Sant Lluís is a picturesque town and district on the south east corner of Menorca, approximately 2km away from the island's capital Maó-Mahón. Founded by the French in the 18th century this traditional town is named after King Louis IX and has a fascinating history spanning over 300 years. It is located within a short walking distance of the popular beaches on the south coast and has plenty of attractive amenities that cater to families.

Staying in one of our holiday rentals in Sant Lluís puts everything at your fingertips: wide streets with traditional 18th century houses, a lively town square, local businesses and restaurants, a stunning, varied coastline and fine white sandy beaches. For an authentic Menorcan experience, the weekly market is where you can indulge in traditional Spanish produce, home grown wine and freshly made bread and pastries at local prices. Learn about the region's culture at Molí de Dalt - a restored windmill which is now a folklore museum open to the public. Sant Lluis is also popular for its ongoing concerts and exhibitions that celebrate the work of local artists, craftsmen and musicians.

For active holidaymakers and nature enthusiasts there are many ways to enjoy this beautiful region. You'll find plenty of cycling routes and even a horseback riding area. A particularly popular event is the trotting races that take place each summer at the Aero Club Hippodrome on the main Mahón-Sant Lluis road.

Turquoise waters and dazzling sunshine are a short drive away from this resort. Recharge your batteries on the tranquil beaches of Biniancolla, Binissafullér and S'Algar. People-watch, take a dip, or soak up the sun's rays on the Blue Flag beaches of Punta Prima and Binibeca. For a change of scenery, the island's capital Maó-Mahón is just a few minutes north by car.
