Luxury 4 bed/3 bath detached villa, arranged over 3 floors, with private pool and garden, close to beach, shops and restaurants.
Enjoy a wonderful relaxing holiday in Villa Diana, a luxury 4 bedroom detached triplex villa with private pool and garden. The villa is built in a Greco-Roman style with feature pillars, arches and decorations. Villa Diana is situated in a quiet residential part of Calis, but still close to local amenities, such as the beach, dolmus route, shops and restaurants. The immediate surrounding area is semi-rural and is a mixture of newer holiday homes and established Turkish houses. You will therefore experience the sights, sounds (and maybe occasional aromas) of Turkish life. There is a small shop 2 minutes walk from the villa, for all those essentials e.g. bread and milk etc, and there is a mini-market about 5 minutes walk, just across the main Calis road. Here you can buy pretty much everything you need. The beach (at the Seril1 end) is an easy 10 minute flat walk. Enjoy the mountain views from the rear of the villa and the beautiful sunsets from the front roof terrace. Laze around the 30 sq metre pool on the cushioned sun loungers and enjoy a BBQ meal on the terraces. The villa has a private gated driveway. The garden and pool are maintained daily (except Sundays). If booking for 2 weeks, there is a mid holiday linen change. A welcome pack is provided, and there an option (paid locally) of a shopping trip to the large Migros (or Tansas) supermarket (in Fethiye), the day after you arrive. The swimmimg pool is available throughout the May to October season.
NEW for 2008: A roof has been built over the front terrace providing welcome shade, and so that al-fresco meals can be better enjoyed.
There is now a pool-side shower for guest use.
A mobile phone is now provided for guest use, useful for contacting the local agent or for making reservations.
NEW for 2010: A pergola has been constructed at the end of the pool, with vines trained overhead, to provide a relaxing shady area for eating or lounging. 2x adult bikes provided for guest use.
NEW for 2011: Exterior security lighting installed.
NEW for 2012: Complete interior re-painting.
NEW for 2013: Complete exterior re-painting. Swimming pool completely re-tiled in blue mosaic, lighting upgraded to LED. Villa now connected to mains drainage.
The spacious accommodation is arranged as follows:-
The ground floor is open plan and air conditioned. The front door opens to a spacious entrance hallway, decorative archways separate the lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. French doors provide access to the front and rear terraces, where you can enjoy relaxing meals al-fresco. There is ground floor toilet/shower room - handy when using the pool.
Take the curved marble staircase up to the first floor, where you will find a master bedroom (double bed) with en-suite shower room and french door to a balcony overlooking the pool.
Bedroom 2 also has a double bed and a french door to the rear balcony with mountain views.
Also on this floor there is a luxurious main bathroom, complete with Jacuzzi corner bath and shower.
Continue up the marble staircase to the top floor, here you will find bedroom 3 (standard double size sofa-bed), complete with kitchenette and patio doors leading onto a private roof terrace with panoramic views (ideal for that all-over tan). This room can be either used as a bedroom, or for the smaller parties as a wondeful chill-out room to watch the sunsets.
Also on this floor is bedroom 4 (twin-beds), please note that this room has a partially sloping ceiling and mountain views.
The four bedrooms all have individually controlled air conditioning units - great when its really hot. The air conditioning units also have reverse cycle heating facility, this is useful for the cooler evenings, early and late season.
If you need additional sleeping space, then the sofas in the lounge convert into either a kingsize double bed, or 2 single beds. Or alternatively, there are 2 fold-out beds available - these are great for kids.
A Cot and highchair are provided for infants (one). Although the villa can sleep a maximum of 10, a more comfortable maximum would be 8.
The villa has been newly and tastefully furnished and is now fully equipped and ready to use.
NB whilst the villa will sleep up to a maximum of 10, this ideally will include up to 8 adults with children making numbers up to 10. The villa is not really suitable for 10 adults.
The villa is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Turkey. Fethiye is set in a pretty bay surrounded by pine-clad mountains and overlooking the 12 islands of the bay. It has a busy attractive harbour with excellent boat trips to be had day or night, plenty of good restaurants, and a weekly Tuesday market, to catch a bargain. Nearby is Olu Deniz, the famous nature reserve and beach. If youre looking for lively nightlife, Hisaronu is within easy reach of Fethiye.
Calis is a small, resort with a lovely promenade, complete with bars, restaurants and shops where you can spend many happy evenings watching the sun go down. There is a long, sand and shingle beach from where you can watch spectacular sunsets. A dolmus mini bus picks you up from the end of the road, near the villa, if you want to go into Fethiye, Hisaronu or Olu Deniz. From the beach area a regular Water Taxi service runs to Fethiye, where there are various boat trips on offer, including the wonderful 12 islands cruise.
NB The villa is situated is a mixed area of holiday and local houses, so you will/may hear noises from animals kept by locals, including cows, sheep, goats and chickens.
Had a wonderful week staying in Calis at Villa Diana. The villa itself was immaculately clean on our arrival and on a daily basis the pool was cleaned and garden areas attended to. All utilities and electric goods you will ever need including a hair dryer in each bedroom, iron and board and dishwasher.
Walking at a steady pace, it will take you 15 - 20 minutes to walk to the main bar area and water taxi; that would be the only negative but saying that, a less 5 minute walk will take you to the main road to jump on the bus!
We would most certainly look at booking the villa again for next year.

A lovely villa. Good communication and prompt reply from owner who went out off way to accommodate our needs. Lots of extras in property e.g. bikes, laundry detergents etc, milk and biscuits on arrival which were much appreciated as we arrived very late evening. Kitchen well equipped including utensils. The 2 agents Tracy and Desree, both lovely ladies, they explained everything we needed to know.
I would highly recommend and stay again at this villa.

I was a bit worried when there didnt appear to be many recent reviews for this villa. We had booked another villa which was then sold prior to our holiday, so had to look around quickly for one to fit our booked flights.
We were due to arrive at 5AM, and the transfer booked by Tracey and Desree (who checked on us during the holiday and made sure we were ok) was there and waiting, and Peter the owner gave us the villa earlier, so we were able to move straight in - and not wait with our cases outside!
The villa had everything a party of 6 could ask for the kids wanted Wi-Fi which would of been handy, but it is such a short walk to the seafront and they soon had 20 Wi-Fi passwords, so could log on anytime! The bikes were handy to just nip off and get a loaf or milk, crossing what looked like quite a main road, but very easy to do! We booked trips out, very cheaply, and gave the Hotel Sevi as a pick up, which again, is just across the road and everyone knew where it was. The dolmus passes this point, and was used several times, again, great location to get everywhere from the villa.
The cockerels werent as bad as some people say, and I am a light sleeper! Pool man came in every day, sheets changed mid term, all amenities as described and all in good working order. I came back refreshed, and told my stand-in at work, who is intending to book the same place, so thats a recommendation!

Fantastic villa we had a great time Loads of room for or family of 4 and easy to get to the beach and bars. The bikes were used most days and came in really useful for the little shopping trips even though the red one only had 1 gear.
The Villa was really clean and the air con was needed during the hotter times. We would recommend this villa to anyone wanting to go to Turkey.
The daughter would love to strangle a few cockerels after this trip as they do tend to be quite loud but you do get used to them.
The one and only down side especially when you have two teenagers was the lack of English TV. (Even though DVDs are provided) Personally I thought it was great to have 2 weeks without it.
Communication with Peter was very good when we had questions during the booking process.
We booked the transfer and this worked like a dream, thanks to Tracy and Desiree for sorting the problem out with the safe, they were great.
Great time, Great Villa have no fear in booking this villa.

We were 2 mid fifties couples staying at the Villa Diana. The Villa was lovely and very well equipped. It is perfectly situated in a quiet rural area but such a short walk to the sea front. The ensuite bedroom is a lot smaller than the other double bedroom, the larger double has a travel cot and is right next door to the family bathroom which is lovely and houses the washing machine. The bar-b-q is a decent size (although the people before us hadnt cleaned it after use) We did clean it and left it that way for the next guests. There is a lot of outside furniture and there is plenty of shade or sunshine around the pool. The pool is around 5 foot all over maybe a bit less. There were a couple of things that we would have changed, one was the timers on the aircon, it was fine having a 1/2hr 1hr and 2hr timer for when we were getting ready to go out but at night when we put the 2hr timer on drifted off to sleep as soon as it stopped it woke us, then we got too hot so then one of us would get up and switch it back on and this was more or less every 2 hrs every night. We do realize that electricity is expensive but we would sooner have paid more for the villa just so that we could have set the aircon on 22c and left it on all night. I think heavy sleepers would be ok. The other was the fridge, the door was stiff and you had to make sure that you really pushed it shut but even though we did that the fridge defrosted itself twice, we didnt lose much food though.
If I was asked for any suggestions I would say that beach towels supplied would be good idea as they take up quite a lot of luggage space and weight that could be better utilised and I dont think it would cost that much.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we would stay in this villa again. We booked transfers and this was trouble free on both journeys. If you normally phone a land line while you are away go to NIL BAR on the front and ask for the land line phone and they let you call any land line free!

Hello there Peter We had a lovely time in Chalis beach and in the villa. Thank you very much for giving us the money to re-stock the fridge, this was very much appreciated and we were glad that we were not without it for too long. we thought the villa was very nice and comfortable, I believe my daughter and her friend watched almost all the DVDs so having a DVD player was great for the teenagers! The air conditioning units were fantastic and the best we have had in the villas we have stayed in. The beds were also very comfortable, we slept really well! Chalis beach was actually better than we had anticipated, and the front of shops and restaurants was great, we really enjoyed our evenings and met some very welcoming warm people in the bars and reastaurants. It was my daughters 16th birthday whilst we were away and the U2 bar made such an effort we were really touched as it was unexpected, we hadn't actually gone there to eat, we just went for drinks but they brought out a cake and let some fireworks off and put on a little show! We prefered Olu deniz in the day because of the beach but we felt that Chalis beach was very friendly in the evenings and we never went anywhere else in the evenings apart from Fethiye and Hisaranou a couple of times. the whole area is great and the dolmus service is so good! Our favourite small supermarket to purchase drinks and biscuits etc was the one on the front, with steps leading down to it (I can't remember what it was called) but the owner was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Val and Howard's service was excellent. I thought that her taking you to the supermarket and showing us around the resort on the first day was a brilliant idea as she was able to point out some places, they were both very friendly and helpful and we felt that we could have contacted them about anything, which is very reassuring when you are abroad. We actually have never stopped in a villa that has a management team and I have to say that I would definately want there wherever we go in the future. we came back and felt very depressed because we had had such a good time - we even said that we would go back in September for a week!! Thank you once again for allowing us to stay in your villa and we wish you all the best and every success in your future lettings. Kind regardsLynne (from Banbury)
