Apartment overview - owner's description
Spacious apartment with stunning views over the sea and the pittoresque harbour town of Kas.
Seaview apartment “Kas Residence” has an elevated location above Kas town providing stunning views of the town, harbour and over to the Greek island of Meis. Imagine watching the sun go down while sipping on a glass of wine on your balcony. Far enough from the bustle of the bars in Kas centre to secure a good night sleep, close enough to be in the middle of it when you want to. There are a plethora of bars, shops and restaurants in Kas centre a 15-minute stroll down the steep road. The beach can also be reached easily this way. Back up you just use the regular Dolmus (minibus) stopping only a 5 minutes’ walk from the apartment or a taxi is about £3.
Seaview Apartment Panorama sleeps 5 persons in one double, one twin and a single bedroom. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the other two bedrooms share the bathroom. There is a third bathroom on the first floor.
The apartment is air-conditioned, has a spacious living area and a fully equipped open plan kitchen for self-catering with a washing machine, dishwasher and a microwave/oven. There is satellite TV, DVD player, a stereo CD player and internet for your entertainment.
The infinity pool is 10m by 4,5m and the large sun terrace are shared with the other apartments in the residence. Each apartment has it's own sun loungers and parasols.
The picturesque harbour town Kas (Antiphellos in the Greek era) is renowned for its natural charm on the Turkey Rivera. It has an attractive harbour front along which there are several tea gardens, cafes and restaurants.
Leading away from the harbour is a warren of winding cobbled streets with colourful shops filled with carpets, ceramics, arts and crafts.
Kas has a true cosmopolitan feel as there is a wide variety of nationality of tourist with Turkish making up approximately 60%. This ensures that Kas retains the essence of a traditional small Turkish town. There is no mass market tourism so most visitors are independent travellers. There are several supermarkets in Kas for grocery supplies, a good fruit & veg shop stocked with local seasonal produce, several bakeries and fishmongers. There is a vibrant and busy market every Friday. There are several historical areas in Kas with Lycian tombs scattered throughout town and the ancient amphitheatre.
Kas does not have a sandy beach, but it does have a few pebble beaches and several sun terraces right on the waterfront with sun loungers and facilities. The fabulous sandy beaches of Kaputas (15 km) and Patara (35 km) are easy to get to by minibus and/or boat. Similarly, a fifteen-minute boat trip will take you to Limanagzi - a beautiful beach with a very relaxed atmosphere on the opposite side of the bay. On the peninsula, there are also a couple of beaches with full beach facilities.
Kas is centrally situated in relation to many interesting antiquities and areas of natural beauty, which makes it an ideal base camp for day trips and excursions. The most popular day trips and excursions are; going on a boat trip to the ancient Lycian city of Kekova, the remains of which are mostly submerged. You can go swimming and snorkelling during the trip. Lunch is usually included and is consumed in one of the little restaurants on the waterfront in Kekova. After lunch you have time to go and see the castle of Kekova and the Lycian graves. You can also go on a boat trip to one of the many little islands just off the coast. If you hire a car, you can visit the ruins of the ancient city of Myra, the St Nicholas basilica at Demre, the waterfall between Kas and Kalkan and the stunning Saklikent Gorge all on the same day. Try to be at the gorge around lunch time if you can, so you can lunch on the floating platforms on the river. Lovers of antiquity should also make a point of visiting the highly recommended ruins of Tlos along the way. A trip to Xanthos, which is inland from Kalkan, is also definitely worth doing.

We had a very relaxing ten day stay in the Panorama apartment at the end of September when the weather is more bearable for us Northern Europeans - albeit a bit windy at times. The apartment surprised us by being larger than it appeared on the website photos. It is comfortably furnished and has plenty of cupboards and drawers for all the clothes we took with us (most of which we didn't wear). The views over Kas are amazing and the steep walk back up from town was a price worth paying. (Although a taxi is only 15 Lira if we felt a bit lazy.) I guess it wouldn't really suit anyone with mobility problems - but then neither would Kas itself with all its undulating streets and alleyways. Eva speaks good English and helped us by booking the airport transfers and leaving some essential provisions on our (very late) arrival. A minor issue was that the DVD player didn't want to play the DVDs that we'd brought in case of boredom/bad weather. (Perhaps a format incompatibility problem?) Anyway it wasn't a problems because we weren't bored and the weather didn't keep us indoors. We'll be back.
This was one of my favourite holiday ever. I'll be back. Everything was perfect and Eva was super helpful. The apartment is a home and has the most amazing views of Kas . Sun sets are out of this world. 5-10 min walk to the centre . It costs 10-15 lira ( for people who is not fit) by taxi.
We had a fantastic holiday July 15, apartment was clean and spacious, the views were the best we have ever had from a holiday villa or apartment.
We hired a car which we used going out in the day, but in the evenings we did the 10minute steep walk down to the town, not a problem but we got taxi back only cost £2.50-3.00.
Stayed in mid June and the sea view Panorama in Kas is a great base for a holiday but you have to get used to the heart attack hill as we called it as it is very steep even for a car. Its very good exercise to and from the town centre but we have stayed before and knew what to expect. If you want the fantastic view you have to stay up in these hills. We are in our sixties and we love Kas having visited 5 times in the last 15 years. Eva we will see you soon and thanks for the return of the deposit. The holiday rental system said I would be paid my refundable deposit on the 3rd July and I was. We would recommend this apartment for four/ five friends but maybe not very young children. All in all, will we return -yes please!!
We have been before and will return again. Love the area and the views from Panorama
