Fantastic apartment with great facilities and tremendous views from the balcony. Well equipped and great showers. Diarmuid was very helpful in terms of local opportunities, things to do and with managing the chalet. All 5 of us would like to come back here again as it was a tremendous base for a two week family holiday.

Extremely good apartment. Kitchen so well equipt that we ate in most nights. Very helpful managers and the transport in the mornings made for a very relaxed start to the day. Would not have wanted to walk up the hill carrying skis.
The views across to the Eiger were wonderful.

The support of the host was friendly, very caring and pleasant. The app was spacious, light and appropriately equipped. We were the first party for the winter season in the top app of the house and it took the heating system a few days to make the room warm. Unfortunately during that time of the year even on sunny days the sun is not reaching the balcony or the app.
Evtl it would benefit from a kind of Sweden oven or open fire. The carpet on the floor is not the the standard of the app. and should be changed against a wooden floor.
These are all recommendations to upgrade the very good standard and to complement the very pleasant host family. It is unfortunate if what could be a "feeling at home" place falls behind by some simple hygien-factors.

The view was fantastic, however the quality of the apartment was not up to the standard suggested by the web site . Carpets where very stained and gave a very poor impression , the wood on the balcony was in need of repair and in places downright unsafe . The outdoor furniture was cheap and not very cheerful. However the apartment was well equipped and spacious . The caretaker/housekeeper very helpful and the apartment was clean apart from the above points. We do like to spend a bit more to try to have somewhere nice to stay but felt very disappointed by this property.

It was really great. We enjoyed the stay in jasmine apartments so much. All the rooms and the balconies with this indescribable view were fantastic. The service was quite good, especially the house managers are so a lovely persons. Always extremely friendly and helpful!
Stunning location. Words cant describe the view. Super comfy beds, lovely large open plan living ares, and conveniently located c lose to town. Slept so well at night since it was so peaceful. Could have done with a few more towels but that hardly ruined the holiday!! Loved it.
The place was wonderful We spent a good time The cost is high Apartment on the fourth floor without elevator was tired with bags
We stayed for a week in the Monte Rosa, which is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom
apartment at the top of the Jasmine Apartments building. The building is
located 3 minutes from the city center so its location is perfect. Off
the busy main street, yet close enough for everything including the
train station. The apartment is spotless. Extremely well taken care off.
The kitchen comes with the standard amount of pots and pans and dishes
including glasses and goblets (as well as a cork screw for wine). It has
an oven with warming drawer and a microwave. Coffee, sugar and tea
packets are also available.
The building has 3 different free Internet wireless access points so if
one is slow you can switch to another. One bathroom comes with a walk-in
shower and the other with a bathtub with shower curtain. Each person
gets one bath towel and one hand towel. The main bedroom has adjustable
beds (which creak) with closets in-suite. The 2nd bedroom has in-suite
closets whereas the 3rd bedroom doesnt have in-suite closets but there
is plenty of closet space in the living room area. Note that the 2
secondary bedrooms are geared more for children than for a couple. One
bedroom has twin seperated beds and the other has twin beds connected
but with about 10cm of wood in between which makes it hard to connect
with a spouse, but can be done.
On the ground floor there is a laundry room (for money) with 2 washing
machines and 2 dryers.
The porch has 6 chairs and a table and gives a stupendous view of the
mountains. You wont want to leave the porch to do anything.
The only improvement I would suggest is to provide salt and pepper
shakers. We brought our own but not everyone would think of that.
Suggestion to Jasmine - how to differentiate yourself from other zimmers and
make money as well: rent walking sticks and binoculars. Walking sticks costs
about 40CHF. Rent the set out for 10CHF/week. Binoculars costs about 80CHF -
rent them out for 20CHF/week.
My wife and I booked this (the Monta Rosa, top floor) apartment, needing a place in Grindelwald to spend a week in July with our two adult daughters and their partners, partly to celebrate my 60th birthday. My wife and I (and the girls when they were much younger) had stayed in Grindelwald before so had a good idea of what we wanted and what to expect. In this accommodation we were not disappointed. The location and views were as described, and perfect for our needs. The layout of the apartment meant all three couples had good bedrooms, and the living/dining room/kitchen was huge. The balcony, not in any way overlooked by others, was great. As regards cleanliness and equipment, it lived up to the high standards weve come to expect over many stays in Swizterland in terms of kitchen equipment Id say it was better than the frequently more basic levels of other aparments.
Most of all, as others have mentioned, Monica and Jose were very helpful, both before arrival and during our stay. In fact when Monica heard it was my birthday, she turned up that evening and presented me with a cake!
Just for additional information (not complaining!) the washing machine is not in the apartment, but in the buildings shared area in the basement. (Weve previously booked apartments through Interhome and they make a point of distinguishing between facilities in the flat and those in shared areas).
Others have already mentioned that its at the top of the building, no lift, so after a long hike, the stairs were sometimes a bit of a challenge, but this was not something that would put me off at all returning. A great week and thank you, Monica and Jose.
I loved the view from the balcony at the Monta Rosa, the apratment had everything you could need. My only disappointment was that the storage units looked cheap, which reduced the overall feel of the apartment slightly. However this wouldnt stop me from returning.
I cannot speak highly enough of the Jasmine Apartments in Grindelwald. Immaculately maintained, attractively furnished, with high-end kitchen appliances and other fixtures and fittings. This was a luxury apartment, at very reasonable prices.
The owners, Monica and Jose treat their guests like family. You can ask them for anything, at any time if they can help, they will. They also obviously have pride of ownership, and work tirelessly to maintain their excellent accommodations.
Oh, and did I mention the views from the apartment? Unbelievably breathtaking! We stayed in the top-floor Monte Rosa apartment.
Everything actually was perfect that has not happened to us before in our many vacation rentals in cities around the world!
I would not hesitate to recommend the Jasmine Apartments to anyone.
Wow - what a fabulous view from the Monte Rosa apartment!!
A big thank you to Monica and Jose for their friendly welcome, knowledge and "beyond the call of duty" service.
When we needed to know something, they were there. When we needed a taxi, they were only to happy to jump to the task.
With 2 young children in our party this was a huge relief, as that hill is tiring.
The town was perfect for the non-skier and the restaurants bustling - booking is advisable!
Just wish I had taken more photos!
Thanks again. Leanne and Family.
Lovely property, but just a few criticisms:
Main one, there was not adequate hanging and drying for towels in bathrooms, we ended up hanging them over bedroom doors to dry. Need hooks on doors and towel racks.
No mirrors in any of the three bedrooms.
Not enough tea towels, infact only one, no oven gloves. Kitchen could of been better equiped. Not enough oven trays, serving or wooden spoons.
Not enough flat drying space to dry out wet ski gloves etc, again moore hooks etc would be good.
But lovely aspect, good position apart from steep hill to get to the village!
Thank you very much for your review, we try to take everyones points on board. We agree with you that Monte Rosa needs hanging hooks in both bathrooms and some mirrors in the bedrooms. I am sorry you didnt receive more than one tea towel or an oven glove, that shouldnt have been the case. During this off season we are actually making a lot of upgrades to Monte Rosa, and I shall be sure to look at the kitchen and what extra things we need to buy. Many thanksJenny and Daniel
We stayed in the Monta Rosa at the Jasmine Appartments. It was a lovely and well equipped appartment with spectacular views of the Eiger. We found the accomodation to be very clean and perfect for our family holiday.
The Managers Monica & Jose are a credit to the owners - nothing was too much trouble!
We hope to returm in the future.
Just two points to mention
1) I do not agree with the non-refundable security deposit. I have no objection to paying for any items that my family and I may damage but why should we pay 30 GBP on top of an already expensive week for something we havnt done!
2) When I wrote enquiring about booking the appartment my emails were replied to immediately yet with the holiday approaching I wrote again asking for general advise re the transport system. I never received a reply to my emails!
We had 4 lovely nights in this apartment. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had fantastic views.
Monica who looked after the property could not do enough to help us during our stay. She is a wonderful asset to the property and helped make our stay very memorable.
I would suggest perhaps a starter pack of coffee and tea would be a nice touch, otherwise there was very little to fault.
We would happily stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.
Excellent property, fantastic location, very helpful and friendly resident hosts (Monica).
ALthough relatively expensive for UK visitors due to the exchange rates, it was still value for money for a family of 5 and we probably benefited from most of the other apartments being vacant - in terms of peace and quiet. Perhaps the owners should look at reducing summer pricing to fill the house - or more extensive marketing? -as Grindelwald is such a great place, with loads to do for a summer family holiday.
THe only slight negative comment would be that the carpets and decor were showing patches of wear and tear - which is what you would expect after a busy ski season, and I would guess there would be some remedial work prior to the next ski season.
Stunningly gorgeous views of the Eiger and Monch and surroundings, including the valley below. Sit on the porch and watch the light change the mountains by the minute. Nice apartment: clean, efficient and spacious. It is on the top floor of a 4-story building, and theres no elevator, so the walk up & down 4 stories can be a bit much. We were always out of breath upon walking into the apartment. But the place is worth it. Only other weird thing is the design of the apartment is such that some of the doors & windows to the porch dont open all the way, but no big deal. Location is less than 5 min walk from the center of Grindelwald (near the train station and grocery store). Quiet neighborhood. Monica, the manager, is super nice, friendly and helpful.
