Dalyan is an area of stunning natural beauty, an area of sea, river, lakes, mountains and pine forests.

Villa Dalyan is one of the most beautiful villas in the whole of Dalyan.
With panoramic views all around it truly is one of the best villas in Dalyan.

Turtle Beach
Please visit the beautiful, 5km (two and a half miles) strand of golden brown sand called Iztuzu Beach or better known as Turtle Beach. The beach can be reached by road or even better by sailing down to the beautiful turquoise sea of Turtle Beach on the river from the gorgeous river frontage at Dalyan.
The beach is famous as a breeding ground for the loggerhead turtle. These giants of the sea lumber ashore on summer nights to lay their eggs in the sand. Turtle beach hit the headlines in 1987 when the foundations for a luxury hotel were laid at the south end of the beach. There was a storm of protest from conservationists throughout the world (including Britons David Bellamy), backed by public opinion the Turkish government scrapped the project and declared the beach a protected area for ever more.
With its fine crystal sand, shallow turquoise sea and abundant sunshine, Turtle Beach is the ideal holiday beach, perfect for swimming in the warm Mediterranean Sea.

Dalyan has been described as "One of the last corners of paradise", and being surrounded by pine-clad hills, cotton fields and bulrushes, it really is a beautiful place.
Boat is the best way to reach the many attractions of Dalyan, including mud baths where you have the privilege - if that's the word - of being caked in sulphurous, but reputedly therapeutic, mud.
Drifting downstream you pass the haunting, 4th-century BC tombs, which loom, like miniature Greek temples hewn out of the cliffs, high above the river right opposite the town. Marsh frogs croak in the rushes, stripe-necked terrapins and little freshwater turtles dart in and out of the water and, if you are quick, you may catch the dazzling turquoise and gold arc of a kingfisher in flight.
So much is to be discovered by boat; the variety of birds is bewildering and the sight of small turtles basking at the water's edge, with their bodies submerged and their heads on the surface, is unforgettable. If you are very lucky you may even find one of the rare loggerhead turtles, the 95-million-year-old species Carretta Carretta, swimming right under the boat in nesting season, if you head beyond the river mouth. You can also disembark here at the end of Dalyan's beautiful sandy beach, forty minutes by boat from the town quay. However, those few who know will head by regular dolmus (a twenty minute journey) to the opposite end of the beach where the views are as spectacular as the peace.
From one tip to the other, the swimming from this vast and unblemished stretch of sand is excellent.
As well as the large fleet of boats, other provisions have been made for visitors to Dalyan, which has developed from a small village into a pleasant little town.
The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and traditional. Local inhabitants still hang their corn and peppers up to dry on strings hung from cottage eaves on the back streets and every Saturday is market day. Devotees of the wonderful

Not as great as it looks 5 separate bedrooms rest in lounges condition very dated curtains hanging off rails broken toilet seats air conditioning not working in all rooms only two sockets work in top floor no safe linen seen better days ripped and yellow, pool turned all swimwear yellow. Sockets in some rooms dangerous garden lovely people friendly good location just shame about condition of villa

Reply from Villa Dalyan

Villa extremely large and lots of room even when 16 guests in villa.
Pool emptied and cleansed of sun tan oil and cream after you left.
Swimwear turning yellow was from sun tan oil and sun tan cream
One air conditioning unit reported as faulty by the next guests and fixed within one hour.
We never stated that we have a safe.
If you had reported the faults to the villa management company instead of the transfer company then all the things would of been sorted out very quickly.
On the top floor you need to insert the key fob into the electricity unit to switch on all the sockets and lights on that floor.
If the toilet seat and curtains had been reported to the management company then they would have been repaired very quickly.
Unfortunately sockets in Turkey are not up to Uk standards and are only held into the concrete walls with spring clips that can become very lose extremely easily.
All electrical sockets are inspected at the start of the season and replaced if necessary.
All linen is inspected at the end of the season and replaced with new if necessary.

We Had a very pleasant week in Dalyan, the villa
was well appointed and very spacious.
However the bed linen and duvets were very dirty
and we were not comfortable sleeping in them.

Also there were a couple of electrical sockets not completely screwed back to the wall and with young children this could be potentially very dangerous.

The pool area was generally kept clean and the pool was cleaned on a regular basis, However it would be nice to see a soft base for the sun loungers.
The showers were good and hot water readily available.

This villa just needs some attention to a few minor but important points to make it an above average stay at the price charged.

From London, United Kingdom Jul 2007

The property was in a lovely location and fitted to a luxurious standard. However, the technology was too complex at times. Every time I walked past the CD player I kept turning it on inadvertently! Also while we were there the boiler broke and an engineer had to come and fit a new thermostat. This really wasnt anyones fault but I felt like I was on a camp site as had to go to the main indoor swimming pool area to have a shower. That said, it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The entry system is via a key card (only one supplied, which was a bit prohibitive at times) but this didnt always work that efficiently and sometimes had to inser t and re-inser t the card a number of times. All that said, the development, the location and the spec were lovely.

It is rare that we find it necessary to respond to a review of a clients experience of their holiday home. However, in this instance I would vigorously dispute the rating of three stars that the client has deemed appropriate to place on-line and also some of their comments. The clients admit that the apartment was in a lovely location and fitted to a luxurious standard. Their final comments are that the development, location and spec are lovely. The criticism in their review was that the thermostat broke while they were there, which meant that they had no hot water on the Tuesday morning. Fiona admitted that it really wasnt anyones fault and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. We wish to make clear that the problem was reported to us at 11.00 a.m. and was repaired the same day around 6.00 p.m.Fiona has not mentioned that they were generously compensated by our owners offer to pay for their evening meal, which was accepted and charged at over 200 euros. This is a Five Star resort and we invite anyone to look at the photographs of this apartment, the standard of facilities on the development and the superb beachfront location and come to the conclusion that it is anything less than Five Star.

From Watford, United Kingdom May 2007

The photographs do not do the villa justice, it is much bigger than it appears on website and the grounds and pool are very big, a rareity will most private villas.

Our only concern was there was not enough outside lighting, so it was virtually impossible to eat outside at night. When we asked our contact in Dalyan he just said there are no lights.

Also, there was no broom or dustpan and brush to clean the villa with, or umbrellas for the pool even though they are shown in pictures.

However overall the Villa was excellent, very clean and well equipped when we arrived and we would definately use again.

Reply from Villa Dalyan

All ten balconies have lights, the pool has four underwater lights, and the garden wall also has about eight lights. Why the representative said there are no outside lights is a mystery that we need to resolve.

From Coleford

The Villa was exactly as we expected from the write up and offered us all that we required, adequate space and good size pool. As a party of 11 with varying ages the Villa location was excellent & quiet. A short walk into town gave us access to shops ,bars, restraurants and very friendly helpful locals. We had a great time and would highly recommend it. The only down side was being caught up in some rivalry between two different villa caretakers. Both said the other was not good at their job and while the owner dealt with it and apparently laid one them off, we were left to our devices and had no cleaner in while, we were there.

From Par,cornwall.

Wow! The owner and representative could not have done any more to make our holiday any better, many thanks to you both. The villa is beautiful, just be careful not to wet the marble steps it can get very slippery. The cleaners are amazing, they spend hours cleaning and washing. Its almost a shame to use the perfectly laid out bedding and towels. You dont get many private pools that are deep enough to dive into and at 5ft, dive you can.One night we had an almighty storm and as a result the pool turned green but a quick phone call to Hakan and maintenance are straight over ,problem sorted!
Many Many thanks.

The property was bigger than expected, good value for money. The service and hospitality we received was excellent from the local management team. Watch out for the local Restaurant.. can be bit expensive.. go to the town for a better deal. The pool was bit shallow and shorter than expected, but was above average size compare to the local villas. I would go again
