Villa overview - owner's description
Three bedroom air conditioned, south facing villa in quiet residential area, with shared pool and close to beautiful sandy beaches, with restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area, is beautifully furnished with full air conditioning, and access to a shared pool.
Inside the villa, there are 3 bedrooms, all air conditioned and in colder months these units double as heating. The large master bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom also has a double bed. The third bedroom, which is on the ground floor, has a single bed. Now all with English pillows .
There are two bathrooms, the upstairs has bath and WC, and the downstairs one has a shower and WC. The lounge has a corner unit settee and a dining table which seats six. There is a flat screen TV with English channels and a DVD player. Now with wifi .
The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, micro wave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and washing machine. Outside, there is a small garden with mature plants which are on a watering system. There is plenty of room to sit and eat outside, or lie on the sun loungers, tables are also provided. The garden is safe for children, as the large gate is only opened from inside by an entry system.
A large wind out blind across the front of the house gives you shade should you need it as it is a sunny south facing house. There is also a roof terrace solarium from which you can see the sea.
There are beautiful local sandy beaches all within walking distance, as are the marina, the old Torre, restaurants, bars, heladeria (ice cream parlours) and supermarkets.
Torre de la Horadada is a small coastal village which has an old Spanish square housing several restaurants and bars, ideal for dining, relaxing and people watching. The local council has developed the area very tastefully with small parks and cycle tracks so it is ideal for cycling, walking or spending time on the stunning, blue flag sandy beaches. In spring the small cliffs are adorned with pretty pink flowers. The promenade is lined with palm trees where you can walk for miles, or just sit at one of the ice cream parlours and gaze across the marina to the sea.
Pilar de la Horadada is about half a mile inland and is the local town where there are several banks, a medical centre, tapas bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. There is a lovely square with a catholic church and several coffee and cake shops, well worth a visit. There is also an English community church which is very friendly. They have several fiestas every year which are a spectacular sight.
Just 10 minutes drive away at Lo Pagan , there are the therapeutic spas and beaches where they say the mud has special healing powers, well worth a visit.
There are also several golf courses in the area. Within 15 mins drive of the villa, you can enjoy Villa Martin Golf Course, Las Ramblas and Campoamor, with the famous La Manga Golfing Resort and first class restaurants only 30mins away.
There is also a local bus service to travel further distances. A little further a field, are the historic towns of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca with their museums, castles and much history.
The house is not suitable for a wheelchair as there are 2 steps up to the house and patio. The villa is on the coastal side of the N332 coast road. It is only half a mile to the motorway, 15mins drive from Murcia's San Javier airport or 55mins from Alicante airport. We do not allow smoking in the property, and would not be able to accept bookings from groups of young people.

the house was lovely and had everything we required for a nice holiday.It is in a quiet area but we found the buses dependable to journey further afield.The area is flat as a pancake which was great.The loudest noise we heard was a cricket which kept us awake 2 nights running so if you are a party animal avoid but if you are after a good relaxing time it was spot on
Most enjoyable stay. Villa was well equipped and comfortable. Quiet area within walking distance to the sea and town square. Communal swimming pool a few minutes walk and located in the next block. Owner was most helpful and obliging. Would recommend for a chill out value for money break.
We stayed for four weeks and enjoyed the accommodation and the location. It was a very quiet and peaceful place and easy to walk to the centre of Torre de la Horadada and the marina where there are good places to eat and drink. It was great to have breakfast in the sunshine sat on the solarium or the porch. The owners have been really helpful and communicated information before we arrived. We will be looking to book again next year if we arrange to visit this area again. Recommended for a couple or small family and would be great in the warmer months too!
We found the property had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Was very clean and homely. We used the pool most days and although high season was pretty quiet. Weather was very hot whilst there and found the air conditioning very comforting. Found the owner, Jessica was very helpful in all we asked. If we were to go again we would definitely recommend hiring a car.
