding change for 3 weeks!! shame as this was a nice villa in and ideal location.
