The Turquoise Coast and Kalkan area
This is probably the easiest area of Turkey to get excited about. From Marmaris to Antalya the coastline is gorgeous, the weather is reliably excellent and there are lots of things to do and see. The Turquoise Coast at its finest has become the destination of first choice for many first time and repeat visitors to Turkey. Turquoise seas and pine-clad mountains make this one of the most dramatic coastlines in the world. Combine this with a lovely climate and friendly people and you have an unbeatable combination for the perfect holiday.

Kalkan – a small peaceful resort and fishing village with immense charm, has changed little over the years and offers a taste of traditional Turkish life. The narrow cobbled streets wind down through the village of whitewashed houses, shops, and restaurants until the small harbour is reached.
More sophisticated than the usual resort town, Kalkan appeals to travellers looking for more than a ‘sun and sea’ holiday.
The town itself is full of quality restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops selling hand-made goods. In the evening the local restaurants come alive, and the rooftop terraces provide a perfect setting from which to admire the beautiful scenery.
Kalkan by day is fun. The town centre of Kalkan becomes surprisingly empty during the day as guests set off for daytime activities. Popular activities include beach-going, relaxing at beach clubs or swimming pools, water sports, exploring the ancient lands around Kalkan, and boat and gulet trips. Dont forget to stop by Kalkans Thursday market for some great bargains.

Many places of natural beauty and historical interest - Lycian Way, Saklikent Gorge, Kekova sunken city, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, are all within easy reach. The delights of the Xanthos valley are 20 minutes away to the west, and include the 15km of sand at Patara as well as the Lycian ruins scattered between Tlos and the coast

How to get there
Charter flights are the cheapest way to Turkey flying into Dalaman airport. Flights are now available from almost every UK airport, taking approx 4 hours. Transfer tome from Dalaman to apartment is 11/2 hours.
Flights via Istanbul are another option for those wishing to explore this city before transfering to Dalaman.
Flights to Antalya are another alternative, however the transfer time is 3 hours.

We can arrange the transfers for you to/from the airport. It is not necessary to hire a car for your whole stay as local buses and taxis are plentiful.

The appartment was very well presented and fully met the description. Prior to leaving we received excellent information from the owner about Kalkan, the surrounding area and the many things to see and do.
It has to be said that Kalkan is not somewhere to go if you are not reasonably fit as it is steep in places. The approach to the appartment is particularly steep for the last 100 meters. However, taxis are inexpensive so there is no need to become too worried about this aspect.
The pool and the whole complex are very well maintained and there is a 24 hour presence which ensures that peace prevails and one can enjoy a quite relaxing holiday.
Throughly recommend this appartment and the area to any visitor. Go and enjoy a relaxing time.

We had a wonderful holiday at Olive Grove. The owners couldn't have been more helpful when it came to organising travel, transfers, car hire etc and provided a really comprehensive handbook on the apartment, the resort and surrounding areas. The apartment itself is just beautiful. Very clean, very well equipped and very homely with lots of Turkish furnishings. There's a large balcony with plenty of space for dining, relaxing and drying off your beach stuff. The views across Kalkan and Kalamar bays are stunning - you can't help but sit on the balcony and just admire the view. There's an extendable awning which means you can have some shade when it gets too hot. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and the kids had great fun in it. It was never overcrowded and you have allocated sunbeds and umbrellas so there's always plenty of space. The pool area was clean and very well maintained. This was our second holiday in Kalkan and we were so pleased to be back. The shops, restaurants and beach parks were great - everyone so helpful and friendly. We hired a car which allowed us to explore the area and get some respite from the heat in the mountains. The owners provided lots of recommendations about where to go and what to eat. We'll definitely be coming back

We had a great stay. Enjoyed the large pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. The owners have thoughtfully provided pool towels, water cooler and a fully equipped kitchen. There were great views from all rooms and we enjoyed sitting on the comfortable balcony for breakfast and early evening. Highly recommend this apartment and Kalkan.

This was our second stay in this delightful apartment, we thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous complex and stunning views. The apartment is modern and stylishly appointed throughout and the owners, Christine and Ian, have literally thought of everything - it is extremely well equipped. We followed their restaurant recommendations and found them all to be spot on. The complex is very well attended to, the pool is glorious and the frequency of the cleaning staff is a real bonus. All genuinely helpful. It is truly a gem

30/8/10 - 13/9/10 Our fifth visit to Saneil - we cant kick the habit. Beautiful apartment. We enjoyed our stay in Kalkan so much boat trip on Yildiz 2 with Osman. Canoeing on the Xanthos river was great fun. Restaurants: we liked Chillies, Cafe Vita, Isos, and Korsan kebab to name a few. For a Turkish bath try La Sera. It is very close to the apartment and was good. Having a car gave us great opportunities to picnic and explore in the mountains and of course for quick trips to the free beach at Kalamar. Mr I. Blundell West Midlands October 2006. Hi Ian just a line to say what a great time we had in Kalkan, the apartment was fantastic, the car hire was so easy thanks to you. I am sure we will return and we will be contacting you, many thanks for all your help.Mr. G. Buist Ealing June 2007. Yes it was extremely hot for the first part of the week. However the apartment was lovely and Kalkan is a beautiful town and we certainly took advantage of the nice restaurants that it had to offer. I will certainly look for ward to coming back.Mrs C. Gill Croydon August 2007. Well we had a fabulous holiday as presumed. The apartment was super and afforded lots of pleasant respite from the very hot sun. Your arrangements worked out perfectly - the Enes team were extremely professional and reliable. Kalkan is indeed a lovely town. I have already decided to re-visit with my husband, but maybe not in August! We took in numerous sights and a boat trip as well as days out on Patara beach. All in all, a perfect holiday. Thank you so much. Mrs Jane Bailey August 2007 Thank you for a wonderful holiday! We loved the apartment and found it very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The CD and book collection kept us going as well! Kalkan of course was delightful and all of us enjoyed the luxury and comfort of the beach clubs. The whole holiday went without a hitch and our journeys to and from Turkey were utterly painless. I will recommend both the apartment and the area to our friends and hope one day to return.
