What the region has to offer
The autonomous region of Murcia lies in the southeast of the Spanish mainland. It borders Castile-La Mancha in the north, the region of Valencia in the east, the Mediterranean sea in the south, and Andalusia in the west.
The coastline of Murcia is characterised by its sandy beaches. The most beautiful natural wonder on the coast is the Mar Menor. It is a shallow lagoon or pool, which is the largest of its kind in Spain. The water in the lagoon is very salty and maintains a hot temperature (5ºC above the average Mediterranean temperature). It has four openings or passages that lead to the sea. The mountainous scenery of the region is full of foothills that roll in from the Penibetica and Subbetica ranges that help create the Guadalentin river and Sangonera depressions. The most outstanding part of the area is without doubt the Revolcadores massif, that reaches an altitude of 2,027 metres. The El Caruche, Espuña, La Pila and Ricote sierras are all over 1000 metres high.
Among the other splendid buildings to see in Murcia is the Bishops Palace located near the Cathedral. Dated 1748 it has two wonderful facades. The Convent Church of Santa Ana is 18th century and is the third church to be built on this site, the original being1490. Here you can try the freshly baked cakes, made by the nuns and served through a revolving hatch. The Church of San Miguel stands on the site of an earlier church. The 18th century church has wonderful coloured altarpieces. The Almudi dates from 1602 and was formerly the storage place for public corn collected as tithes. It was reconditioned in 1985 and now houses the art centre and city archives.

We had a great holiday and really enjoyed the house. The views were great and we had the flies under control. We will definitely be going back next year as had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Just returned from a 2 week family holiday. When you drive into the resort you have that wow factor as everything looks clean and spotless & a place where you would actually want to live. There are lots of pools to choose from which is great so you don’t get bored with just the one pool. There are a mixture of pools from deep to shallow (great for kids that cannot swim). Jacuzzi in one of the pools.
The resort is great if you want a peaceful holiday. We cooked a lot whilst we were there as there are not many facilities to eat out - just a couple of restaurants.
The house is fab - great facilities - dish washer - washing machine etc. Sun bathing on the terrace.
Like other people have said you do need to hire a car as it is quite out of the way - but the beach was only 20 min drive - Alicante airport 1 hour away. Car hire really simple to return at the end of holiday.
The only negative I would have which is very minor is the flies - they can be really annoying as the resort is near farm land - so would bring fly spray next time. The upstairs bedroom did get quite hot but slept with the windows open which helped. To be honest we did go when the temp was 37 in the day.
All in all a great holiday and fab place. Great for families.

We stayed here last year and said we would come back and we did. The location is just what we were looking for as it is quiet and peaceful and it is up to you to do what you want on the complex. We simply went to chill for 10 nights as we have very busy lifestyles and we certainly did that. The house facilities are perfect for home from home comforts, such as cooking, washing, TV etc etc, it's all there and we took far to many clothes with us again!
Would probably recommend going in July & August as all of the restaurants are open then as they coincide with the Spanish summer holidays. We will go again to La Torre and I know we will be able to chill out again and have a safe & secure holiday.

Had a really good week at this villa, weather was great. Villa was in a good location, with the only negative being the noise from the traffic on a quite busy road nearby, ok while in the Villa but quite noise when sunbathing on the roof terraces. Liked the layout of the Villa, car needed due to location. Villa was well equipped. Excellent communication with the key holders and owner. Recommended.

This villa is a lovely 'home from home' with amazing views and very spacious. Though we stayed in mid August it was peaceful and never crowded. Both the owner and keyholder were very helpful and easy to contact. There is a little cupboard filled with buckets and spades etc which was great for the kids to borrow.
The resort feels clean, quiet and safe (there are manned security gates at both entrances). We ate at the restaurants, played golf, used the communal pools, played tennis, used the club house and the beauty salon and visited the brand new 5* hotel. The local Spa is a minutes walk from the villa to which was very handy.
I would recommend hiring a car. We went to two beaches, two water parks, go karting and did lots of shopping nearby and the airport is only about 20 minutes drive.
Overall, it was a wonderful holiday.

Lovely home to stay in for 12 days, we arrived at 3pm check in, greeted by the key holder. The house is just over the road from the spar on sight and a 5 minute walk to the nearest pool, lovely site which we have stayed in before, easy for parking and the restaurants on the site are lovely too, there was a market on during the 2 Fridays we spent there and that was great with live music. There were English channels on the TV, cleaning products (didn't have to bring any washing home) the home is great for sunbathing on the terrace whilst the kids have a siesta. All in all we enjoyed our time there and would recommend.
