This beautiful La Marina 3 bedroom/2 bathroom villa is set in its own spacious fenced grounds in a residential area with a private driveway and lockable gates.

We have furnished the villa in a contemporary style that complements the quality and finish of the property. There are three double/twin bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes and all have the option of 1 Kingsize bed or 2 singles per room. Our standard configuration for the bedrooms is for the master bedroom to be made up with a Kingsize double, with the other two rooms as singles (as per the photos). If your requirements are different to our standard layout, please let us know when you book and we will be happy to make alterations. There are two bathrooms (one en-suite with bath, shower, WC and bidet).

We are committed to providing our guests with a level of luxury usually associated with a First Class hotel suite, including thermostatically controlled Air Conditioning and heating throughout the villa, plus a home cinema system with DVD, CD, FM stereo and is equipped with a lead to connect an MP3 Player/iPod. The TV also has both SCART & Phono connections for external equipment such as Xbox, Playstation, digital camera/camcorder etc. An alarm system is fitted throughout the villa for your safety and security.

The villa has a private roof top solarium with dining table and chairs, enjoying a 270 degree view of the local towns and villages, with the Orihuela mountains in the distance. There is also a built in BBQ on the solarium allowing you the opportunity to enjoy the full al-fresco dining experience. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, digital ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A washing machine, clothes airer, ironing board and iron are also provided in the utility area, which also houses the electric hot water boiler. A full set of linen and towels are provided for our guests use - although please bring your own beach towels!

The villa is protected by an alarm system and there is a good sized safe provided for our guests use. A twin retractable washing line is also available in the garden area. A selection of indoor & outdoor toys are available in the villa.

The villa is located in the most recently developed part of La Marina and forms part of a new development of only 12 properties with a large totally secure 10 metre x 5 metre swimming pool available only to residents and guests of the 12 private properties. A lockable gate in the rear garden provides direct access to the pool area, and the pool is visible from the roof terrace/solarium. The property is equipped with a selection of sun loungers and reclining chairs that can be used around the pool or on the sun terraces & solarium.

Please note there are new villas being built on the opposite side of the road from our villa. We hope this won’t affect the enjoyment of our property however these works and the timescale to completion is outside of our control.

Local Facilities/La Marina/Costa Blanca/Golf Courses
La Marina comprises of two separate areas with the village, around 600 metres from the sea and the urbanisation where the majority of the newer properties are built about a mile inland. The village has retained its Spanish feel, whilst down on the beach there is plenty of free parking just behind the famous sand dunes and pine forests at La Marina beach and also at El Pinet. They are both blue flag beaches and have all the amenities to hand along with a restaurant by each car park and a beach bar at the La Marina beach. Alternatively there is a restaurant just behind the La Marina beach called La Pinada that specialises in fish and grilled meats, but also serves snacks and drinks both inside and on its terrace. A local bus service is available throughout the main summer months between the urbanisation commercial centres and the beach.

Nearer to the villa there is an abundant supply of bars and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket, as well as supermarkets to supply all your needs for a stay here. The nearest and one of the most modern commercial centres in the area is only a 10 minute walk away. There are also a number of excellent Indian, Chinese and even a Fish & Chip restaurant with take away facilities, ideal for a lazy night in with a good movie or curry by moonlight on the roof top solarium.
There are a number of children’s play areas within a few minutes’ walk of the villa that include swings, roundabouts, see-saws and football goals and basketball hoops.

There is an abundance of wildlife close at hand with the Salinas de Santa Pola having one of the largest flocks of flamingos in Spain and the famous El Hondo nature reserve close by.
With mountains inland and salt lakes to either side the area has its own microclimate with little rain. The World Health Organisation recognises it as the healthiest place to live and stay in Europe.

No doubt, this fact played a part in La Marina being listed in the top 10 best emigration destinations by "Homes Overseas" magazine.

The Costa Blanca coastline is world famous for its excellent beaches and golfing facilities. However, there is so much more to do than just bask in the sunshine. This part of Spain has been occupied by many different peoples over the centuries, each leaving their own historical influences on the area. As a result, the region is home to some stunning cultural landmarks: castles overlooking the sea ancient villages impressive cities, all built and added to by many conquering races. There is also some stunning countryside, including the largest palm grove in Europe at nearby Elche.

So why not explore some of these treasures during your stay ? We would recommend hiring a car as there are so many places you could tick on a "must-see" list. We would include among them Alicante itself (more than just an airport!), Torrevieja, Elche, Orihuela and - especially for the kids, the theme park - Terra-Mitica. Around 2hrs drive north along the AP-7 is the city of Valencia, the 3rd largest in Spain, and well worth a visit. However, the real “must-see” of the area has to be (in our opinion), the tiny village of Guadalest, inland from Benidorm. Carved out of the mountain, access to the village is through one very small and narrow entrance, for easy defence in times of emergency a fascinating and truly unique example of local Spanish heritage.

As expected, there is an abundance of water sports available to try in the Torrevieja area. There are also marinas in Torrevieja and Alicante. For children there is an Aqua Park found in nearby Quesada, which also has a number of shops restaurants, bars, banks and the like to meet all your holiday requirements. There are many markets held in the local towns and villages, or a drive into Torreveija takes you to more sophisticated shopping. For a completely different aspect, the hills which back onto the Costa Blanca offer some superb walking, especially further north towards Benidorm and Denia.

Due to the excellent Spanish motorway network, Valencia is only a couple of hours away, which is ideal as Formula 1 hosts its urban based circuit in Europe (Monaco being the first), to be held in Valencia. The new circuit is based around the City of Arts and Sciences and the Marina area at Port Americas Cup. Surpassing Monaco and taking the lead as the new European Grand Prix, the race will be held around the Mediterranean port.

Costa Blanca Golf
There are several golf courses in the area although closest to the villa is the La Marquesa Golf Course of Ciudad Quesada, which is around 10 minutes drive away. Its wide fairways with large channels, lakes and obstacles will be to the taste of most players. It is an extremely comfortable course to play on and you will need to use all the clubs in your bag.

A little further on is El Plantio Golf Course, which is an unspoilt area of Elche. It is both interesting and fun to play on, being a filled with trees and 3 large lakes with a great variation of greens. It is planned to be much larger in the near future.

The villa is especially well located at the mid point of the golfing mecca that is the Costa Blanca North & South. Here, you will find easy access to the local courses, with an even greater choice being available via the nearby motorway network. The villa is situated on a very large urbanisation of villas. It is a 10 minute walk up a slight incline to the nearest cluster of bars/restaurants/supermarket/bank/tourist information. It is a bus ride of about 15 minutes to the beach which is very nice.
The villa itself is very nice. In a very quiet area. The only problem, and it is only a very little one, is the chairs outside in front of the villa (with the table) were extremely uncomfortable. Other than that all was as described.

Beach is to far away it is not 3km like advertised the sink is chipped and badly marked the on suite toilet seat needs replacing and the double bed should be a double bed and not just 2 beds pushed together when every time you move the come apart in the middle and gives you a distrubbed sleep more litature is needed on places to eat and different supermarkets enjoy our stay Nichol who looks after the apartment was very helpful

our villa stay was fantastic, it was home from home but in the sun.
everything needed was their , great pool, good security & comfortable. I recommend any people that stay walk up to the grey area where their are more places to eat & drink. visit the HOGS HEAD great food & drink.

this area is a little quiet, but very relaxing. will visit again.

Our stay in the villa was a last minute booking, sadly owing to a family bereavement rather than for a holiday, so it was such a relief to get an acceptance from Darren within 12 hours, as this meant I had one less thing to worry about. On arrival, I only had to wait about 10 minutes for Nikki and Roy to open up & then was efficiently talked through all the facilities. Nikki was also on hand via WhatsApp.
Pluses: The villa is modern and had all the basics for 4-6 people. However, users would need to bring extra towels for the pool/beach & buy their own kitchen stuff such as cling film etc. as these are not provided.
The roof top terrace was pleasant with wonderful views of the mountains in the distance. There's a proper barbeque provided, too. Behind the villa - the communal pool; although quite small, was great for an early morning dip and, like the rest of the complex, clean and safe. There was a shallow toddlers' pool, too.
The street outside the villa was quiet, despite builders building new housing opposite. The walk to the supermarket and bars is straight up the road - 5 minutes tops. 'SuperValu' - a small supermarket - caters for everything you might need, including fresh fruit and meat. The bars are a mix of English, Scandi and Spanish. My favourite is Santa Monica's as it has a cool breeze on the terrace. El Station is nice, too, with pleasant staff.
Minuses: The air con downstairs didn't seem adequate enough for the entire ground floor - the system in the master bedroom was much more efficient. There were no mosquito nets on the doors or windows, which meant you couldn't have doors/windows open in the evening (mozzies love me - 4 bites on the first night!). It's ideal for 4, rather than 6, unless two of the six are small children - 6 adults might find the table/2 sofas, a squash.

Overall: I'd definitely recommend the villa. Its many positives outweigh its negatives considerably.

Spent 10 days at this property at the end of June 2014 in a group of 5 adults and one nine month old. The property itself is immaculately clean and well laid out. The roof terrace is a fantastic feature if youre a serious sun bather, the air conditioning inside very efficient and the TV reception as advertised (which makes a nice change) the pool is clean and quiet although some shade would have been very welcome as there was none at all. The area that the villa is in is basically a great big housing estate, of villas. Lots of high camoflaged railings and locked driveways, we had a bunch of about 6 keys to unlock doors, gates and shutters. There are about 4 supermarkets for food etc. The bars/restaurants nearby are perfectly fine but lack character, we hired a car and found it to be pretty essential. The beach is a ten minute drive away and we visited every day - lovely, chilled out atmosphere and a lovely strong cool breeze. For a chilled out familiy holiday this place fit the bill as a base coupled with a car to get around.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at the villa. Very nice area and although building work on another villa was taking place during our stay, this didnt interfere at all. Fantastic facilities particularly the free Wi-Fi and the pool which we had sole use of during our stay. Great service from the property manager Nicki who spent her time explaining how everything in the villa worked. She was just at the end of text message/phone call if we needed any assistance. Lots to do in the area. We covered about 600km in our hire car which I would say is essential. Spent quite a few days visiting Elche which is 11km away. Very interesting to see the Easter Sunday parade there. Supermarket and bars within half a mile of the villa. The Big Eat Café in the commercial zone is a must for good quality, reasonably priced food. They serve the best homemade burgers around. Iceland and Lidl just over a mile away. Interesting Saturday market behind Lidl for local fruit and veg. Even saw North Staffordshire oatcakes for sale! Based on our holiday in La Marina, we want to return again next year.

We had a lovely month long stay in the villa and enjoyed the swimming pool which was easily accessed from the villa, well located for bars and restuarants with only a ten minute drive to the beach.

We had a lovely stay last week thanks weather a bit cloudy on travel days which was probably a bit of a blessing! Nice to be back in familiar surroundings, caught up with the locals, got burnt on the beach and chilled out in the house.

Finding somewhere suitable for 4 young boys has been a challenge in the past, but this villa fitted the bill. The pool is superb (and for the vast majority of the week, we were the sole users) and theres plenty of space around the villa itself and the pool area. Its location was ideal - a couple of minutes walk from the play area and football court, a pleasant stroll to the local village and a short drive from beautiful beaches. We particularly liked the homely touches such as toys for the pool, food basics (sugar, coffee, olive oil etc) and plenty of cleaning materials to clean up after our mob! The contact with the villa owners was excellent and the local representative who met us on arrival was also very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again. Thank you.

We had an excellent holiday thanks, and the Villa was everything we could have hoped for. We thought it was very high standard accomodation, with everything we could possibly need. We especially liked the terraced area with bbq, and the fact that there was fully adjustable air conditioning in the bedroom as well as the main living area. We had no problems with access to the pool, and we had it to ourselves for the whole week. Booking this villa couldnt have been easier, and all the information we needed was given to us. Alan was very helpful too, and explained everything we needed to know on site. The weather was great for the whole week too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the villa in La Marina. The villa was beautiful and I think we lived out on the Sun Pavilion having BBQ’s and sunning ourselves for the whole week. The lounge bar and staff ended up being the local and we had a lovely Sunday roast!
