Apartment overview - owner's description

2 bedroom apartment with air-conditioning, gardens and pool area. Close to beach. Family groups only. Non Saturday changeovers and odd durations available outside of peak season, please enquire.

Apartment San Esteban is on the ground floor in a Spanish style complex of well designed apartments enclosing a large garden area with plenty of grass and a large pool with a shallow section for children. It is just 300 metres to the nearest beach and a short distance to the sandy bay at El Arenal with its shops and restaurants in one direction and the old town and harbour in the other. A regular local bus service is available if you prefer not to walk. There are restaurants and a supermarket within a short walk. The apartment has the benefit of air-conditioning and gas central heating (see included allowance). Please ask if non-Saturday start/finish days required.

The apartment is on the ground floor (although there are a few steps to access the apartment it is all on one level inside) and faces south with a full width terrace and small private garden area providing direct access to the communal Mediterranean garden and swimming pool. There are several child-friendly features at the apartment that are detailed below.

There is a double and a twin bedroom each with air-conditioning, a built in wardrobe, bedside tables, a dressing table with large mirror and ceiling fan. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, bidet, washbasin and WC. The kitchen features a hob and oven, microwave, toaster, juicer, coffee filter, blender, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a picnic cool-box and Thermos flask. Ample hot water is provided by an instant gas fired boiler and there is air-conditioning and gas central heating throughout.
In the air-conditioned lounge there is a circular dining table with chairs, coffee tables and a two seater and a three seater settee. The 32 inch flat screen colour television receives Spanish and English television channels including BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5, Sports channels, etc. There is also a DVD player with a small DVD library and a music centre for CD's, cassettes and local English radio stations. The apartment has free internet Wi-Fi and a small book collection.

On the terrace you will find a table and chairs, sofa and armchairs with a coffee table, sun loungers and a portable barbecue. There is an allocated parking space in the underground car park and the sea, restaurants and a supermarket are within a short walk of the apartment.

Child friendly features: Cupboard and drawer safety catches in kitchen, electricity socket safety covers, stair-gate available, toys, children's' DVD's, cot, high-chair, baby items, etc..

Terrace with table, chairs and sun loungers, Community gardens and pool, 300 metres (4 minute walk) to local pebble beach, 300 metres to supermarket and restaurants, 800 metres (10 minute walk) to Port Area shops and restaurants, 1500 metres (18 minutes walk) to sandy beach (El Arenal).

The prices include bed-linen, towels, welcome pack, utility allowance, internet Wi-Fi, UK subscription TV channels, garage parking space and final cleaning. We also offer airport transfers, car hire, child minding, pampering sessions, travel Insurance, currency exchange, etc. All subject to availability so please book early.

Utilities: A daily allowance for electricity of 10Kwh and for gas of 60m3 is included in the rental price. Any usage over this is charged at 20p per unit (Kwh) for electricity and 3p per m3 for gas. You can check usage yourself on the meters at the apartment.

Javea
Javea has the old town, the port area, and the more modern El Arenal beach area that each provide a selection of shops, restaurants and other attractions. There is a long beach of Toscar stone as well as pebble beaches and a sandy bay. In the summer the beach bars and the market stalls at El Arenal provide an interesting atmosphere to enjoy on a stroll or just sitting around well into the night. Each Thursday is the local market with an abundance of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as CDs, perfumes, clothes, bags, toys, etc. etc. There are two excellent golf courses near Javea and the town also has its fair share of Fiestas throughout the year that are always an enjoyable occasion.

Places to visit
Javea is an ideal centre for visiting other attractions and places of interest on the Costa Blanca. Nearby is the Montgo Mountain that looks like an elephant and it is possible to climb to the top of this where you will be rewarded with some spectacular views. The safari park at Vergel and caves at Benidoleig are a short drive away as are the nearby towns of Denia, Moraira and Calpe. The nearby village of Gata is well known for its wicker goods and here also is a Spanish guitar factory that you can look around. The waterfalls at Bollula are featured on some of the postcards and the pretty village of Guadalest perched on a rock is famous for hand made lace. Benidorm is only 40 minutes drive and offers the huge aqua park Aqualandia , sea world (Mundo Mar) and the new Terra Mitica Disney style theme park. Here also is the Benidorm Palace that put on some excellent stage shows with dinner included if you wish.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the San Esteban Apartment. The apartment was well equipped and the complex was peaceful and very enjoyable. We would definately consider returning in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Hughsie. The townhouse was in a great position with shop, pools and Polaris Town Centre all within short walking distance. Golf views were good. We stayed at La Torre last year but would say this apartment was better, the only exception being no air con upstairs.
The owner was very helpful before we went, answering any questions I had and the property managers were friendly and helpful.

Thanks very much for an enjoyable stay.

Villa was lovely, clean and spacious enough. Loved the terrace overlooking the golf course. Pool area nice. Not busy like a resort would be.
Quiet area but that suited us.
Golf clubs provided very useful.

Very spacious and relaxing with easy access to shops. Sea swimming is for experieced swimmers. The pool is cold (October) but the sea was warm. Brilliant holiday and will definately like to go back there for a winter holiday

The location of the villa was perfect for us and it is very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed.

All the family really enjoyed the week and the garden was ideal for my small granddaughter who could run around in safety. We would reccomend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and child friendly break thank you!

We had a fantastic time, the villa was home from home.. and very comfortable. Centrally based and within easy reach of everything we needed. The Kitchen facilities were top notch, and the number of bathrooms were fantastic as our party consisted of mainly girls!!! The service received by John and Co could not have been better!!
