Villa overview - owner's description

Peaceful village location, with stunning scenery. 5 bedrooms with ensuite, 6th bedroom with bunkbed. Air conditioned. Fitted kitchen, private pool and gardens with BBQ.

Situated on the Mediterranean coast with its many sandy beaches, beautiful scenery, secluded coves and fascinating ancient ruins the villa was completed on 1st June 2007.

The villa has been tastefully designed, is furnished to a very high standard and is unique in its own way giving that homely feel and has the added bonus of a private pool and air conditioning throughout.

The villa is located in Ovacik below Babadag mountain which benefits from a cool summer breeze and is also popular with paragliders. Ovacik is situated between the harbour town of Fethiye Hisaronu, a lively resort with an abundance of restaurants and bars and Olu Deniz, famous for its fabulous beach and much photographed lagoon.

Fethiye, Hisaronu and Olu Deniz are only a short dolmus ride away.

Ovacik is located 55km from Dalaman airport which is serviced by all the main tour operators and many others. Transfer time between Dalaman and Ovacik is approximately 45-50 minutes.

Accommodation is arranged over four floors.

On the lower ground floor there are three bedrooms, one double, one twin, each with their own ensuite, air conditioning, wardrobes, bedside cabinets, lamps and full length mirror. The double room also has a safe. 3rd bedroom has bunkbed for children and chest of drawers.

The ground floor comprises the lounge, kitchen and wc with wash basin. The lounge has an open fire, TV (please note the TV is for use with the DVD and Playstation, there are no TV channels), DVD player and Playstation 2 with a selection of DVDs and games, air conditioning and patio doors leading to the terrace overlooking the pool. The kitchen comprises a fridge, cooker with hob and hood, washing machine, dishwasher, sink and plenty of cupboard space. There is also an iron and ironing board.

On the first floor there are a further two bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with their own ensuite (jacuzzi bath and full length mirror in double) air conditioning and wardrobes. The twin room also has a safe. Both these rooms also benefit from having a large balcony.

The second floor (attic room) comprises a double bed, sofa bed, built in wardrobes, bedside cabinet with lamp, full length mirror, chest of drawers and a safe. This room also benefits from its own ensuite bathroom and private balcony.

All windows benefit from having mosquito nets.

Ovacik is located between Olu Deniz, Hisaronu and Fethiye. Ovacik is a village spread out in a beautiful valley just below Babadag mountain. It is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday and long country walks. The clean air and warm breezes add to the beautiful landscape overlooking the valley.

Fethiye is a region of indescribable beauty. There are many natural features that combine to give Fethiye such a special appeal. Fethiye provides the perfect base for exploring the beautiful nature and historic sites. Fethiye lies on a semicircular bay protected by twelve islands and has its own port and harbour.

Hisaronu is a charming hill resort and in recent years has become very popular with its many restaurants and bars making it a very family orientated resort. Its location makes it an ideal spot for walkers where you can visit the nearby deserted village of Kayakoy and take in some history from the ancient ruins. There are also secluded coves and bays which can be reached by winding forest paths.

This area is known as the turquoise coast due to its crystal clear waters and the tranquil waters of the blue lagoon. Olu Deniz is one of the most photographed beaches in Turkey and it is famous for paragliders from all over the world who parasend from the summit of Babadag mountain. Water sports and boat trips are very popular. There are also many shops, restaurants and bars to visit.

There are many beautiful places to explore in Turkey and many exciting excursions and activities that can be enjoyed by all ages. All of the excursions and activities can be arranged locally, and some of the most popular ones are:

The traditional Turkish markets in Hisaronu (Mondays) and Fethiye (Tuesdays).

Old Greek ruins.

Six and twelve island cruises from Fethiye harbour or Olu Deniz beach.

Water sports at Olu Deniz beach including water skiiing, rings and banana.

Dalyan and turtle beach.

The gorge at Saklikent and white water rafting.

The mud baths.

Jeep safaris and sunset cruises.

Horse riding, paragliding, microlights, scuba diving and many more.

Had a fabulous time at this villa. Dan was very helpful and we had no problem with our transfers. It is in a great location, only a 2 min walk from shops and local bars and restaurants. Villa was very spacious for our party of 9 (4 adults and 5 teenagers aged between 19 and15) and had everything that we were looking for. Lovely resort and you can catch the dolmus easily at the top of the street which takes you into Hisaronu for only 2 lire each. Hired a private boat for the day which cost £180, was great value. Aqua park is not far away and worth a visit at only £10 each (Stuart from Shiraz kindly organised this for us). Had a trip to the market in Fethiye but think the local shops are just as good value. Hisaronu is more lively and suited our teenagers but only a dolmus journey away. Definitely will be back in the future, hopefully 2016.

We all loved the week in we had in Turkey. Arriving late we were al starving and noticed Shiraz restaurant around the corner was open. The kitchen had closed but they managed to re-open and provided us with the lunchtime menu for all 10 of us and stayed open, looked after us. This ended up being our fall back eating house. We ate in some lovely restaurants, especially the owners recommendations. Generally better value and better food than the UK. 6 of us decided to jump tandem on the paragliders off Babadag Mountain 6,500ft. Have now ticked the box and would do it again. Had a day out to see the turtle hospital, mud bath and turtle beach. All were worth doing. Recommended good value holiday.

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at this villa. Smooth transfers to & from the airport, excellent location- close to local bars & restaurants and easy enough to get transport to take you into hissaronou or Olu Deniz. We were a group of 12 and the villa had plenty of space to accommodate, even had a spare room left! The pool was bigger than it looked in the photos. This was our first villa holiday & it certainly wont be our last.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, our particular favourite was within walking distance (if you turn right at the main road its about a 10min walk) called ALa Turke. Shiraz, the closest restaurant was also lovely & the staff friendly and helpful. He booked us our private boat trip which is a must in my opinion. We had a boat for the day with driver & cook for £160 between our group. We also hired a speedboat for the day, this was my favourite day & the kids loved it- especially eating from the pancake boat yummy!!!
All in all I would definitely recommend this villa, we have taken lots of memories with us that will stay with us.

Fantastic villa in great location. Owner really helpful. We hope to go back in 2014!

From Dudley, United Kingdom Jul 2013

Just returned from this property, fifth time visiting Turkey and third time to this area. The villa is ideally located just far enough outside of Hisaronu so you dont get all the hustle & bustle, yet close enough that you can take a stroll and enjoy the variety of bars, restaurants and shops. The villa itself is well positioned just off the main road through Ovaciek and has all the amenities anyone could wish for. We were a party of seven people, 4 adults and 3 kids ranging from 13 years to 16 years old. The property is well maintained and has all the facilities a family could wish for. The pool area is big enough to cool down and get a break from the searing summer sunshine, and the patio area is ideal for chilling in the shade and relaxing over a beer or two. The air conditioning to all the bedrooms and lounge area is also a god send.
We didnt have a bad meal throughout the 10 day period we stayed and there are numerous restaurants to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice.
Trip and excursions are numerous in choice and we can fully recommend the jeep safari, look out for the one named Karacay it was really well run, and the vehicles were top draw, the whole party had a fun filled day. The boat trip from nearby Fetihye was also excellent, with numerous choices of boats etc from the harbour side.
All in all an excellent holiday, with an excellent base to explore the area, I would certainly recommend this villa should you be looking for quality accommodation in an ideal location.

From Castleford, United Kingdom May 2012

We visited May 11th to 18th. There were six of us, three couples. The organisation and arrangements were superb. The taxi met us at the airport. Everything went smoothly. The fact that this was paid for in with the price of the villa was a massive plus, as when we have visited the area previously we have had to make our own arrangements.

We have stayed in this area a number of times, and this villa did not disappoint. The photographs do not do it justice. Five beautifully appointed bedrooms with five lovely and spacious bathrooms. All were nicely furnished and beautifully clean and well cared for.

The living space was the same, all the kitchen equipment worked and the instructions were clear. Outdoors, the pool area was well kept and Serdar came regularly to clean the pool and was very helpful when we needed anything.

The villa is in an ideal position, quite close to the road for the Dolmush but also fairly private. Taxis are also easy to find - in fact there is a buzzer on one of the lampposts on the main road to buzz for one. The only thing to mar the bliss was the local mosque waking us up at about 5 every morning, but it was easy to go back to sleep due to the copious amounts of alcohol we drank!! I think they must have had a new sound system installed since we were last in Ovacik!!

Im not sure that the living and outdoor areas could cope with 10 adults, but for two families it would be fine as the kids generally spend most of their time in the lovely pool.

There are loads of good restaurants in the area, but our favourite was the Yengec - its quite difficult to find but its well worth a visit although we couldnt get back in later on in the week so its worth booking when you first arrive.

Unfortunately for us the weather wasnt as good as we have experienced in previous years, but it didnt stop us from doing what we wanted. The first day was a bit cloudy so we went for a Turkish bath which was bliss (at the nearby Hisaroglu), and we went on a jeep safari (again) which is always enjoyable, and a boat trip down the Dalyan - we actually saw a Loggerhead Turtle which was one of the highlights of the holiday. My son and his girlfriend booked to paraglide but unfortunately couldnt because it was too cloudy. My other son and his girlfriend went on a quad safari which they thoroughly enjoyed. (we booked all our tours through Tiny Akropol as we have used him previously and he is very reliable). Also, all four visited the water park across the road which they enjoyed.

Dan was very helpful, as one of our sons girlfriends left some things in their room, and he arranged to get them sent back for her. Thank you Dan.

All in all, a lovely time was had by everyone, and the question they keep asking is when are we going again. We would love to return again this year, but most likely it will be next. We will definitely return to this villa.

Thank you so much Dan for the use of your lovely villa. The villa was clean, spacious and in a perfect location and helped make our holiday to Turkey that much better. In a lovely quiet part of Ovacik perfect for the kids. Only an hours drive from the airport and a really pleasant 20 minute walk into town. The villa had all the facilities a family could need too. Will definitely go back.

Wow - this villa is totally amazing. We stayed here for 2 weeks end of July/ beginning of August. There was 2 familys of 4 and there was plenty of room for us all. Ideal location as close enough to everything without being on top of it all. Must visit Jeneck restaurant, speak to the maintenance guy for detail.

Stayed at this villa for a long weekend in September. On arrival at Dalaman airport we were met by the transfer driver who took us direct to the villa and showed us in. The private villa pool/outside area was much larger than expected and was welcome in the 30degree heat. The villa itself was very large and as it is based over 3 floors gives a lot of privacy for larger groups. It was clean and tidy everywhere and there was even tea/milk and fresh bread waiting for us in the kitchen. The resort itself is small but has everything you want (restaurants/bars/shops) and there are buses that take you into the lively resort of Hisanarou and down to the local beach for less than 2 Lira. Had a great weekend all in all and will be back next year but will go for at least a week, maybe two. Five star villa
