Apartment BellaVista, Costa Del sol


I bought a property in this area as it is ideally situated for the airport, bars and restaurants and within a 2 hour drive from the Sierra Nevada where there is great skiing. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and I love the atmosphere of the narrow winding streets in Nerja, which is only about a 10 minute drive.

Nerja is a lovely town with an abundance of bars and restaurants. You can take a horse and cart ride (30 euros) or a train around the town. There are normally artists, dancers etc at Balcon de Europe in the summer months and there is a great atmosphere. There is also a large underground car park.

Torrox Costa is only a 5 minute drive from the apartment and has a large promenade along the beach with a variety of bars and restaurants and also a park. This area is traffic free so is very safe for children.
There is also excercise equipment for adults should you feel like some exercise!
Both Torrox and Nerja are bustling in the summer months, but quieter out of season.
Taxi to Torrox Costa is about 5euros.

Torrox Pueblo is only about a 5 minute drive away and has kept its moorish village structure with attactive narrow streets. It has a main square with a few bars and restaurants.

You can also arrange to hire a car from El Pino office, which is only 5 minutes away. They sometimes arrange coach trips to Gibralta, horseracing etc. Horseracing is about an hour away and is enjoyable for all the family as they have bouncy castles etc for the children. They usally have race meetings once a week.

The Sierra Nevada has excellent skiing and you can hire skis/snowboards etc at a reasonable cost. You can drive there in just under 2 hours.

Baviera golf is only a 10 to 15 minute drive away and has an 18 hole golf course.

The donkey sanctuary is a 10/15 minute drive away in Nerja and is great for the children. They also have pot bellied pig, dogs, cats and turkeys which have all been rescued. There is a park and boules just around the corner from the donkey sanctuary and also a cafe.

The water park is only 15minutes away and is an excellent day out for all the family. It has great slides for all ages, including young children.

There is a large indoor shopping complex within a 15 minute drive, which has a variety of shops and a large supermarket (Eroski). It is air conditioned and very pleasant to walk around. This is where the cinema is.

There are 2 supermarkets near the apartment which stock almost everything you need.

Value for money
Just returned from the Bella Vista Apparts after having spent a relaxing week with the family. Overall very good, clean, quite, and a well equiped appartment. Swimming pools a salt water one, not everbodys cup of tea, but clean and well looked after. You need your own loungers or seating thoug. Theres a few small cafes, restaurants within walking distance as well as two small super markets, but you really need transport to go to the beach and the big Mercadonas. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and other eating places down by the beach on the promenade, lots of stalls in the night, and the hive of activity from dusk till late. Overall a good place for couples or families, but you really need transport to and from the places as the roads arnt the best. Would I go again?, sure but maybe when ita cooler.
A very nice apartment. We really enjoyed our stay here. It wasnt far from Nerja which was a lovely place and had good restaurants. Costa Torrox was also very nice. Can recommend the restaurant El Chicle at Torrox which only cost us 5 euros in a taxi. The golf at Baviera was excellent and not far away. Overall we thought the apartment was in a good position but you do need a car.
A very nice clean apartment which is well situated. We loved Torrox Village which is only a 5 min drive away. Burrianna beach is great for the children who really enjoyed the holiday. The promenade in Torrox Costa is also very nice and has a park for the children surrounded by a few bars, which was lovely for us to relax and have a drink whilst they played happily on the park.
