To get the most of your holiday please do consider to travel around in this beautiful and diverse area.
The villa is close to a small bus service which brings you to the delightful market town of Fethiye, the turquoise heaven, which is in the heart of Lycia, a county in the Aegean that is awaiting the lovers of nature with its pristine bays, natural beauty, sandy and pebble beaches and its islets. It has a typical Aegean climate, historical and archaeological places of interest and a unique panorama, the snowy scenery of the Taurus mountains rising to the sky from the pine forests on a warm winter day is not to be missed. Fethiye has got a beautiful multi-coloured sea. To fully appreciate the bays and islands around Fethiye the private tours and blue tours provide an opportunity to explore all this. Fethiye, where your visit to either the old port with "Paspatur" bazaar, the Turkish bath with massage, the Fethiye market or Fethiye harbour could make a start can also be reached by water taxi from Calis centre which is a very relaxing experience.
In Fethiye, with its symbol the rock tombs, amongst which the tomb from King Amintas which overlooks Fethiye-bay, you can jump on another minibus (dolmus) leaving from the Otogar to other destinations. It is a good location to explore the ancient Lycian cities, Cadianda, Tlos hidden valley, Pinara, Letoon, Xanthos, Patara, Kekova etc. Because of this it has a very important historical past.
Kaya Koy: a historical ghost town with over a thousand houses which are completely empty and in complete silence is worth a visit. Some of the houses have been or will be restored. You have magnificent views over the valley and the bay from here when going to the top. In the environs of Kaya Koy you can find restaurants which offer you in the evening a Turkish barbeque together with Turkish folk dancing and of course the belly dancing.
Oludeniz: the pearl of the Aegean coast, famous for its lovely Belcekiz beach, its warm and calm seas and the dance of the green, blue and violet colours in and around it. Rising above the sky immediately behind it, the 1975 meters high Babadag mountain, which is the centre for paragliding enthusiasts. The way up by jeep is as adventurous as gliding down.
Gocek: which has the appearance of a delightful fishing village has assumed the countenance of a modern yacht harbour in parallel with its international development. Active visitors can join in Gocek (and Fethiye of course) a daily tour that covers the 12 islands with the numerous virgin and pristine bays and breathtaking scenery. Make sure you bring your camera.
Dalyan: a visit to the Sultaniye mud baths and thermal springs and a relaxing boat trip on the river, from where you can admire the Lycian Kaunos tombs, is a wonderful day out. It is the place for brooding for the caretta caretta turtles.
Saklikent canyon: located between Fethiye and Kas, is a natural beauty that was formed by the rushing waters of the melting snows from the Taurus Mountains. It is 18 km long and is about 300 meters high at its highest point. Apart from the walks you take in cool waters on hot summer days, it is impossible however to go to the end of the canyon due to the natural conditions. There is also trekking and mountain climbing for those interested. However make sure you bring comfortable footwear, a rucksack and of course your camera.

The accommodation was very good and was in a good location with 3 swimming pools.Loved the fact each bedroom had a balcony and a bathroom.
There were fantastic restaurants near by with a good choice of menus-we went to a different one every night and took a trip by water taxi to Fethiye with the best restaurant -called Mosaic.
Great access to booking trips (found along the promenade) especially the jeep safari including water rafting down the gorge and various boat trips-not to be missed!
It was a lovely holiday

Stayed Jun 2014 - Family
The apartment was situated in a lovely complex with flowers everywhere. Eating out on the patio was really enjoyable. When we first arrived we were struck by how clean the apartment was. Having three en-suite bedrooms with a toilet on the ground floor was very much appreciated by our family group. The apartment is very close to Calis beach which has a long promenade. Great choice of restaurants all along the front, we found very good quality food at a good price. We also enjoyed the water taxi ride from Calis to Fethiye and the opportunity to explore the harbour and tourist shops around the front.

2 year old to 87 year old holiday
Elly was amazing from initially asking for info ( loads of info on the site but needed to be sure of few things for 2 year old and 87 year old) she responded extremely efficiently with a personal touch and kept us very up to date and provided much useful information .
We arranged airport transfers through her ( with Mehmet) and it was first class , the villa manager met us on arrival (Bayram) and was very helpful when we asked for an umbrella, it came very quickly and a spare key so the youngsters could go out for a night when we grandparents babysat and therefore they did not need to disturb us to get in . The villa was spotless and very well presented and all facilities required were there. It was very peaceful and relaxing. 3 pools to choose from and a baby pool and no towels on sunbeds situation - plenty for all and the villa has its own to use.
An unexpected and very pleasant surprise of a food welcome pack which was excellent for breakfast as we arrived about 2200, tea coffee, juice, bread, eggs, milk, jam and huge bottle of water. Wi fi available from site ask the security £5 per week , could not get inside villa often but no probs sat out at the back patio or poolside.
Small shops close buy fro every day items , we ate out every evening and some lunches there is a larger supermarket on edge of Fethiye if required.
We loved going on the water taxi to Fethiye and the restaurant called Address ( turn left as you get off water taxi and it is about 25 metres along) does fab seafood , their fried and grilled calamari , seafood risotto and tagliatelle are particularly to die for, great prices too . We enjoyed Sim café and bar for a relaxed drink ( great mojitos and fab tasting pizzas- pizzas not too large either) along Callis prom, also Bella Mama for fab fillet steaks and the x-factor bar ( looks very pretty with cabanas with white floaty curtains) does a superb grilled seabass . Money changing is much better rate in Turkey than back home , back home we got 2.67 to the £ in Fethiye 2.92 . Also changed euros for 2.5 to the euro!!
All in all a most fabulous stay and I would very highly ( along with my family) recommend Elly and Billys villa.

Hi Billy & Elly Thank you so much for renting us your holiday home. Your house is absolutely gorgeous - and we have had the most brilliant holiday. We took two boat trips and went on the great Jeep Safari - we have had such a brilliant time. The kids thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The whole holiday just went too fast - but I suppose that is always the way. We went to some lovely restaurants - infact we ate out nearly every night! G's went down very well - we had a few meals there and it was very reasonably priced. Didn't get much of a welcome when we got home - just a loa d of rain, rain, rain and more rain - has been so depressing since we got back - just keep thinking of that lovely villa and all the sunshine. We would love to return again next year so we are hoping we will be in touch again soon to see if your house is free. Once again - thank you for renting us your house - I trust everything was in order. With three children we always manage to break at least 1 glass! Thank you so much. Hopefully one day we will meet. When I get a chance I will send you a couple of photo's. Kind wishes and regards Rosie & Gary from EnglandAugust 12, 2008

We would like to share our holiday experience which we had in Turkey on Seaside. We know this area as we went there already 15 years ago and we enjoyed it very much to see this place again. It is a nice house with a lots of space, enough bedrooms (three) and every room includes a bathroom which feels luxury. There is a modern kitchen as well which we did not use much as we had most of our lunches and diners on the promenade. Outside is everything nice with a nice lovely garden and of course the central swimming pool which is big enough for a cool dive!Seaside is near the beach and close to the boulevard with plenty of delicious restaurants! What an enormous variation in restaurants you have to choose a meal! And not expensive! From Indian food till French food you name it and you will find it. Afterwards you can enjoy yourselves in one of the many pubs or discos. The most of all we liked at this place was the environment, not so commercial. Everything is easy-going and of course the friendly people gave us a nice feeling. We have made some trips. One to Oludeniz (blue lagoon) really amazing!! One of the most beautiful places in the world that we have ever seen. We have made a boat trip too you can go snorkelling, swimming and admire the lovely Fethiye bay and the islands. And not to forget the bazaar and the centre of Fethiye, there are lots of amazing restaurants and a lots of shops decorated with lovely stuff. (Like the flower power time). You must really visit this part of Turkey you will not regret!! We really look forward to return some day in the future.Kind Regards,Patricia & Maurice and kids from the NetherlandsJune 2007
Together with my friend and his wife we spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Seaside Residence in May 2006. The house and the complete residence is beautiful with everything you could possibly wish for a relaxing holiday. Very luxury were the 3 bedrooms. All beds were king-size and of an excellent quality. Also each bedroom had his own bathroom. The complex is located approximately 50 meter from the sea and very close to amenities such as bakery, supermarkets and restaurants. You can take the local ‘Dolmus’ (minibus) - which is very cheap - for a trip to Fethiye town, to visit the harbour of Fethiye or one of the local markets. With the minibuses you can go almost everywhere. We made a day trip to Oludeniz with the minibus. Oludeniz is famed for its blue lagoon and the whole coastline is spectacular. This holiday we had only one negative experience, someone took my handy in the minibus on our way to the market in Fethiye. So please be aware that you take care for your belongings in the minibuses as well as on the markets for pickpockets. Nearby the residence you can do all kind of sports especially all kind of water sports. This holiday we walked a lot and we also enjoyed some scuba diving and fishing. All together this was one of the most relaxed holidays we ever had, so we would definitely like to stay there again in the near future.Jan and Wally from the Netherlands
