Nestling in the quiet and much sought after Maras district of Dalyan and enjoying unrivalled views towards Caunos mountain, Villa Orodelea has everything that guests need to enjoy a relaxing "home from home" holiday in the sun.
Featuring three bedrooms on the first floor, each with air conditioning (master double with ensuite, second double and a twin) and a second air conditioned sitting room on the ground floor that easily converts into an additional bedroom) Villa Orodelea was individually designed to accommodate in comfort a large family group, two families sharing or guests with mobility problems. Additionally, there are two z-beds available that are perfect for children (up to the age of 12) who may want to stay in their parents' bedroom during their holiday.
To cater for everyone's needs, in addition to the ensuite facilities there are two further shower rooms and wc's, one upstairs and one downstairs.
The main living room is extremely spacious and comfortably accommodates eight people - as does the dining area - and both open out onto a wide external veranda with plenty of shaded areas for use if there is a need to escape from the sun!
The large kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a watercooler, and is spacious enough to accommodate a kitchen table and chairs for less formal eating. There is also a high chair available for use by guests with very young children.
Finally, a separate laundry area with a washing machine, iron and ironing board and small hoover ensures that Villa Orodelea has everything that guests need to enjoy a relaxing "home from home" holiday in the sun.
Externally, the private 500sq metre plot boasts a large swimming pool and linked toddler pool (both carefully positioned to enjoy full sunshine all day), a lawned garden and a generous supply of comfortable garden furniture. We have done a lot of work in the garden recently, including the addition of numerous colourful plants, fig and olive trees, an external shower and a stone-built BBQ.
"Orodelea" means "mountain view" and the villa is very aptly named since the spectacular outlook from the front garden and balconies towards Caunos Mountain - a famous Dalyan landmark - is unparalleled elsewhere in the town. Additionally, the villa features views of Dalyan's trademark Lycian rock tombs, especially at night when their stunning illumination dominates the whole town.
Guests staying at Villa Orodelea are able to visit the restaurant and bar at the nearby Villa Kiydan apartments - a small and friendly development owned and run by a local Dalyan family - and to access the Kiydan's private jetty less than 100 metres away, where they can relax in the sun and watch Dalyan's many boats travelling up and down the river.
Whilst the number of visitors to this area of Turkey has increased in recent years, Dalyan essentially has remained a small fishing town throughout. Strict planning regulations have been in place for some time that have restricted all buildings to no more than two storeys high, meaning that there are no high rise buildings or hotels anywhere to be seen.
Dalyan has lots of restaurants, shops and bars, together with a good selection of supermarkets, all within 10-15 minutes walking distance from Villa Orodelea. Everyone who visits remarks on how friendly and welcoming the local people are - which probably explains why so many holiday makers return there on a regular basis.
The town is set on a river that leads upstream to a beautiful freshwater lake (Lake Koycegis), where you can visit the local mudbaths and hot springs, and downstream via a reed-filled delta to the sea and the famous Turtle Beach conservation area - home of the loggerhead (Caretta Caretta) turtle.
Just up the river from Caunos mountain with its historic city ruins and amphitheatre are the ancient Lycian rock tombs carved into the mountain side, Dalyan's most famous feature.
Turtle Beach can be accessed either by boat downstream through the river delta or by taking a Dolmus public minibus from the town centre on a wonderfully scenic route that passes alongside a lake and through mountains on its way around the bay.
And if you want to visit Caunos, a small group of enterprising elderly ladies in the town centre offer river crossings by rowing boat for a fairly nominal fee!
Finally, as an alternative to the delightful 10 - 15 minute walk into Dalyan, the Villa has 4 bicycles complete with shopping baskets for our guests to use free of charge, offering an easy and refreshing 5 minute cycle ride right into the centre of town and the market square.
Pau and Rosel,
I want to thank you for all your communications throughout our booking process. The Villa was everything we hoped it would be!! We are considering booking it next year. It was in a perfect location, quite, but only minutes from the main strip,.It is sooo spacious there were only four of us staying there, but it felt so roomy. Onur from Villa Kiydan was really helpful with all our questions.
Your neighbour next door was also helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend your Villa to family and friends anytime
Thanks again Paul and Rose for a perfect holiday x

An absolutely perfect holiday in a perfect resort in a perfect villa.
We went as a family of four plus grandparents in August 2014 and wanted for nothing all week during our stay. The villa is just right for a family or couple of families and is in a great location just a short walk from the town centre and just across the road from a quiet apartment complex, the owner of which is a helpful, friendly point of contact during your stay.
Its a modern, clean, place to stay with lovely decor and all the facilities you could ever need from a home from home.
The couple who own the villa are professional, yet very, very friendly, and we had good contact and communication from and with them before and after our stay so that everything went silky smooth from start to finish.
Cannot recommend Villa Orodelea in Dalyan enough - We got back home this weekend just gone and are already making plans for a return visit next year!

Ive given the villa 5 stars as it is really hard to fault. We stayed 2 weeks at the end of May and it was a superb holiday. Our first time in Dalyan and what a really lovely little town. Very relaxing, stunning setting, great food and such friendly, genuine people.
Paul the owner of the villa was extremely helpful with all the arrangements and having Onur in the villas across to rd to help with anything was a great touch. His brothers boat trip was a lovely day out and in the nicest boat in town.
The villa is set in a quiet end of town about 10 mins walk which we didnt mind at all as it was a nice walk. Even with kids it was ok (take a buggy though as its a little bit far if they are little). The pool and views were magnificant. We were in and out of the pool every day and as there was only one house next to the villa (unoccupied at the time) it was nice and private.
The villa itself was very clean and a great size and perfect for our family. The wifi worked just about from Onurs villa across the rd so that is probably the only thing we could have done with - a slightly faster reception. Maybe a larger TV but thats nitpicking! When we used to walk back to the villa Emma always kept saying to me well done for picking it, I think its the nicest in town. Admittedly its not the grandest as theres some whoppers in Dalyan but it is lovely and in a nice spot.
All in all we had a very happy holiday and Id not hesitate in recommending this Villa to anyone.

The party was 8 people from 2 families and there was plenty of room for us all to fit in. The villa is in a superb position just 100 yards from the river where you can have boat trips from via Onur in the Villa Kiydan complex opposite. This was our first trip to Turkey and the help that Onur was able to provide was very comforting. The town was just a 15 minute stroll from the villa where restaurants are plentiful. Isa at Ciceks was our favourite the food being extremely good and because it wasnt a riverside restaurant it was a little cheaper. Isa is a terrific host and is also very helpful. Safran was a riverside restaurant we also enjoyed. We found Dalyan a very friendly & just as importantly safe place to be.
The Villa was very well equipped and the air conditioning a godsend to escape from the high August temperatures. The pool also helped in cooling us down and the kids practically lived in it. The gardens around the property have fig, olive, lime & pomegranate trees from which we harvested from time to time. Unfortunately the pomegranates were not ripe enough for us to sample though.
WiFi would have been useful but there are plenty of wifi spots in the town to utilise. Aside from that very small point to which some would miss and many wouldnt we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate in revisiting again in the future and recommending.

We have been to Dalyan many times but the first time we have stayed in this Villa. It is the best one we have tried, not just because of its great position close to the town and the river, enjoying great views, but also because the owners have built it to high standards and taken great care to ensure its well equiped and maintained. Onur, who owns the Villa hotel opposite ensures the pool is cleaned daily, and is on hand for any help and advise. His boat trips are superb and the best lunch on the river, dont miss the opportunity! Its great to get up in the morning walk 5mins to the local shop pick up the paper and fresh bread and enjoy the view on the way. A great stay thank you.

Villa Orodelea is a lovely property in a very private quiet position but still ideally situated with the short stroll into town. Very close to the river where boat watching is very relaxing. The bikes are an added bonus for nipping to the shops or going further afield around the Dalyan area.
Dalyan is an excellent holiday centre suitable for all ages. This has been our 4th visit - and we will return.

Having visited Dalyan on an excursion a few years ago, we were looking forward to spending a few weeks here this year. The villa was more than we could have wished for. Built to a very high standard, marble floors, air conditioned rooms, manicured gardens and a wonderful pool surrounded by beautiful scenery. The town is a short walk away but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the river delta. We had some great days just relaxing at the villa and had the exclusive use of the neighbours yacht for a never to be forgotten day discovering the coves, caves and sea turtles of Dalyan. All in all a holiday paradise made perfect by this great spacious villa. We will definitely be back.
We have just returned from a wonderful time at Villa Orodelea. The pool was lovely and the views of the rock tombs and Caunos mountain from the garden were spectacular. Onurs mother (from the family-owned Villa Kiydan apartments just across the road) made us a super Turkish meal and wherever we went the Turkish people were so friendly. VIlla Orodelea was very comfortable and spacious and had absolutely everything that we needed and more. The trip to the beach both by bus and boat was excellent and the sea so warm - even in October! All in all a truly lovely holiday - and definitely a Villa to return to.
Just returned from a fabulous 2 week holiday at villa Orodelea. There was 6 adults and we all had a fantastic stay in a truely idilc spot in Dalyan with great views of the tombs. It was a stroll to the shops (I went to the bakers for fresh bread each morning). The airconditioning was a welcome commodity in the heat as was the watercooler to keep you hydrated. So if you are after a quiet and relaxing holiday with excellent accomodation then this is the place to stay. I would definately recommend the boat trip to the mudbaths and a must is the ride across the river by the ladies of dalyan in their little rowing boat... this takes you to the road to the ancient town were I saw tortoises happily roaming around the ruins... Will definitely return....
We really enjoyed our time at the Villa. We were really impressed by the scale of the property.
The short transfer from the airport also helps. The Villa has all the modern amenities one would expect from a luxury Villa. The Villa is large and 5 of us rattled around it very happily for 2 weeks without feeling on top of each other. The location is excellent and the staff in the apartments opposite are really helpful. A short walk into the town and great views over the stunning tombs near the river make this a great location. We felt that we could have easily invited another family to share the villa with us.
Villa Orodelea has been thoughtfully designed to cater either for a large family group, two families sharing, or to accommodate guests with mobility problems. A second separate airconditioned sitting room downstairs easily converts to become the Villa's fourth bedroom, and its adjacent shower room and toilet means that, for those who would find it difficult, there is no need to worry about having to climb the internal stairs.
