This is our second visit to villa Kehribar. we love it, particularly the finer detail of design and décor. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. We visited in April and although we had good weather during the day the nights were very cold and so we took advantage of staying in and watching one of the many DVD's on offer at the villa. We tended to eat out during the day or occasionally at night at a restaurant with indoor facilities. The pool is very attractive, but, in April the water is far too cold to go in. This year the beach was not open in April and so we were grateful to the chance of sunbathing by an attractive pool. A car is not needed as the town( about 1 1/2 miles away can be easily accessed by walking, or dolmus or bike. We will return again

Fabulous villa, fully living up to our expectations. It was as described. The furniture is of a very high quality and is all complimented by the elegant soft furnishings, antiques and accessories. Some of the photos do not do it justice, it is furnished from the owners personal perspective and not purely for rental purposes when they can be very Spartan. It is very well equipped, the kitchen particularly so. We stayed in Arpil / May and had mixed weather, though this in no way adversely affected our stay at the villa. There was ample to do inside when we were forced to stay in due to inclement weather. You do not need a car as the town is very easily accessible by both Dolmus or bike. We did however rent a car for 5 days at a rate of £15 per day all in with full insurance ( the car was delivered to the villa at no charge) maxim car rental dalaman We will definitely return

Beautyful outstanding villa!,
amaizing mountain scenery (especially from the balcony). we went around this time may last year and had a great time. we had plenty of sunshine in the 20s. The boys 12 and 8 we couldnt keep out of the pool. the bikes were a bonus and made our evening walks more fun for the boys. There was a restaurant just a few minuites walk away they did lovely food.
The town is not far about 10 mins best to catch the bus from the main road its cheaper. The hospitality is amaizing everyone we came acorss was more than happy to direct us. We got our veg from the farmer on the opposite side lovely people. The only down side for us was the pool did not have a shallow end for our 2 year old to enjoy as our feet didnt touch the floor it was hard to hold him up even with his swim jacket. as our 2 year old is quite active we had to keep a close eye on him every time we were around the pool. The house had all the facilites we needed. we enjoyed our meals in the garden. Would definatly go back again.
dont forget the sun hat and after sun cream especialy if you have a bold head!
thank you for letting us hire your villa.

Villa Kehribar is a beautiful villa outside Dalyan. It is spacious and well kept with a lovely pool & beautiful gardens with many shady spots for quiet reading and to relax. It was wonderful to have our morning cuppa out on the roof terrace with nothing but the sound of birds, grasshoppers, a cockerel & a cow every now & then. Beautiful dragonflies hover regularly by the pool. The Gunluk picnic restaraunt 5 minutes down the lane serves great food, we enjoyed several steak & fish dinners there & they even sorted take-away pizzas for hubby & I to take back to the villa for our weary teenagers! The downside is that when we arrived we had 52 degrees and it remained in the forties for first week, this was not the problem but the 15-20 min walk to Dalyan took a good 30-35 mins in such intense heat. We had 3 fit teenagers with us so it wasnt that we were walking slowly but in the heat of the day, the walk is pretty tricky. We did find details of the local taxi service (English speaking) see the info book in the villa. He charged 20 Lira each way but as most nights wed eat in Dalyan & then go to Migros supermarket to stock up on groceries,(the taxi co. is right next door) so the guy would help us load the provisions into the car and then take us home. The rep from Oruc (Dormus) was wonderful & so helpful. We have rented villas serviced by Oruc before wo we knew we were in good hands. We organised lots of trips: jeep safari (our 3rd one in Turkey), Turkish baths, 2 boat trips (& we hired the boat just for the 5 of us), Tlos and Salkikient Gorge and although we have done them before, they didnt disappoint. We have such wonderful memories of Turkey once again. We ate out in the Caretta Caretta right at the end of the town, overlooking the tombs which are lit at night. Food as excellent there as it was 5 yrs ago. We also ate in the Secret Garden, and several other lovely places along the river. We booked a shuttle (free) to Ley Ley & enjoyed another great night there. Dalyan does seem a little busier and more touristy in the twon centre but if you are away from the hustle & bustle, youll see the real side of this wonderful country. A highlight of our trip was to catch the Farmers tractor at 9am on Saturday down the lane to the town & the market and it brought us back via little farm holdings at midday. A real treat & free!! Market still full of bargain genuine fakes & you can haggle to your hearts content. Dont just buy the fake stuff, bring home the Turkish coffee, tea, delight and the wonderful embroidered cloths and linens to have as a keepsake or share with friends and family.
There were 5 of us staying so we didnt use the bicycles in villa as it would have been unfair on the person left walking but also only 2 bikes had locks. The Rep told us it would be safe to take bikes & leave in town as "Turkish people too lazy to steal bikes" but we didnt want to take the risk. Would be good to have had a 5th bike & locks for all. Washing machine great but be warned, even the fast cycle is pretty slow, just like Turkish way of life. It wasnt a problem but allow plenty of time for washing! Villa was cleaned after first week. All good. Hubby & I would like to return to this villa again but our 17 yr olds would want somewhere a bit closer to town. Still, a great place peaceful, tranquil and just lovely. Thank you Yvonne & Stephen for a great holiday.

We have just returned from this villa, with our two children aged 11 & 13 and would definitely return.
The villa is spacious and clean with comfortable beds and everything you need provided. Everyone enjoyed the pool which is maintained daily and I took full of advantage of all the quiet shady areas of the garden to read. The garden is completely private.
The villa is situated a little out of town, which we liked as it was so quiet. You can catch the Dolmus at the main road which is about a 7 minute walk when its hot. Where the Dolmus terminates is where you pick up the Dolmus for the wonderful Itzuzu beach, its so easy!
There is also a very nice Restaurant and a little shop at the main road.
We used the recommended transfer company Oruc who were very efficient. You can book excursions through this company too. I would recommend the classic Dalyan boat trip.
This Villa is great........Book it!

It is our last night in your lovely villa and we wanted to quickly take a moment to tell you what a wonderful time we have had here. Our first time in Turkey and we think the people here are the nicest we have met anywhere in the world! We love the location of the villa, all the luxury of a modern villa right next to real rural turkey. Our daughter has loved the chickens, cat, dogs, turtles, lizards! Our friends who came earlier also loved it here. We have stayed in lots of villas before, but yours feels special as it has a very homely feel and so many luxuries (such as the bath robes!)
We would be very interested in returning to your villa, and are going to check our account as soon as we get home to see how much money we might have to book up for next year (if thats ok with you). We were thinking of may/june time.
6 week stay through March and April 2011
I came with my daughter, her partner and my grand-daughter. I enjoyed my stay so much that I can't wait to come again. The villa is beautiful and the staff from Oruc were very friendly and helpful. It was my first visit to Turkey and I hope that it won't be my last! Thank you very much for making this a wonderful holiday for me and my family.
