Kalkan is beautiful, bewitching, tranquil, exclusive but does not necessarily have to be expensive, especially in 2015 with the strongest pound in years (currently 4tl to the £)

Stay at apartment on the seafront Patara Prince Resort in Kalkan and enjoy:

* Direct sea access from secluded sea bathing platforms to the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea
* Choice of 3 swimming pools, all with breathtaking views across the bay of Kalkan
* Highly regarded Spa centre on-site offering a range of pampering treatments.
* A comfortable base from which to enjoy all the facilities of the Patara Prince Resort
* Great value for money (and more money to spend during your holiday)

This fully air-conditioned ground floor apartment is quietly situated in beautiful sub-tropical gardens at the top of the resort. A couple of minutes stroll will bring you to the freshwater infinity pool, the onsite mini-market, the resorts' shuttle bus stop (giving you easy access to the rest of the resort, including the main & adults only seawater pools and the seafront itself). It is also close to the top entrance and pedestrian path to Kalkan (c. 15 to 20 minutes easy stroll) and the bus stop to Kas.

Originally built as the family accommodation for the hotel, we have altered its layout to maximise the space in the lounge which now has two comfortable sofas by day (which convert to two very comfortable trundle beds by night). There is a DVD player (small selection of DVDs – either bring your own or purchase in Kalkan).Through the lounge's french doors you will find the full shade open terrace, framed by a beautiful bourgainvillea tree, which looks across gardens to sea glimpses on the left and towards the lights of Kalkan and the mountains on the right.

The BEDROOM is at the rear of the apartment, which keeps it naturally cool althought there is air-conditioning if required. It is furnished with a comfortable king-size bed and there is ample storage in the wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is also a travel-hairdryer for your use.

The KITCHENETTE has everything you need to rustle up breakfast or a simple meal. It is equipped with a mini-oven with two rings, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery for four. You will also find a clothes/towel airer, iron & ironing board (if you feel so inclined!) and a small safe for valuables.

The SHOWER ROOM (as are many hotel shower rooms in Turkey) is 'compact and bijou', clean and functional. White towels are provided for use within the apartment. Towels for use in the pools and at the beach can be purchased cheaply in Kalkan (typical price 15tl (c. £5).

HOUSEKEEPING is provided by our cleaner Neslihan, a lovely local turkish lady who takes great pride in her work. She will visit visit every 3-4 days to change linen and towels and to do a quick clean

If you haven't booked indepedantly before, the only difference you need to know is that we only just a phone call or email away in the UK should you need us.

The apartment will be yours for the full duration of your stay. No need to check-out early on the last day – it is yours until your transfer arrives. Enjoy every minute of your holiday.

*No tedious wait at reception on arrival. If you book transfers through us, the driver will take you straight to the door, or we will have provided you with keys and map before your departure to take with you.

*Note that unlike hotels, our price is fully inclusive of air-conditioning (although do use it wisely!)

* NEW for 2015, we also provide towels to be used at the pool or beach.

RELAX at the Patara Prince Resort. Every day you will be faced with hard decisions.. just which pool shall I visit today? Shall I use the apartment phone to call the shuttle bus which will take me to the lower part of the resort. There, I will have to choose between the main pool with its panoramic views of the bay of Kalkan, the "adults only" round pool, where I can chill to soothing background music or a sunlounger at the edge of the sea: a blue flag beach with direct access to the crystal clear waters. Or should I just stroll around the corner from the apartment to the infinity pool with yet more, breathtaking views?

BEACHES. The nearest beaches are a small pebble town beach at Kalkan or the shingle and sand Kaputas beach. The latter has a wonderful setting at the foot of a gorge down a long flight of steps and is featured on many tourist brochures for Turkey. It idyllic and unspoilt – no buildings on site. Patara Beach which is an amazing 18 kilometers long and often voted as one of the top 10 beaches in the world is in the opposite direction, as is the much acclaimed beach at Olu Deniz. Both Kaputas and Patara beaches are easily accessible via dolmus from central Kalkan. For Olu Deniz, change buses at Fethiye.

LAZY DAY BOAT TRIP. Either from Kalkan harbour (many boats to choose from, typically £20 p.p. Including lunch), or direct from Patara Prince itself.

On land, theres so much to see and explore in the beautiful countryside surrounding Kalkan. You can either take an organised excursion, hire a car or use the extensive dolmus network. We enjoy taking the public bus from the top of the resort east towards KAS, a drive of breathtaking beauty for just a few lira. KAS is a lively traditional seaside town and resort. Built on the ancient city of Antiphellos its roman amphitheatre enjoys a simply stunning location with views across the sea to the greek island of Meis. You can take a boat to Meis for a daytrip for around £16 return or a glass bottom boat to be amazed by Kekovas sunken ruins. Xanthos the grandest city of ancient Lycia and is easily accessible via the Fethiye-bound bus. Take an organised tour viist the fortress-topped acropolis of Tlos on its rocky outcrop and the18 kilometer long Saklikent Gorge. Here you can enjoy refreshingly cool air mountain air and a wonderful meal at a fresh trout restaurant. More trout restaurants can be found at the village of Isalamar, just 20 minutes from Kalkan, and a real taste of rural Turkish life. At either end of Patara beach youll find more ruins: the cities are Patara and Letoon are scattered romatically here. Whilst from Pinaras hundreds of rock-cut tombs you can enjoy a sense of splendid isolation as well as uninterrupted views across the Akadagi valley. There are many more places to visit.. a week or two may not be enough, but do contact us for further ideas and directions.

Visit from mid-June to mid-September to find all Resort facilities open and to enjoy long lazy days in the sun with temperatures seldom below 30 degrees c. Visit during May and early June or from Mid-September to the beginning of October to enjoy sunny days just cool enough to enjoy lots of sightseeing. It is also the time to enjoy walks along the Lycian Way, one of the top-rated long distance paths in the world or hire a mountain bike to take to the hills.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions on the apartment, the Patara Prince Resort or Kalkan.

Everything about the holiday was amazing. The apartment was clean and comfortable and extremely good value for money. The resort is absolute paradise. Although it was peak season the resort didnt feel over crowed and we still manage to have our privacy. It was lovely having an adults only pool as well. The 25% discount card which comes with the apartments is brilliant. The food at the restaurants the majority of the time is very good, we had one or two lunches which where average but nothing to complain about. The only complaint we had was the mini market which is extremely expensive. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Excellent location on the Patara Prince Resort, which was absolutely beautiful. The whole resort has amazing sea views and the 3 pools are fantastic and werent over-crowded, even at high season. We also enjoyed swimming in the sea from the swimming platforms. Staff at the resort are very helpful and friendly and the restaurants good quality and value for money. We also enjoyed being pampered at the resort spa and would definitely reccommend a traditional Turkish Bath and massage - we have never felt so clean and relaxed! The appartment itself was excellent value for money - clean and adequate for our needs. It also stayed nice and cool in the 40c heat. It is located at the top of the resort, which is convenient for parking, the shop and the lovely infinity pool. We also enjoyed the pretty walk down to the bottom of the resort and there is always the mini-bus to the top if you prefer the less energetic option! Kalkan itself is a perfect location with very friendly locals, pretty cobbled streets, interesting shops and many excellent restaurants, which arent too pricey. There are plenty of trips available offering visits to places of interest and activities such as diving and boat excursions. Thank you for a lovely stay - we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay here, the property was simply furnished, clean and quiet in a secluded corner of an upmarket resort Kalkan is five minute drive away, a pleasant small town with lots of shops and restaurants.wide range of activities to do in the general area.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The complex has some very nice restaurants and we were provided with a discount card for use during our stay. The apartment is in a quiet part of the complex but easily accessible by car from the top road. Kalkan is a lovely little town with some excellent restaurants, we all came home slightly heavier! We also enjoyed being able to swim in the sea from the private terraces down at the bottom of the complex. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a peaceful Turkish holiday.
The patara prince resort where the actual apartment is exceeded my expectations and the lush flowers and trees overlooking the sea provided a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The whole resort is very well maintained and was never too crowded. However, the apartment was only adequate and while it is described as having a shady terrace area, the fact that is a ground floor apartment does not make it very private and there is no view at all. The rooms were a good size but the shower area in the bathroom was badly maintained and the cleaner only came on once during my 10 day stay at the resort. This was not acceptable but as I spent so much time out of the apartment it did not affect me too much. I would recommend the resort and an apartment with a view of the sea or pool area, not one that is on the ground floor . I would not recommend this apartment to any of my friends, it is just somewhere to sleep and shower as opposed to some where to relax,
I have just returned from a weeks holiday in this apartment with my partner and it was absolutely fantastic, the whole place was stunning and definately exceeded our expectations. We will definately be returning again next year!! Thank you for letting us rent your Villa!
The property was perfect for what we were looking for. It was very well equipped and clean and tidy. It was cleaned two/three times in the space of 11 days. The whole resort had lots of things to do and the staff were helpful and friendly. There are many steps to get around the resort but there is a shuttle bus that runs every 15 mins. The resort seems quite expensive to eat and drink but if you are staying there you get a 25% discount so actually works out quite cheap. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back to this resort.
We spent two weeks at the Patara Prince resort in August 2007 and loved it. The thing that we found the most beautiful were the grounds of the resort, they were amazing. The scenery, the pools (especially the infinity pool) the views and the sunbathing platforms were wonderful. The apartment was clean, fairly large and very well situated at the top of the resort near a shop and the infinity pool, even thought is was at the top and a fair way from the sea it did run a shuttle bus from the top to the bottom and back again which took about 2 mins with lovely views. The apartment was most definately value for money. We enjoyed opening the double back doors and eating out breakfast on the patio in the mornings! The town of Kalkan itself is a lovely place, with stunning view and rooftop restaurants and bars, which was only a very very short (or walkable) taxi ride away. In fact, such was our love for Kalkan that my girlfriends parent have since booked and enjoyed a 2 week stay in this apartment and we are already making plans for next year.
