This stylish first-floor holiday home is wonderfully located in the Au Cairn I chalet in the enchanting resort of Saas-Fee, just a few minutes walk from a selection of local restaurants and a grocery store. The 200m² apartment features a warm and cosy decor, with wood stucco on the ceiling and comfortable furnishings. It boasts a living room, complete with fireplace and cosy armchairs, four bedrooms, three bedrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. It also offers a covered balcony, which is a wonderful spot from which to enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. The apartment also boasts a sauna and jacuzzi (for three persons), which are incredibly inviting after a day spent exploring the surrounding mountains. Saas-Fee is completely pedestrianised, with only electric buses and taxis benefitting from access to the resort. Cars can be parked in either the outside or covered car park at the entrance to the resort (payable locally). You may wish to consider purchasing a Citizen's Pass, which provides complimentary access to the resort bus across the entire Saas Valley. The pass also offers discounts on parking and access to numerous attractions within the town. SummerSaas-Fee is a paradise for hikers and cyclists during the summer months, with over 350km of hiking trails and over 70km of well-marked biking trails to discover. The hiking trails take you through some of Switzerland's most picturesque scenery and there are wonderful vistas wherever you go. The Marmot Trail is particularly popular with families, as it is possible to watch the tame marmots and feed them (if you're lucky!). The rental of mountain bikes and e-bikes, as well as guided buke tours, can be booked via the Intersport Shop in Saas-Fee.Golf enthusiasts may wish to visit the Matterhorn Golf Club, which is situated between the villages of Randa and Täsch. The course is located at a height of 1,400 metres above sea level and enjoys views of the Breithorn and Matterhorn. The 9 hole, par 36 course is open from May to November. The terrain is mostly flat which ensures it is relatively easy to walk.WinterDuring winter Saas-Fee is a haven for winter sports lovers of all ages. For skiers and snowboarders, there are over 100km of groomed pistes, surrounded by spectacular scenery. The area is also home to over 20km of winter hiking trails, 8km of cross-country ski runs and a 11km toboggan run. Thanks to its location, the area benefits from a fantastic snow record from the end of October to the beginning of May. Please note, apartment ZWA919 are also located in the same building.

When do I receive directions to the apartment and key collection information?
Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.
Bed sizes / bedrooms
The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:
- A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.
A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.
Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.
