A cosy and rustic villa with a private pool sleeping six people, Villa Betania feels more like a country house once you step inside. The three bedrooms, large lounge and dining area all feature rustic-style furniture, cooling white walls and terracotta tiled floors. Stepping outside, guests can enjoy the private pool with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea and the town of Calpe.
Villa Betania's best room is the outdoor terrace, accessible from the living room. It's generous, wonderfully furnished with a large sofa and dining table and is basically an outdoor living room. And what a view! From here, you have the most stunning aspect over the bay, the countryside running down to the coast and the vast blue Costa Blanca sky. The hardest choice you'll have to make all holiday is whether to stay here revelling in the view or drag yourself away to your sun terrace and private pool. Decisions, decisions!
Several steps lead you down to the terrace, where welcome shade is provided by a mature palm and Mediterranean pine tree. There's a generous area around the pool, providing all six of you with plenty of space to find the perfect spot and the pool is shaped and inviting. Splash about all day, every day if you wish – it's exclusively yours.
Villa Betania is well-placed for excursions, starting virtually at your door with hiking trails through the surprisingly lush countryside in this part of Costa Blanca. If you hadn't already realised, you're surrounded by orchards, groves and vineyards, the fruits of which bear testament to the temperate climate enjoyed here year-round. Oranges, lemons, almonds, pears, grapes and olives all grow and thrive in the thousands of hours of sunshine each year.
If you're feeling sporty, tennis and golf can be booked within ten kilometres of Villa Betania, and there's an array of water sports for you to try at Calle de la Fustera's marina. La Fustera is your nearest area to spend your money. After just a few minutes in the car, you'll find a supermarket, shops, restaurants and a gorgeous beach!
For another sightseeing trip, venture inland about 12 kilometres to discover the enchanting old town of Benissa. Once you've had your fill of rustic Spanish charm, head back to the coast and reunite yourself with your very own private villa, pool, veranda and view. Happy holiday!

A short drive down to the coast from Villa Betania brings you to your local area of La Fustera, where you'll also find a beach. Have lunch in the beach bar and restaurant, or take a break from the sand on the nearby picnic area and playground. Relax on the white sands (which are perfect for building sandcastles) or take a cooling swim in the refreshing blue waters of the Mediterranean. The rocky cliffs on either side of the bay hide low-lying rocks, and the shallow waters could prove interesting with a mask and snorkel.
There's a water sports centre at the marina for windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling and diving. Or if you want to hone your skills further, there's a professional sailing school and diving centre a few kilometres up the coast road at Les Bassetes. For more beaches, move north along the coast to Cala Pinets or Cala Llobella.
Moraira is an attractive coastal town about ten kilometres from Villa Betania. You'll spend a lovely day here visiting the marina, shopping along tree-lined streets and perusing locally made or grown goods at the market (Friday mornings only). We recommend having a lovely meal at the seaside restaurant, El Chamizo, where you can enjoy some delicious seafood and marvel at the gorgeous sunset across the Mediterranean Sea.
The medieval town of Benissa lies inland from Villa Betania and is well worth the drive upwards to 275 metres above sea level. One of Benissa's culinary specialities, and a source of much pride, is their cured sausages. Sample some while you're here, accompanied by a Rioja wine from the region.
