BEACHES, RELAXATION, ADVENTURE AND HISTORY
SARIGERME BEACH: with 4 miles of golden sand, shallow sea and the island of Babada not too far in the distance, is a great day out for all the family. A short walk along the wooded footpath with its turkeys, chickens and peacocks running free, brings you out onto the exceptionally clean beach. Facilities include food and drink outlets, water sports, showers, toilets, beach chairs, umbrellas and dressing cabins are all available.
SARSALA BEACH: is a lovely family beach set in a small bay with a restaurant, changing rooms, shower and W.C. The beach is 6 miles from Dalaman. There are daily island boat trips available from the small pier price is around £8-10 per person and includes a BBQ lunch.
WHITE-WATER RAFTING: in Dalaman is one of the most exciting holiday experiences and is perfect for active thrill seekers. The Dalaman River is rated as one of the top rafting destinations in the world. Professionals will guide you every step of the way for an unforgettable adventure on the Dalaman waters.
THERME MARIS SPA: you can buy a day pass to use some great facilities including massage, fitness centre, beauty centre (skin care centre, aromatic bathtub, solarium, peeling, hamam, sauna, pressotherapy, starvac, thermo failure), 3 different outdoor pools with thermal natural water, indoor pool, jacuzzi and mud bath. You can see and feed the endangered Loggerhead Turtles. Located immediately behind Dalaman Beach.
IZTUZU BEACH: Visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean coastline. This sand bar that separates the sea from the mouth of the Dalyan Creek is an excellent swimming beach. Situated 30 minutes from Dalaman, Iztuzu Beach has also been preserved, as it is one of the last nesting grounds for the endangered Loggerhead Turtles.
GOCEK: Often referred to as the St.Tropez of Turkey, with its exclusive yachting marina and unspoilt beaches, Gocek has emerged as one of the country’s most affluent areas to live in Turkey. Take the 12 Island Boat Excursion great day out for all the family. The market takes place on a Sunday, ideal place to buy leather goods, local crafts dont forget to haggle!
DALYAN: Only 20 minutes’ drive to the west from the Villa, you will find Dalyan, a small but exquisite fishing town, which lies next to a meandering river, teaming with wild life. After spending your time browsing the typically diverse Turkish market stalls why not relax and take a look at the Lycian tombs, carved into the rock face, from the comfort of one of the many romantically set restaurants lining the Dalyan riverside. It only takes you a few minutes from the centre of town to stroll through to the Old Dalyan of gardens and willow trees, to flavour days gone by.
KAYA KOY: Once a thriving Greek village, this town of over one thousand houses, two churches, fourteen chapels, and two schools, was completely deserted in 1923 when the 25,000 Greek inhabitants living there, along with more than a million other Greeks living throughout Turkey were repatriated to Greece through a massive government mandated population exchange between the two countries following the Greek war of independence. Since then, the village of Kayakoy, as it is called in Turkish, or Karmylassos, as it was called in Greek, which had been continually inhabited since at least the 13th century, has stood empty and crumbling, with only the breeze from the mountains and mist from the sea blowing through its empty houses and streets. A wonderful place steeped in history that touches you to the very soul.
KAUNOS: Visit the ancient ruins of Kaunos, situated approximately 40 minutes from the villa. Amongst the ruins of the city, you will find an old theatre, a large rectangular building that was probably a temple, others of uncertain description, a Byzantine church, and very curious rock-hewn tombs.
SULTANIYE HOT SPRINGS & MUD BATHS: Situated just before Dalyan Creek joins the lake, you can give yourself a body pack of mud and then wash it all off again in a sulphur pool with temperatures as hot as in the Sultaniye Baths.
SAKLIKENT GORGE: the ideal place to visit if you are feeling especially hot. The gorge is 18km long and so steep and narrow that the sun does not penetrate, so the water is icy cold. The gorge is approached along a wooden boardwalk above the river and opens out to a series of wooden platforms suspended above the water, where you can buy and eat trout at one of the specialist restaurants.
We loved everything about this villa, in fact we didnt want to be anywhere else during our stay! The pool was fantastic. Facilities in the kitchen were excellent. Weather was so good we didnt really use the well furnished living room or even sit inside to eat. Bedrooms were lovely. Not on the info, there were pool towels (and plenty of them) in the cupboard which if we had known about could have saved space in the suitcase. The villa manager greeted us on arrival and helped with a couple of queries we had (we shouldve looked in the villa handbook!! all the info we needed was in there). A couple of minus things...... pity the property was overlooked from the neighbour but the greenery will eventually grow up to ensure more privacy on the swim pool. It would have been nice if the the girl who looked after the pool called out a good morning rather than just stroll through and see and to things on the pool. We thought a larger area on the poolside so you could chat with one another easily, we thought the area on the photo this side of the steps leading into the pool could be extended to achieve this also large enough for a patio table would be a good idea? There was further seating in the nook/bbq area but it was really too hot to be in there during August. Shame the gas bottle on the cooker ran out one evening and couldnt be replaced til next day. But on the whole a really good 9 out of 10 from us :-)
Thank you for your comments. May think about extending the pool pathway in the future but did not want to reduce the garden to much

This was a real surprise and a great one at that. The villa was superb and had everything you could possibly want and more. The gardens were delightful and the pool a great way to cool off.
Turkey was beautiful and Dalaman a great base in which to explore the surrounding area or simply laze by the pool. The outside terraces were enormous and plenty of shade was available. We had the best family holiday and absolutely loved the boat trips. Food a real success for all - spoilt for choice. The property manager was great and organised the boat trip for us. The children loved that. Even though the villa was minutes from the airport it was not under the flight path so no intrusion at all. Great air con which ensured a good nights sleep with 30 degree heat outside. No mosquitoes.
Thanks for your positive comments about our villa and pleased you enjoyed your stay

My families first time in Turkey what can i say this has been the best holiday I have had ever. I dont think i will spending anymore holidays in hotels. The paradise villa was beautiful and a home away from home with the added bonus of hot weather and sunshine. We had everything we needed in this villa. The swimming pool lovely garden and privacy of the place was outstanding and well maintained.A mobile phone was on hand with contact numbers for any information you required or in an emergency which I did have in the first 24 hours of arriving when my granddaughter became ill.I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hassan (villa manager) who came to are aid and Rod Harrison an english friend of Hassan without there help I dont no what I would have done so a massive thank-you especially from baby Lexi. The care, concern and quickness of diagnosing her illness by the Turkish doctors I could not fault I could even go as far as saying its better than back home. The only downside was we did not book long enough(1 week) to see as much as we wanted to so I would definetly make it two weeks next year as we are hoping to return. I just want to finish by saying Glyn and Jo-ann your villa is beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better of a holiday and thank-you for having us for all your communication before and after are holiday I just hope we can return next year. Pauline William Danielle Emma and Lexi.

Just back from an amazing two weeks in Paradise!!!. Our first taste of Turkey lived up to all our expectations and much more besides. The villa was beautiful, the pool was an absolute must and we were never far from it. The people were really friendly, the service was 5 star and the food delicious. What more can we say apart from that we cannot wait till we can return next year. If you need a hire car we can thoroughly recommend Maxim, a local firm, booked with the help of the wonderful Marian & Terry, whose help and advice was invaluable. They keep the villa immaculate, so a big THANKYOU to them from Carole,Andy, Jackie & Steve.
We are so happy that your first trip to Turkey was enjoyable and that you found our villa beautiful, we will also pass on your kind comments to Marian and Terry. Hope to see you all again

What a lovely villa , when you walk through the gates you are in your own bit of paradise. The villa is in excellent condition and looks just like a show home. All the comforts you would expect and i would rate it as 5 stars. The locals are great and only to happy to help. We hired a car and explored the local sights which are not to be missed. The villa manager "Gino and his wife Pinar" visited us and nothing was to much trouble from ordering water to fresh fish delivered to the door. We had a great holiday and would book this excellent villa again when we visit Turkey next. The owners Glyn and Jo-ann are very helpful and always answered our reams of e-mails. Thanks again for letting us stay in your lovley villa "A true pieace of Paradise"
Thanks for your positive comments and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay.
We alaways reccomend car hire and it sounds like you have made good use of it to explore the local attractions.
All our renters comment on how friendly the locals are and we feel that this make the holiday experience a trurly Turkish affair.
Thanks Glyn and Jo-ann
Just spent couple of days at this villa, total relaxation every thing you need is there. TV DVD etc. air con in every room. pool was kept imaculate cleaned every day, nice garden area. Hired a car which the owners Glyn and Jo-ann arranged and was delivered to the villa, we exlored the sights around the area Dalyan Gocek and even went upto Marmaris for the day. Good location for getting around from. Gino there villa manger was great source of information and cooks a great steak up at the Burc resturant which has its own pool and is only 5 min walk from the villa on the main road. The locals are always happy to help. For a real taste of Turkey the way it should be then we reccomend you stay at Paradise villa and explore what it has to offer.
Thanks for your positive comments glad you enjoyed the villa and the wonderful surounding areas.

Great villa and ideal for using as a holiday base to explore all the great places that are within easy driving distence, Car hire is a must to make the best use of the villa and its location. The villa itself is fantastic and has all the things that you could need including a great selection of DVD's for those relaxing unwinding nights after a BBQ and a swim, what more could you want for. The villa manager Gino was very helpful and arranged a great boat trip for us all. The local people are very friendly and the main town is only a 5 min drive away and has every thing that you may need. There are several resturants within easy driving distence and Gino recomended several to us which we made use of, saves on the washing up, although loading the dishwasher isent that hard. The pool and jaquzzi are great and are maintained every day by Ahmet (likes his coffe black with plenty of sugar) All in all a great viila in a lovely local area where you can get a real feel for turkish life, would return again. Thanks to the owners who were very helful.
Thanks for your review, All our renters seems to enjoy the friendly welcome that they get from the locals, and we feel that this adds to the real feeling of being in Turkey. As we state this is a typically turkish area and you get a real feel of the local life but are only a short car ride from the hustle and bussle of touristic areas.
Thanks Glyn and Jo-ann
Having not been to Turkey before we had heard good and bad reviews, but we went with an open mind. We chose this villa because of the locality to the airport and with having two young children we didn’t relish the thought of a long transfer after a 4hour flight, We arrived at Dalaman airport which we were told has only just opened, its a nice new terminal with lots of marble and looks very impressive, you have to pay a £10 entry fee which allows you to visit for 3 months and also allows multiple visits within the 3 month period, the queue was dealt with very quickly then we went through passport control, as you collect your baggage there is a duty free shop available before you exit the airport which is a good idea saves struggling off the plane with bottles of your favourite tipple.
We opted to get a taxi from the airport and gave the instructions that we were given by the owners to the taxi driver, within 10 minutes we were at our holiday villa and the cost for 4 of us 13 Lira (about £5). We were met by the owner’s representative a fellow who introduced himself as Geno (this guy turned out to be a great help and we can see why the owners recommend this guy). Once inside the villa we were impressed with the size and layout everything was immaculate, the terrace looked wonderful and the views of the mountains were stunning. The fully walled garden is very helpful when you have 2 toddlers and we felt safe to allow them into the garden to play. The Villa itself is lovely and has all the creature comforts of home, including a good selection of DVD's, We took the advise of the owners and hired a car which was delivered to the doorstep by Ahmet from AS car hire ( recommended from owners) £22 per day 4 door with air con and unlimited mileage and insurance, we explored all the local sights with advise and help from Geno who can be found up at Smileys place most nights " this guy is a born entertainer " Smileys is next door to the Opet at the top of the road about 5 min walk away and serves some quick and easy food as well as a good meeting place for other people staying in the area .
We visited Salsara Bay the drive up the mountain and pine trees was wonderful you pass through a village and the sights are truly amazing, as you approach the bay the view is truly breathtaking, the beach area wasn’t overcrowded and there is a little cafe bar serving food and drink. All in all a great day out relaxing by the sea and a trip we made a couple of times during our stay. We also visited Sarigerme Beach another Jewel this beach has blue flag status and you can see why. There are also shops in Sarigerme which sell an array of original fakes really good value for money and you couldn’t tell the difference with some of the cloths on display, the shopkeepers also like to haggle and we spent 15 mins in one shop with free drinks haggling over £2 pounds we probably drank more but it was fun and the shopkeepers are very friendly. We also noticed 2 discos in the town and had we not been with the kids would have visited. We visited Gocek which is easy to get to, there is a new tunnel which you pay about 50p to use and within 15 mins from the villa you are in the lovely marina town which has waterfront restaurants all around.
Dalaman itself is a growing town and there are plenty of good shops that sell everything you might need or want to take back with you, there are some good places to eat and very cheap, The local market is great the local produce is fantastically cheap you could get all your fruit and veg for the week for about £10. Although we found the language a little difficult we picked up a few words which was great the people are really friendly and genuinely pleased to see you they love children and will entertain them were ever you go.
All in all a great holiday we explored all the local and not so local sights went on boat trips, haggled in the shops , enjoyed good food and good company made some new friends and had a really good time. The owners have a lovely villa which is immaculate and we have been informed that they are having a private swimming pool and Jacuzzi built for April 2007 indeed on the day we left Geno came round to check everything had gone OK and to arrange for the car to go back , he even gave us a lift to the airport “ Now that’s service for you” he also informed us that the owners had instructed the pool company to begin that week, We will defiantly book again next year, the pool will add another touch of luxury to this fantastic villa a truly wonderful experience of Turkey that we would recommend to anyone

Thanks for your detailed comments on the whole experience of you holiday, hope other renters use the information to help them enjoy there stay.
