This villa was perfect for me and my family. It ticked all our boxes. Good size pool and outside area, away from the crowds of Playa Blanca, on the edge of one of the housing blocks. Very quiet area and private garden. Comfortable inside including the beds and had all the kitchen equipment required. There was a very comprehensive welcome food pack and Carol, the owner, was very prompt in responding to my questions. All in all a great holiday - apart from the weather of course. Allegedly it hadn't rained for 5 months but that all changed during our vacation when there was a monsoon, pretty much for 3 days! I didn't expect that! We only used the air con once although we did use the ceilings fans in the bedrooms at night. No mosquitos either - what a bonus! If I had to make one suggestion it would be to include a fifth sun lounger mattress as there were only four. We hired a car and although not essential it was useful, especially when doing a big family shop and going to the natural beaches of Papagayo which are fantastic and about a 10 minute drive, mostly along dirt tracks. The nearest beach within walking distance, about 15 mins, is Playa Dorada and is a man made beach with lots of sun beds but there is still space for those who just want to be on the sand. Loads of restaurants too. I can certainly recommend this Villa and Carol's hospitality. Many thanks.
We stayed at the villa for 9 days and had a lovely time, lovely quiet location, very friendly neighbours, on our arrival the villa was very clean, we didn't get in till late and the owners had left milk, pizza , water, and other essentials which was a very nice touch. The pool was very clean and we had the pool man round whilst we were their to clean it, we rented out a car from the airport and drove to the town / beach which was a 5 minute drive, as with the heat walking to the town was a little to far. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the villa to others. We took our 9 month old and the owners asked if their was anything we required they very kindly left us a highchair and travel cot to use.
We stayed at Villa Isla for 7 days. On arrival the villa was clean and tidy which wasn't expected as we arrived before the check in time. There was a lovely welcome pack of food which included a pizza, special k, pringles, coke, cava and water which was enough to keep us going while we cooled off in the pool. We were concerned that the pool may be a little small for 5 adults be it defiantly wasn't. It was of ample size and deep enough for us all. We enjoyed using the BBQ although it was not clean on our arrival. We spent a few days on the sun loungers around the pool and found the villa to be everything we needed and more. There were lots of towels in the bathroom which meant we could have new ones midweek. The villa advert states its close enough to walk to the beach and supermarket, it is close enough but we personally found it a little to far, about a 20 min walk which seems long in the heat. We did the walk a couple of times but as soon as we found out how cheap the taxi were we decided to use them. The average journey cost us 4 euros for 5 people. The beach and marina were both lovely with reasonably priced bars and restaurants. We spent two days on the beach and enjoyed the banana boat for 10 euro each and we also paid to use loungers and umbrellas at 3 euros per piece.
The only things we though would improve the property are
1) pool inflatables to use (we left ours for the next guests)
2) improvement in the air con, we paid 1 euro for each hour we wanted but it was never that cold and never cooled the bedrooms
3) a welcome folder - info on taxi, market days, supermarkets, rubbish points, doctors would of been very useful to us!
Thanku for letting us use your lovely villa! we hope to visit again soon! x
had a good stay here the weather has been very hot at one point my car thermometer read 42c which is very hot on the hands, the villa would benefit from a car port to shade it a bit, I found the local area to be clean, tidy and quite, the beds a quite comfortable especially for someone who like me suffers from joint pain. There are enough shops to stock up with food/drink that are not far away, the pool is one of the best pools I have been in usually they have too much chemicals in or are a bit slimy but this one is perfect the pool man has got it just right, the hob/oven are electric and for someone that uses gas it took a bit of getting used to, the utensils are adequate for preparing meals, and there's plenty of places to eat out with reasonable prices if you don't want to cook, timanfaya park is not too far a drive away but I would get there early other wise you can expect to queue for an hour!! then on the way back you could call in for a camel ride which is good especially for the kids, the local beaches are great, and if you like looking through shops I you could pay Puerto del Carmen a visit only about 1/2 hour drive away. overall I found this villa to be in a great place just far enough away from the busy parts but not too far that you can't walk. I would return here again and would recommend to my friends.
We had a fantastic stay. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The villa was well equipped and great for a family.
