Beautiful luxury 3 Bed villa with large pool in private grounds. Fully air conditioned, views of Lycian rock tombs, peaceful location a short walk from town
Built on the outskirts of undiscovered gem Dalyan, Villa Artemis sits on a very quiet secluded road surrounded by cotton fields and panoramic mountain views while only being a ten minute stroll to the centre of town. The only sound you are likely to hear from the villa is the frogs that live in the stream along the side of the lane. Villa Artemis is a beautiful 3 bedroom villa with a large open plan ground floor, a fitted kitchen, dining area and a good sized lounge with WiFi, satellite TV, DVD and iPod Docking System. There is a sofa bed enabling the villa to accommodate up to 8 people. The upstairs is split into three bedrooms (one double & two twins) with one family bathroom and a master en-suite. Downstairs there is a cloakroom. All rooms are air conditioned and the third bedroom has a balcony overlooking the ancient Lycian rock tombs which are particularly stunning at night when illuminated.
Outside there is a large shaded veranda at the front that captures the cooling Dalyan breeze which gives relief on even the hottest of days. A second terrace at the back of the house gives a peaceful relaxing spot to have breakfast or read a book in the morning sun. The gardens are landscaped and planted with a variety of trees and shrubs and there is a large kidney shaped infinity type swimming pool with a stepped shallow end. There is a BBQ and two dining tables should you wish to cook outdoors and plenty of sun loungers for wiling away the hours by the pool.
Dalyan is a pretty fishing town set in the middle of a conservation area where the building of high rise buildings and large tourist complexes is forbidden. This enables the town and surrounding areas to remain unspoilt and a haven for those seeking a tranquil holiday. There is a huge variety of things to see and do. Your holiday can be as busy or peaceful as you want. On foot you can visit the Roman city of Caunos and the Lycian rock tombs. Boat trips to the Turtle beach, local lake or mud baths are inexpensive and a lot of fun. For those seeking adventure there’s always white water rafting, microlighting, scuba diving or jeep safaris. Exploring the local coastline by boat on the 12 Island tour is something everyone should experience the beauty and clarity of the sea is breathtaking. We fell immediately in love with Dalyan where the local people are the most welcoming and friendliest we have met anywhere in the world. After a holiday here we are sure you will feel the same way we do.

We had a great 2 week holiday in this villa, the villa has everything you could need and the location is perfect, and the swimming is just fantastic.

We arrived early afternoon and was greeted by our taxi driver who promptly took us to our wonderful villa. it was clean, spacious and had everything you could wish for. True home from home. The pool and garden was cared for daily, always early in the morning so it did not disturb you. Take insect repellant as those mosquito's are a pest. My husband was constantly bitten for the first couple of nights but bought some fly spray which seemed to do the trick. There are some fab places to eat and drink but to be honest we hardly went out as we enjoyed the villa and the tranquility so much. It was just fabulous to just sit by the pool and read, take a dip to cool down, eat and drink when hungry or thirsty, what more could you ask for! We can't wait to return. Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday.

We had a quiet week here for the first week in May at the very start of the season. The transfers from the hotel were prompt and we arrived late at night but just in time to quickly freshen up and make our way out for a meal. We were impressed with how clean and well kept the villa was and the walk into town was about 10-15 minutes along a fairly direct road and we found our way easily even in the dark on the first night after the driver pointed out how to get into town.
The location is generally excellent, and is on the whole very peaceful. We did have a few days where it was not so peaceful as the villa behind was having work done/being finished so there were workmen using a digger all day one day but presume this should be complete by the time it gets into the main season.
This was our second visit to Dalyan so we didn't want any day trips just lots of nice meals out and a relaxing stay and the local travel agents were very helpful and there if you needed them, but not pushy at all which we appreciated. The garden was tended to twice a day. The villa itself had pretty much everything you need and everything was in good working order and the furnishings were of a high quality which I think ensures visitors keep the place nice too. Great welcome information is available in the villa and a small library of books. We made good use of the two bikes to get into town for lunch and to do some essential shopping (water and breakfast mostly) and to also ride around the more rural areas out of town which were lovely. We didn't attempt to cycle to the beach but understand that it is possible if you are good cyclists in about an hour, maybe next time!
The local people are lovely, the local food is excellent and the scenery is gorgeous. Do make sure you were mosquito repellent though as the lush surroundings and river make a welcome environment for them. In town you will get approached by most restaurant staff to get to you try their restaurant and there are so many it would be difficult to try them all and so many of them are very good. We have several favourites including: Okyanus by the river and Ali's in the centre. There is plenty to do in and around Dalyan or you can do nothing but relax with sun, good food and wine. We enjoy the local feel to the place and the wildlife including the street dogs and cats who are all very well behaved and often very friendly/gentle.
The only thing we were not too keen about, but wouldn't not stop us from returning to this villa would be the early call to prayer every morning at about 5am as the Mosque is very close by. It is Turkey though and can add to your experience as long as you are good at getting back to sleep afterwards.
All in all, a great location, well equipped and immaculate villa which we would highly recommend.

We all enjoyed our holiday in Dalyan, our first visit to Turkey and we found it to be a good location with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars and some good shops. Villa Artemis was a good base, an easy 15 minute walk into town. The Villa was very clean, had good facilities and we all made great use of the lovely pool and the gardens. We went in August and it was very hot, but there was plenty of shade offered to get out of the sun. The owner Barry was very helpful in arranging airport transfers for us and his agent came round when we arrived to check everything was okay with the Villa. Definitely recommend this villa.

The Villa was fine and we did enjoy our stay,I would suggest that the photos of the property need up dating as it depicts clear view of the surrounding hills this now is not accurate as additional villas have been built, also excessive shrubbery does shade available sun bathing areas and pool!!

First impression on walking through the gate: stunning. Inside, all marble and very smart, very well equipped. Fabulous pool, very warm (sunny, late September). About 15 minute stroll into town, so very convenient. Loved Dalyan - lots to do. Local shop within 400m for basics.

Marc - Kay and I had a lovely time. Dalyan is a beautiful place to stay and surpassed all our expectations, as did your lovely Villa! We were visited by an Oruc rep on our third day and we booked a tour of the 12 Islands with them. It was a fantastic day out and our guide managed to book a larger boat than usual, somehow, which was lucky! The locals were really friendly and we found several nice restaurants to have lunch and dinner, although we did eat at the Villa too, inside and out! The kitchen was excellent and we enjoyed using the bikes on occasion. Eventually we wandered down to the river and took a rowing boat across to see the rock tombs and explore the local area. Well, I mustn’t go on otherwise I’ll be typing all day! We did sign the visitors book, which we liked so much we went to the market and haggled for a few of our own! We were really impressed with Oruc as they really took care of us. We’ll definitely be back next year, if that’s ok! Take care and thanks again.
Becky - I just wanted to thank you so much for a fantastic holiday at your villa, all of us agree we couldn't have had better time. What a beautiful place and so unspoilt, i can't wait to have the opportunity to go back! 1 week really wasn't enough. The weather was 32ᆼ degrees absolutley gorgeous! and I am missing the pool already.
"We stayed here in June and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The booking process was friendly and straightforward. The taxi transfer was on time and efficient and the villa itself was as described and had everything we required. The accommodation was spotless, the pool cleaned daily in an unobtrusive fashion and the aircon ensured we could escape from the heat when required. Our stay was just as restful as we wanted it to be. The area itself is fascinating with lots of places to visit. We would definitely stay here again."
