Excellent standard of accomodation. Very well maintained and facilities good. Our only problem was with recycling rubbbish bag: only one provided for a group of 6 prople and it made life difficult over a rather simple issue! I feel pathetic to mention it, but I feel strongly about it as rest of the property was very good. Since thare are such strict regulations about rubbish disposal and recycling, being stingy about rubbish bags doesnt help! However, we had a very good time.

Monica and Jose were very friendly and cooperative - e.g. offered bread service and gave helpful hints concerning Grindelwald. It was a very pleasant stay. Daniel and friends

We really enjoyed our week in Switzerland and thought the apartment was lovely. We went as a family of 5 adults and two children aged 4 and 1. The apartment was very clean, very warm and family friendly. The only slight hitch was that the hot water wasnt working on our arrival, but the manager soon came out and fixed it very quickly. It would also be nice if the apartment had a high chair for any babies staying but the travel cot was great. The apartment is a little way out up a hill from Grindelwald but it is very well served by buses and Grindelwald itself is a lovely place. We would strongly recommend the chalet and would go again if the opportunity arises. The view of the Eiger itself is fantastic and it made our Christmas to view all the lights in the valley. With thanks.

We stayed in Chalet Bielholz in August 2011. For a family summer holiday, the chalet is excellent in every respect. We found it to be airy, very spacious, well maintained and well equipped. Having read some of the other reviews I can say that the owners now provide many brochures and leaflets about the local amenities and attractions. There is also a WiFi connection (and it worked very smoothly). Although the chalets location is in a quiet spot, and not exactly central, the walk into the village centre is manageable (even coming back uphill with shopping and two children). The terraces views are spectacular, and it was a perfect spot for watching the fireworks for Swiss National Day! At current exchange rates, its not a cheap place to stay, but I thought it was worth it.

Property was well maintained and we were pleased with the level of cleanliness. It was spacious and we had a comfortable stay. However we felt a little isolated and would have preferred to stay at jasmine apartments with an onsite manager as well as neighbours. Overall we were very happy with our choice.

Views are spectacular! Inside very tidy and neat. Terrace needs to be maintained better

Everything was great. Owner of this property should inform visitors about rest 2 bedrooms what is very small and with windows to nowhere. We stay in chalet when weather was cold 3-4 Celsius and firewood for fire place we have to buy at Grund. The best solution will be if wisitors can buy wood directly in Chalet.

The apartment is incredibly spacious and luxurious for a holiday rental. The beds and living room furniture are high quality and very comfortable. The views from the terrace are lovely. The kitchen is huge but sparsely equipped. Only the bare minimum is provided. The hob has both electric and gas hobs but the gas ran out on day two but it didnt matter as the electric hobs were enough. What was especially disappointing was that was no information for visitors, no brief instructions on how appliances worked and no one to check us in. There was a folder telling us what to do with rubbish and what fees were due if we didnt pay visitor tax or lost keys. We did not receive a landlords email prior to our visit explaining the visitor tax charge and other arrival information as expected. Jasmine Apartments owned by the same landlords have WIFI, English DVDs and books but Bielholz does not, this is not made clear on the website but every effort was made for us to make use of the facilities at Jasmine apartments to compensate. The manager was friendly and helpful but did not yet know much about Bielholz. A few town maps, explanations of the bus routes, ski hire and piste maps and bus timetables at the apartment and other tourist info easily obtained from the visitor centre would have been helpful on arrival as would brief instructions on how appliances worked.
