Apartment overview - owner's description
The apartment is a modern, two bedroom, air conditioned apartment on the third floor of a private residential complex. (Lift to all floors) The apartment’s terrace overlooks the communal swimming pools and boasts fabulous panoramic views of mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The terrace is not overlooked by any other properties and
looking north along the coast of Costa Blanca, the views extend some 20km.
The apartment has one double and one twin bedroom and can sleep up to six people by utilising the sofa bed in the living room if required. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space.
In the living room there is a HD TV (all Spanish channels), DVD player and CD player (with ipod connection). The dining table can accommodate six people, however we recommend having most meals on the terrace which also seats six guests.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with Fridge freezer, hob, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster, and the utility area has a washing machine. The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans etc.
The bathroom is fully tiled with W.C, sink, bath, shower and bidet.
There is secure underground parking in the apartment complex with a designated parking space. From the garage there are lifts to all floors within the complex.
The complex has two swimming pools, one being shallow and ideal for small children, and also has a tennis court and basketball/5-a-side football court, for residents use.
Keys can be collected from our local agent who will meet you at the apartment. Please note that we require a 200 euro security deposit to be left with our local (on-site) agent. This is returned when you leave following a successful check of the apartment. Cleaning of the apartment is paid locally - directly to our local agent at 35 euros.
The apartment is located just north of the beautiful Spanish Seaside resort of El Campello (North of the City of Alicante) in an area known as Pueblo de Acantilado or Cala D’Or. The apartment benefits from being located in a very quiet residential area . There is a small family run bar/restaurant and a small supermarket, directly opposite the apartment complex. The apartment benefits from having easy access to the N332. (Which runs along the Coast between Alicante and Valencia.) The N332 is easily accessed from the A15 E7 motorway, making the apartment within 25 minutes drive of Alicante Airport.
There is a bus stop directly outside the apartment where a bus can be taken to El Campello. From El Campello a Tram can be taken either Southbound into Alicante or northbound along the coast as far as Altea. Having use of a car is however beneficial. There are easy links to all major motorways in the Costa Blanca area for those wanting to explore further a field. To the south, the town of El Campello with its beautiful beaches and excellent choice of family orientated restaurants is a seven minute drive from the apartment. Alicante town centre is approximately 20 minutes away by car. To the north, the pretty seaside town of Villa Joyosa is only 10 minutes along the N332 and the Theme and water parks outside of Benidorm are only a 25 minute drive.
Many popular golf courses are only a short drive from the apartment including the popular Alicante Golf.
El Campello is a small Spanish Seaside Town situated on the Costa Blanca, just north of the City of Alicante. The town boasts kilometres of beautiful, white sandy beaches complete with a Palm tree lined promenade and crystal clear blue sea. The town has many restaurants offering a wide range of dishes, with locally caught seafood being a speciality. There is a harbour at the north of the beach where a fish auction is held daily at 5.30pm. Next to the harbour is a 500 year old look out tower used against invading pirates. Below this tower on a small rocky point called La Isleta are archaeological remains that date from 3000 years BC through the Bronze and Roman ages. Pottery found here from Islamic residents of the 11th century, is displayed in the museum in Alicante.
Although English is not as widely spoken as it is in other places along the Costa Blanca, visitors will have no problems in being understood in the small gift shops and bars that line the main road (San Bartólome) running adjacent to the coast. The town has plenty of supermarkets scattered along its length including; LIDL, Consum and two Mercdonas.
The larger hypermarket of Carrefour is a five minute drive from El Campello.
The town is an ideal holiday destination for all ages, although those wanting to enjoy the nightlife and frequent clubs through the night may need to travel to nearby Alicante.
From the Tram stop in El Campello one can travel south into the centre of Alicante or north along the Costa Blanca as far as Altea.
The Costa Blanca region averages about 3,000 hours of sunshine per year (about 325 days per year) and the average temperature is more than 20 degrees centigrade.
El Campello’s major fiesta is “The Moors and the Christians” which takes place around 9th October and lasts for one week. Battles are re-enacted on the beach and there are street parades on two evenings lasting approximately three hours.
Alicante and the surrounding area
Alicante is a large, vibrant city with something for everyone. It boasts long white sandy beaches, has a large Marina, many restaurants, pavement cafes, bars and nightclubs, a vast array of shops to suit all tastes and budgets, and places of historic interest such as El Castillo de Santa Barbara. The castle sits high on a hill offering spectacular views across the city.
From Alicante Marina boat trips run all along the Costa Blanca. One popular trip is to the Isla de Tabarca, 17km off the coast. The Island boasts secluded beaches and is ideal for snorkelling. You can even take a trip in a yellow submarine!
The museo de la Asegurada was formerly a prison but today this imposing 17th century building houses a collection of 20th century art including works by Spanish greats Picasso and Dali.
El Barrio in the centre of the city is the throbbing heart of Alicante’s nightlife. You can party until the morning here in a vibrant Latin atmosphere.
Alicante’s largest fiesta is Festival de Sant Joan which runs for one week in late June of each year. Alicante becomes engulfed with street processions of floats bearing satirical figures made of wood and papier mache. The festival climaxes with a massive fireworks display over the Marina and the burning of all the floats.
Elsewhere on the Costa Blanca the picturesque towns of Villa Joyosa and Calpe are easy to reach. Both are beautiful places to visit for a day and soak up the Spanish Culture.
25km inland from the coast is Guadalest. This mountain top village dates back centuries. There are fantastic views across the valley and reservoir and many gift shops. Nearby are the Fonts d’Algar (Algar Falls) – Magnificent waterfalls and mountain springs cascade into wonderful pools, where, at certain times you can take a dip and cool off.
Those who enjoy the thrills and fun of theme and water parks should head north to the outskirts of Benidorm. Terra Mitica and Terra Natura are both popular theme parks whilst Aqualandia guarantees a day of water rides and splashes. Mundomar (Seaworld) has many attractions; the most popular with visitors is the dolphin show, where you can have your photo taken with one of the dolphins.

we were a bit hesitant at first as we always hire villa's but this apartment kept my family of 4 in complete luxury.We were amazed at the quality of the furnishings and the communal facilities ie the large pool and the smaller shallow children's pool there is also a well equipped gym and football and tennis court.(although the tennis court was not available when we stayed due to some work being done on it).There are also luxurious changing facilities for men and women with sauna's,showers and toilets giving it the feel of a modern, "day spa".This apartment complex is gorgeous and we will be staying here again.The apartment itself is basically an ikea show home (my wife has taken some of the product numbers off the furniture so we can purchase when we get home) and has everything you want and more (tv,dvd,hifi,microwave etc) so take your own movies and music if you wish.the location is perfect 30 mins from alicante 30 mins from benidorm and 15 mins to we considered the best beach "Villajoisa".The owner has thought of everything and provided us with comprehensive guides and instructions the view from the terrace is amazing and we are already missing it .Overall this apartment is excellent quality and exceedingly good value for money.
What a lovely well equiped clean apartement, very comfortable beds, superb balcony with stunning views of the sea and mountains. The Large Pool , Gym and Sauna make this apartment excellent value. The local town of El Campello has something for everyone, a good selections of resturants and shops probably the best shoe shop I've every been in, all excellent value, with beautiful beach and warm aqua blue sea. I will definately rebook! Thank you for a relaxing holiday.
The property is by far the best equiped that I have ever rented.
The Apartments are situated in a safe and secure complex, with a pleasent swimming pool and games area making it ideal for families with children.
The town of El Campello is a ten minute drive away with an excellant sandy beach and a good selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from if you prefer to eat out (which I do).
All our shopping was done at the supermarkets in El Campello, which again offers a wide variety of foods and goods.
There is still further development taking place within the area which was not obtrusive or noisy and would certainly not stop me from booking at Cala D'Or Apartments or visiting the area again next year.
An immaculately maintained apartment with all mod cons and a fantastic view from the terrace. (The photos don't do it justice!) Loved El Campello - only a very short drive - beautiful beach and a really good choice of restaurants.
Sunbeds provided allowed us to have a great time lounging around the pool. Also great fun to play tennis for the first time in a while. Very prompt response to booking enquiries. We'll definitely book again and will be recommending to all our friends. Thank you for a fabulous break.
Excellent communication and reliability in making the booking and collection from the airport. Apartment is very well set up with all facilities you could think of, even down to a pair of binoculars to enjoy the view further. It was all easy, organised , clean and relaxing. Bar, shop and bus stop just around corner.
Only possible suggestion is a couple of sunbeds to use for comfort by the lovely pool.
We had a great time and will be making repeat bookings.
