This Villa is suitable for families and anyone with an interest in Village life in Turkey. The Ottoman style stone villa is atractive with good access to all local facilities. Transport links are good with easy access to Fethiye, Oludeniz,Calis, Hisaronu. Set among mountains, there are vast opportunities for walikng among ancient sites and authentic village life with amenities for modern living. A 2 double bedroomed Ottoman style stone Villa in the Traditional Turkish village of Uzumlu, on the slopes of Cadianda - the site of the ancient Greek and Roman city. Uzumlu is a very old village noted for growing and making wine. The modern Uzumlu has most of the facilities for modern living with a range of shops in the village centre, restaurants and a variety of eating and drinking places. There is a Wine House restaurant which is at the heart of the village and offers a varied menu to suit all tastes. In addition there are Turkish Pides and Pancake facilities in the village. Thirty minues walk from the Villa through the forest, is the famous Hectors Tomb in an area of ancient Lycian Tombs. Another 30 minutes walk takes you to Cadianda where you can see a Roman Amphitheatre and a host of Roman antiquity. Most visitors remark on the friendliness of the villagers, the easy and relaxed atmosphere and the feeling of security. Skiing is available close by in the winter months.

having just returned from this villa all i can say is wow! it is amazing beautiful place, felt like home from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the pictures on the web site do not do the villa any justice,the village is amazing wonderful people, great restaurants, friendly villagers, infact i should keep this a secret as i dont want to spoil this amazing little secret place! thank you clinton,

Ive owned the Villa Shafak for about 3 years. It can sleep up to 6 people. I spend as much time as possible there and my family vist for holidays. We all love Uzumlu, the people, the neighbours and the Villa. If you value spending some time in a setting with a rich historical background, among very generous and hospitable people, and enjoy the marvellous views and opportunities for country walks in a very safe setting, this is for you. In addition you will have access to a wide range of facilities for a choice fo restaurants in the Village and all the other facilities for a beach holiday and entertainment within a short distance.
