Villa to rent in Kaya Village, Turkey
Villa overview - owner's description
A lovely traditional stone and timber built two bedroom family Cottage/Villa with fabulous views from the large private pool area of the abandoned Greek Village, surrounded by flowers and gardens.
This lovely locally owned stone built house has a covered shady verandah area surrounded by gardens and with panoramic views of historic ruins, plan clad hills and mountains beyond.
The pool is a large size and well maintained with a large Turkish cushioned seating area at one end under the trees, very romantic!
There is a large open plan kitchen dining and living area, with good facilities and a bathroom shared by the two bedrooms.
It is an excellent family property also suitable for couples.
There is a great restaurant just 5 minutes stroll across the field, a market for supplies a bit further on and the main road of the Village which is serviced by a local minibus the 'dolmus' going to Fethiye town, all resorts and beaches and tourist sites so car hire is not essential.
The area has everything to please all types of holidaymakers. Sun, sea, walking, forests, historic sites, crafts, culture and great food and fresh produce.
Kaya Village is located just 8km from the harbour Town of Fethiye in Southwest Turkey where the Mediterranean and Agean Oceans meet. The beautiful coastline is referred to as 'The Turquoise Coast' .The iconic Oludeniz beach is 10km drive. The quieter Gemiler Beach bay is just 5km away and both are accessible by local bus. The Lycian/Roman fortress ruins of Tlos and the stunning Saklikent Gorge are within 1 hours drive from Fethiye and are worth a visit as well as other historical sites, beaches, beauty spots and museums.
Kaya is 1 hour drive from Dalaman Airport and 3-4hrs from Antalya airport.
Kaya Village has a wonderful selection of Restaurants ranging from upmarket Wine Houses to small family run locals where Turkish Village cuisine can be sampled. The Village itself is in the Kaya Valley, a flat area surrounded by mountains, natural pine forest and unspoilt beaches. Nearby Fethiye town has a big open Market day, an old bazaar type shopping area, marina and even a Roman theatre!

This was our second visit to this beautiful peaceful well-appointed traditional villa (and we will be back!).We would highly recommend it to anyone. The location is fantastic in that it benefits from being quiet and rural with a lovely large pool set in lovely gardens, but is within really easy walking distance to very good restaurants in Kaya itself, or to just hop on the local dolmus buses to either Hisaronu, Fetiye or Gemiler beach. The owner Cetin and his family are lovely and extremely kind and helpful.
A wonderful relaxing break!
What a find this Villa is. In a quite corner of a great local village. Pure peace and quite. The grounds are amazing with plenty of room to play.
The swimming pool is perfect size with lots of room to relax next to it.
The pool is cleaned daily by the owner. Who is one of the most nicest people you could meet. Could not do enough for us, even pick the vegetables fresh for my son to eat
The villa itself if lovely and clean. Perfect size rooms. All finished to a very high traditional standard
The beds were so comfy
Had a great holiday
We loved our stay at Ozlem Evi.The villa was clean and well equipped and a short walk to the local restaurants. The pool was a good size and cleaned every day which allowed us to spend many hours lazing by the pool enjoying the peace and quiet of the surrounding area.We saw the owner every day when he came to tend the lovely garden and it was a real pleasure to meet him and his family. We would certainly consider staying at this villa again and if you like the idea of a stay away from the hustle and bustle then this villa will suit.

Returned home last week totally refreshed after our 2nd visit to Ozlem Evi and we certainly hope it won't be our last. Early morning is so peaceful, lazing in the kosk listening to the birds is heaven. Foghorn and his harem of Henrietta and Leia were new additions since our last visit, and kept us entertained as well as fed - we feel we are now true aficianados of hen life - and Goaty Mcgoatface in the neighbouring field was a great recycler for left over vegetables and tea bags. Village life goes on at such a slow pace, but the frequent dolmus service allowed us to get out and about without the need for car hire if we fancied anything a bit more lively. There are many enjoyable short walks around the valley, but the trek through the ruins to Oludeniz is well worth it for the more experienced walker, although please don't try it without suitable footwear as the last leg down into Oludeniz is loose scree and a bit hazardous. The village bakery has changed hands since our last visit and now produces a variety of different breads, all freshly baked, delicious and so cheap. We loved our daily shop at the bakery and greengrocer's stall, staggering back to the villa weighed down with bags full of fresh produce for less than the cost of a mass produced loaf in England. Tourism to Turkey is down but please don't be put off by the goings on in other parts of the country, the people in this region were as friendly and helpful as ever. Thanks to Cetin and his family for their hospitality, we wish you all the very best and hope to see you again next year.
Best villa we ever stayed in. The villa was comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden was stunning, we were allowed to help ourselves to the growing fruit and vegetables and had fresh eggs from the chickens that roamed the place. The pool was a great size too and of course the view of the ghost town was amazing! The villa was in the perfect location, so quiet but great restaurants within walking distance. Chetin and his family were so generous to us. We could not have asked for anything more! Cannot recommend highly enough, we will be back!!!
