Villa overview - owner's description

A luxury villa with stunning views with a private pool in an an area of outstanding natural beauty.

A luxury villa for the discerning guest looking for somewhere to relax, unwind and get away from it all with a definite "wow factor". The location is stunning, within an area of natural beauty yet the villa is fully equipped to cater for 21st century living to the level that you would expect. A perfect place to escape the pressures of modern day life. It comfortably caters for 6 with ease but would accomodate +2 with the use of sofa beds in the living area.
The villa also has wi-fi.

Spacious patio areas provide the ideal opportunity and setting for alfresco dining as does the purpose built BBQ.

A Rural Retreat with stunning panoramic views & backdrop. This property is in approximately 45 minutes from Patara Beach with its miles of golden sand and amazing ruins which are in the process of being renovated.. The famous Saklikent gorge is within 15 minutes. Tlos, an area of great archaeological interest, with its amphitheatre and magnificent ruins is also about 10 minutes away. There is also the archaeological site of Xanthos within 45 minutes. Kas and Kalkan are less than an hour away too.
The villa sits in a small development in the foothills of the Taurus mountain range to the rear. It will not be ideal for those seeking a lively nightscene and car hire is recommended if you want to get out and about. Driving around the area you can find roadside cafes which offer good value for money and a wonderful Turkish welcome. An abundance of natural flora, fauna, bird and wildlife is available on the doorstep and can be explored on foot. Local public transport is by dolmus (which are similar to small minibuses) which are fun though a little warm. They are efficient and cheap.

Great for friends, families and those with young children.
The villa has spacious patio areas which are fenced with railings and gated so small people can play safely away from the pool if needed. It is worth noting that the development is tiered on three levels with steep steps and has other pools on site.

Linen and towels are provided (not beachtowels).

Family from Hebden Bridge, United Kingdom Aug 2014

Visited with my partner and 3 children...all of us agreed best holiday ever. Beautiful area, lovely house, great places to visit and very helpful advice from Ayhan. Cannot fault anything other than we are now home again! Thankyou very much and hope to return soon

Family from Alton, United Kingdom Jul 2013

After returning from our holiday, our 4th trip to Turkey, we all decided it was definetly our favourite. We loved the location of the villa, sitting back from the coast, you can feel the cooler breeze although as we got into August that does change considerably. We loved the pool which was very cooling after a day spent in the sun. The local people were so friendly, we even were invited to the greengrocers home to meet his family and see how the produce is grown. The local bakers called us in to show us how they baked the bread, all these things made our holiday and showed us the real Turkey that we hadnt experienced before. We spent lazy days at Patara beach which we love, also quad biking along the river, down to the beach, great fun. The children, 12years and 17years enjoyed the rafting at the gorge, also walking through the gorge on a previous day.We ate pancakes from the ladies on the way to the gorge many times and drank turkish tea with them. Some evenings we spent with the locals in the village chattting and drinking tea in the treehouse in the square. We love the laid back way of life and will return. Many thanks to Ayhan who was on hand with any questions we had and very quick to sort any problems. We enjoyed our chats with him and his knowledge of the many fruit trees around the pool. Hoping to return again soon, thanks for a great holiday. Sarah and Will, Chloe and Louie.

We went to Villa Zeytin last August 2012 and had the most fantastic restful yet exciting holiday. The villa is beautiful and the surrounding area is very picturesque. There were many places to visit-saklikent Gorge was amazing and the waves at Patara were exhilarating.
We were well looked after in the villa by the management (Ayhan) who organised a meal with a local family.
Days at the villa were great with a fabulous pool and peaceful and tranquil surroundings. A great holiday.

I am often considered hard to please by my family on holiday. At last I have found a place which meets my requirements .
Beautiful, unspoilt countryside; luxuriously appointed accommodation; friendly and helpful local people; excellent food locally in traditional Turkish surroundings; wonderful weather; and a multitude of different historic and interesting places to visit.
The pick up and drop off at the airport were well organised and our every requirement met by the friendly management staff.

It was a thoroughly relaxing time with a few friends in December. Glorious weather for the time of year. Excellent facilities and the villa is fitted out to a very high standard and is extremely spacious. We even managed to arrange delivery of authentic Turkish food from a phone in the property - delicious, a "take away" with a difference. A really great place to unwind. We will return!

Wonderful veiws a real place to relax. No light pollution and so peaceful. Excellent walks into the unspolit country side whilst being close enough to civilization so the creature comforts are on hand. Eating out in the area is superb and such good value for money. The locals are so hospitable. Can not wait to go back again.

I came to Saklikent in October looking for a relaxing time before the stresses of a British winter. The villa was ideal, with all the mod cons despite its rural setting. The views are breathtaking, both breakfast and sunset on the terrace were picture postcard pretty, and there's plenty to do with historic ruins of many eras in the surrounding area. One day we spent on the beach where the water was surprisingly warm for october, the next we trekked in the hills surrounding the house. Special praise must also be reserved for the local restaurant. The portions were more than generous, the food outstandingly fresh, and despite speaking virtually no English the staff were extremely friendly, letting us watch as they cooked the meat for us on an outdoor wood-burning barbeque. If you want to get away from it all without losing too many creature comforts, this is the place!

Having just returned from having spent a week of relaxation and peace with 3 generations of my family in the villa I can honestly say we had a fantastic time. The views and surroundings are breathtaking and the activities and sights available within a short drive away are numerous. More than enough to keep us all occupied. We hope to return.

Having stayed as your guests for just a week last Autumn following the villas compleion, we must say what a fantastic place this is. We can see how positively the copmplex will develop, the setting is idyllic and we can't get over how friendly and helpful the local people were. An experience to repeat!

A fantastic time had by all. The location and villa are stunning. We'll be back as will the boys. A hidden gem yet within easy distance of the towns and attractions. The local restaurants were unbelievably good quality and we were always served with a smile. Totally relaxing.
