The apartment contained everything we needed and was absolutely spotless! D was amazing and provided such good information and recommendations. The rides to the ski lift and train station were not needed as everything was so close and convenient, but it was very gracious of him to offer. You absolutely do not need a car. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Jasmine Apartments to anyone and the lovely town of Grindelwald!!

My family of four stayed in the apartment for the week of Christmas. The apartment, was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We have stayed in Grindelwald in the past, giving us a feel for where the apartment was. You will need to walk up a hill to the town and arrive at the parking lot near the bahnhof. It is a little tricky in the snow, so choose wisely if you have mobility challenges. The unit includes a car park so if you have a car, you can use it provided you can find parking during busy periods. Our car was blocked in one day by the building van, which forced us to change our plans slightly. Our apartment (Shrekhorn) was on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. In all we thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and our stay. The view from the balcony is nothing short of outstanding (true in most of Grindelwald). D, the building manager, was also wonderful. He was friendly and very helpful. I had a number of conversations with him and followed his reccommendations. Getting a local perspective really helped. Thanks D. I hope the little guys are progressing well with their ski lessons. We hope to come back!!!!

Having stayed in Grindelwald several years earlier, we knew the approximate location of the Jasmine Apartments before we arrived. We arrived by car, although the apartments are only a 5 minute walk from Grindelwald station for those arriving by train. The walk to the station and main street with the shops restaurants is up a steep hill, so not really suitable for the elderly or very young (unless you have a car). The apartments have their own private parking beneath the chalet, so this is not a problem. On arrival we were met by "D", who showed us to our apartment. We were immediately impressed by the standard of the apartment, which was clean, spacious and had an excellent outlook over the Eiger and surrounding peaks. "D" was very helpful and was always on hand to answer questions and give advice about the local sights and amenities. We would definitely recommend this apartment to others, unless elderly or with small children. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and it is easy to walk to the cable-car stations in Grindelwald. As a resident of the apartments you will get a guest card which entitles you to free travel on the Grindelwald bus service, as well as discounts on other local attractions. As a family with 2 teenagers, we would recommend taking the cable-car to "First", then descending on the "First Flieger" (zip-wire) to "Schreckfeld", then walking down to "Bort" and finally descending by "Trottibike" (scooter) back to Grindelwald. This was excellent, although quite expensive!

Modern, well frunished apartment in a reasonable location within easy walking distance of a bus stop. Very welcoming manager who cheerfully deals with any request and will drive you to the skilifts each morning. Overall an excellent chalet if you want to enjoy the wonderful skiing and scenery that Grindelwald has to offer.

We stayed at Shreckhorn, Jasmine Apartments in July 2009. The caretaker, Monica, is extremely friendly and very helpful. The apartment is well located, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with new fixtures. Our only recommendation is that, as the supermarkets close early in Grindelwald, that a "welcome" pack of milk, coffee, tea, bread etc. be offered as an option for those arriving in the evening. We will definitely consider staying again - we would love to experience the area in Winter!
Very nice appartment. Plenty of room for four persons. Nice furniture, clean and everything is in order. Internet is available for free and works perfect. Books and DVDs were available and TV had lots of channels. We were welcomed at arrival and got all relevant information immediately - both in written and oral form. We very much appreciated the morning transport to whatever lift/station we wanted. A bus stops right outside the house - so transport home after skiing is also easy. You just have to remember bus hours (once an hour!). If we go back to Grindelwald we will definately consider staying at Jasmine again :o)
We had a great time, enjoying the apartment as well as the town. The apartment was spacious, pleasant and clean. If you are expecting a luxury setting, then look elsewhere (its like living in an IKEA showroom), but the basics are well provided for. We certainly didnt care and instead just enjoyed watching the alpen glow fade over the Eiger, while sitting on the porch with a glass of wine - the view is great. We loved it and would return another time. Some people have complained about the walk up the hill into town. Think of it as a good way to wake up in the morning, while on your way up to get some fresh bread. You get used to it! The caretakers are very pleasant, exceedingly friendly, and always willing to help. One fault is that the there isnt a dedicated clothes dryer. The laundry essentially serves as a whole room dryer, when a massive blower is turned on, but having a regular dryer (given the cost of the place), seems a reasonable request. N.B. anything extra (towels, TP, etc.) costs extra and there is a local tax that needs to be paid when you check out.
excellent on-site hosts
Easy booking, great value for a family of four with the two bedrooms, large bathroom, living area, etc. All the reviews were helpful. Loved the radiant heat in the floors. Apt. was very clean and modern. Location was great, although since the walk to town/train is up a steep hill, we took advantage of the ride in the mornings to the train or ski lift. The manager was wonderfully pleasant and helpful. I didnt really know how to contact her though, if we needed something, so I resorted to going down to the front door and buzzing her doorbell...
Property was spacious, clean and neatly decorated. The view of the mountaisn - in particular Mount Eiger - from the living area was spectacular and the balcony was also spacious and shady so that lunch and evening meals could be comfortably eaten here. Overall the apartement was a great base for the holiday, ideal for a family and very comfortable
Excellent property, lovely views from balcony, clean, well equiped, short walk to station and town. Very friendly, Child friendly. We really enjoyed our trip to the jasmine apartments and would definately recommend. Oh and the beds are very comfortable.
