Al Andalus Thalassa is a 4 year old development built in the attractive Andalucian style. Every effort has been made to make both the apartment & extensive gardens a relaxing & comfortable place to spend your well earned holiday.

Faciliities on site include 2 Free Form Outdoor Pools (Open 1st June - 30th Sept), Paddle Tennis courts, Childrens Play Areas, Extensive Landscaped Gardens with relaxing seating areas, Waterfalls & Fountains.

There is also an indoor pool in the Spa Centre where you will also find, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Gym Equipment, Steam Room. (Open October 1st - May 31st)

The complex is a secure & safe environment, with controlled access, cctv & allocated car parking space.

Our Apartment is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment with private patio & garden. The garden is gated so children can play safely.

All the rooms are bright & comfortable with quality furniture throughout. The Living/Dining area & both Bedrooms benefit from air conditioning/heating.

Bedroom 1 is an ensuite double bedded room with fitted wardrobes.

Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room with fitted wardrobes.

There is a travel cot & inflatable child's bed for younger children.

The Lounge/Dining area is equipped with 2 sofas (1 converts to a double sofa bed), Dining table & chairs, TV & DVD player. Garden Furniture is provided for your use on the patio & garden area, where you can enjoy both sun & the shade.

The Kitchen is modern & fully equipped, including, Cooker, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine, Dishwasher & Microwave. All utensils, cutlery etc are provided for your use.

If you are arriving on a late flight, our managing agents are able to provide a welcome pack, if required. A mid-stay Linen/Towel change can also be arranged & paid for locally.

The Local Area
Vera Town is a bustling vibrant place that retains much of its Spanish charm. There is an attactive town square set amongst the huge variety of shops, cafes & restaurants. The Saturday market is well worth a visit.

Vera Playa, has 8km of white sandy beaches that have been awarded blue flag status. There are a wide selection of shops & restaurants in this area. Additionall, there is the areas only water park which provides entertainment & fun for all the family.

Garrucha is a working fishing port situated about 10 minutes drive away. You can watch the days catch being auctioned to the local restaurant owners & then later in the evening choose your meal from the catch of the day. There is a lovely promenade for a evening stroll, with childrens play area. Market day is Friday

Mojacar Playa, approximately 10km away, has a huge variety of restaurants, beach bars & nightclubs a well as numerous shops, banks etc

Mojacar Pueblo is set slightly inland from the playa & you will find here steep narrow streets with whitewashed houses & quaint little shops.

For the golfer, the apartment is situated within a 15 minute drive of 3 excellent 18 hole courses - Desert Springs, Marina Golf & Valle del Este.

If you prefer wheels, just 10 minutes from the apartment you will find Garrucha Go Kart track which provides fun for all ages.

Further Afield
Aguilas provides a wide variety of outdoor activities, including rock climbing & trekking. It is also well known for its underwater landscape which attracts divers from all over the world.

Cuevas De Sorbas - Part of the upper town of Sorbas, if you like crawling around dark, enclosed spaces, this is the trip for you! Cuevas De Sorbas is around a 40
minute drive away and home to old gypsum mines. Popular with visitors, you may find that you are not alone on this visit! Remember to take your trainers, and maybe a sweater as mines can be cold places.

Sorbas - Houses the gypsum mines museum, and is a typically Spanish town, which is just as famous for its ceramics as it is the mines. Take the sign to Ceramica Artensia just before the main road into Sorbas, to discover a range of family owned potteries, each offering a different style of ceramic which are available for purchase in the pottery shop. Traditional kilns and hand painting techniques are used to produce wonderfully colorful

San Jose and the National Park - Between Carboneras and Cabo de Gata near Almeria, the national park is both spectacular and beautiful. It’s a great drive along the coast, especially for motorcyclists, with twisty roads through mountainous scenery.

San Jose is perhaps the most picturesque village along this route, with a gorgeous harbour flanked by wonderful seafood restaurants. The coastal drive may take a couple of hours, or take the San Jose turn-off the highway and reach the village in around an hour.

Almeria City is full of history with a wealth of museums, historic sites & art galleries. It is a lively city with a wide selection of good restaurants & traditional tapas bars.

The Sierra Nevada mountains are a 2 hour drive but provide hiking in summer & skiining in winter. The resorts are relatively close to Granada so you could combine the two.

Tabernas is the location of "Mini Hollywood" where A Fistful of Dollars, The Magnificent Seven & The Good, The Bad & The Ugly were filmed. Family entertainment is available in the form of mock cowboy shoot outs, parrot shows & a zoo.

Just back from a great holiday. Apartment and complex had everything we needed. Very clean and quiet. Weather was fantastic. Would recommend a car to get around.
This has been one of the nicest rented properties we have stayed in. It contained everything you could need. the complex was nice too, daughter loved the pool area. The apartment was clean and well maintained and you had your own parking spot outside too. I would definitely stay here again and give it 10/10.
