Comfortable apartment in a friendly but slightly shabby neighbourhood near to Large Pebble Beach. The beach is 5 minutes' walk away and has lots of bars and restaurants. No shop in the neighbourhood, but the baker's van comes every morning at 9am with fresh bread. It's a 20 minute walk into Kaş. In summer there is an hourly dolmuş service, reducing to every two hours from October, so you don't need a car. Large shared garden with barbecue and pool. Highly recommended.

Accuracy of advert Pretty much spot on. I would potenitally include in future that it is on sokak 1518, as we gave the transfer driver the details provided and he was still driving round lost an hour later. As this was 2 am and we had two tired children it wasn't the best possible situation. Luckily we were able to get hold of Toni the owner and she gave a more detailed description. The header says Manavgat, it isn't in Manavgat as that is a much larger town abot 10-15 minutes drive away, the bulk of the text includes the correct area which is Kemer (a suburb/region of Side). Though in the main in very good condition there were a couple of niggles that the maintenance/management team should have attended to before our arrival. Several bulbs were out in the apartment which they should have picked up on and changed in prep. The mosquito net in the master bedroom was in a poor state of repair and there was a clip on the same balcony door that needed securing. The towel rail in the bathroom wasn't secured to the wall and as such was unuseable. One of the lightshades in the smaller bedroom had been damaged leaving broken splinters of glass on the floor and shorp edges on the lamp (on the bedside cabinet). It really needs a rubbish bin in the kitchen as well as a breadknife and a bottle opener. It was also missing an airer so to be able to take advantage of the washing machine we had to buy a washine line from Carre Four and zig zag accross the balcony. The gardens were well maintained/watered every couple of days. The pool as far as we could see was one of the larger ones in the area, it was attended every day by someone checking the filter. A small section was cordoned off and had a much higher floor to serve as a children's pool. This was rendered unusable just before we left by a rather large and bizarre German woman from the top apartment swinging off and snapping the railings though this should have been fixed by now. As far as loungers went we started with four plus two parasols and bases and a poolside table, all clearly marked with the apartment number. By the end we were down to two loungers the table and one parasol (only because we hid them in the apartment) due to the same German woman claiming all the furniture was hers and proceeding to hide it. I really do hope she gets the help she so clearly needs. Area As stated before, it is in Kemer, this is a five minute dolmus ride from Ancient Side. Within easy walking distance in Kemer is Koreli restaurant (highly recommend this place, an extensive and well cooked Turkish menu, a good childrens menu and a couple of more European meals, the Chateau Briand in particular was wonderful. Be sure to ask also for the wine list as it isn't initially forthcoming but there are several pleasant reasonably priced Turkish wines on there) The prices, as this was not in the main tourist area were more than reasonable, there was never any pressure to come in and it was always a relaxed atmosphere.. The other restaurants close by were a grill (limited to mainly grilled meat dishes, a fast food bar and several Anglicized pub restaurants. I'm sorry but if we got to Turkey we want Turkish food not egg and chips and the premier league at high volume. Nearly every street corner has a "supermarket" (a corner shop for most staples, there is a larger Carre Four ten minutes walk away and a Migros Jet over the road from that (basically a Turkish Tesco Express). As we drive whenever we go to Turkey we preferred to use the much bigger Migros regular about 10 minutes drive away. For trips there is one travel agent in Kemer, down by the Migros Jet, the rest are in the harbour area but the prices all tend to be the same wherever you book so we used the local one as he included transfers. 10-15 minutes drive away is Manavgat, worth a look at the bazaar on Monday and Thursday the not much variety, Pretty much five different type of stalls repeated ad infinitum. Also in Manavgat is the large waterfall, there is a small entrance fee but once inside there is a plethora of stalls (tourist shops, food stalls, ice cream stands) and a reasonably priced restaurant overlooking the river. 5 minutes dolmus ride away is ancient SIde, I would recommend the dolmus as opposed to driving though as the car parks are manic to get in and out of. Here you have the old ruins, most of which are free to go round (except the museum and theatre). The main shopping are is very scenic (enhanced by ancient streets and mosaics encased below toughened glass. ) however it is very expensive (prices quoted in Euros rather than Lira making it look cheaper) and you are harassed at every corner to visit their particular shop. Down by the harbour/sea front is the main restaurant area, gain priced in Euros and 50 percent higher than Koreli (being curious I priced up the meal we'd had at Koreli the previous night (just over 300 lira for the four of us) with a restaurant by the sea wall (490 lira). The beach here is long sandy and beautiful. Water parks, a must with two children, several to choose from but after researching settled on the one in Antalya. We weren't disappointed, very clean, well priced and a good ratio of life guards to customers. Once you pay your money the restaurants have a good range and aren't over priced (as happens in a lot of water parks with captive audiences) lockers are free and though not massive (compared to Greek ones or Adaland further north) it had a good variety well maintained. You will probably have to pay extra for the rubber rings needed for a lot of the rides as they are in short supply (25 lira for the day) andf the zip line isn't included (30 lira a ride). However there are no shortage of loungers all around the park Further afield (and a car is a must) are the archaeological sites (a must as we are both history buffs) Aspendos and Perge need a day dedicating to each rather than trying to cram them both together. A fair way to walk round but worth it, just remember to take loads of water. The other direction is Alanya, probably just under an hour away. A large fort percehd on the hill, a famous cave underground though very hot and humid, another beatiful beach and a shopping district. Communication with owner Though not based locally ( i believe she was possibly in Northern Cyprus part of the time we were there) Toni was very helpful and very easy to contact via whatsap. Useful considering the probles we had topwards the back end with the German lady. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the locally based management team whe were conspicuous by their abscence. the ywere supposed to drop a couple of things off for us but failed Overall We tend to book our holidays to Turkey as component parts individually. I researched the are fully as well as the apartment and a good holiday was had by all. A couple of niggles (mentioned above) didn't detract drastically from the overall experience Cleanliness The apartment had obviously been cleaned before we arrived though the broken glass should have been taken care of, especially as it was in a children's room Check in and out We had transfers booked to and from the apartment. Once we found it the keys had been left securely for us as promised (due to arrival time) we booked an extra day so we had somewhere to base ourselves from (return flight midnight) and left the keys in the same secure place. Value for money W paid what we expected to pay, the going rate for Turkey in AUgust (school holiday month.) I believe we got value for money based on the size of the apartment and facilities available. One thing for future, a dishwasher would be a big boon as we did miss this from previous apartments we have been to. Facilities Exaclty as it said in the advert. Though a couple of minor niggles and TLC needed ( as listed above), but other than that we had everything we needed for the holiday

Always had great communication with the owner before, during and after my stay. The apartment was in a lovely area, close to beach, old town and bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The pool and garden area were kept immaculate by the management team and any problems or faults were rectified immediately. Even though it was high season the majority of the time the other 3 apartments were not in use so had exclusive use of pool and terrace. Already looking to make reservation again for next year.

Enjoyable stay, great apartment, location good, value for money. Some suggestions for improvement- outdoor furniture needs replacing as some broken, electric cables in downstairs wardrobe need attention, information folder needs updating. Any issues we had were resolved by Zara - thankyou very much.
